Do not get a long term contract with them. Even after your contract is finished, and you request to stop their services they will keep you charging .
* The response by the owner is false. I have all the paperwork and had tried to reach out the manager several times. The collection agency saw my proofs and finally agreed with me as well. The service at this Nashville location is mediocre.

I don't think I have ever made a review in my life but my recent experience with this gym has forced my hand. I have been a member of Anytime for over 4 years. My name is literally on the wall for 150+ visits a year. This August I was forced to move to another part of town after a tree fell on my home. During that fiasco, my debit card was stolen, perhaps by a worker or anyone really since there was a huge hole in my house. The card was quickly cancelled and I did not think about my Anytime membership, understandably. I have been going to another gym with the anticipation of returning to Anytime once the repairs on my home are complete.
I got a call last week from a debt collector saying I owed nearly 300 dollars for four months of membership and late fees. I never received ONE email, letter or phone call from the gym. After four years of membership! I will be filing a case with small claims court and reporting this incident to the BBB.

Itβs a same as most every other Anytime Fitnesses, a bit on the smaller side. But what is so awful about this gym is they strangle their members with Glade plug-ins. I can barely breathe every time Iβm in there because the smell makes me so sick. I understand they want it to smell nice, but it gives some people headaches plus there is a ton of research on bad they are for you. When I workout I donβt want to smell anyone or anything. Lose the Glades.

Hard to cancel. Essentially stole $150 from me after the key fob was disabled. My debit card number changed (as they do frequently because of fraud), and I was sent to collections with no notification from the gym. I reported this gym to the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Federal Trade Commission.
I recommend working out Planet Fitness for a fifth the price, similar level of cleanliness (not great) and same amount of broken equipment.

I originally signed up in 2022, for what I was told was a month to month, that could be cancelled in writing. I showed up in March 2023 and my account had been cancelled. When I was finally able to find a staff member to resolve my problem, I was told the previous manager did many things incorrectly, including putting a termination date on my membership. I was reinstated with a new account, given a contract to sign, and told I would continue to be on a month to month agreement.
It is now June 2023 and I am attempting to cancel my account but I am told that I owe the remainder of my balance for a year long contract. When I amicably responded, I was sent the contract that I signed - after I had been told it was month to month. I should have read the contract instead of assuming the person speaking to me was actually continuing the membership I originally signed up for. I am not interested in determining malice or incompetence, I just want to cancel my account.
I am unsure if this is blatant predatory behavior or ineptitude on behalf of the staff present. This gym is typically mediocre in terms of cleanliness, towels are no longer offered, and staffed hours seem to be more of a suggestion. If you are on the fence about joining this gym, just go somewhere else. Things are often broken, part of the ceiling had fallen for 2 weeks due to some sort of leak, it is expensive, not much is offered for what you pay, and there are other options out there with a much better value. By all accounts, do not trust anyone that works there to tell you the truth - as I have unfortunately found out they have no integrity.

This gym is small but has everything you need. I was going to sign up here but the combination of price and enrollment fee is what changed everything. In terms of size and equipment, this gym offers much less than in surrounding areas, but at a more costly price. The person who gave us a tour and told us about memberships was kind and helpful, but the fees and dues here werenβt worth it to me ultimately.

I donβt have experience interfacing with service. I have visited different locations in different states and this one is the cleanest where I have been. Equipment is okay, a tad limited because of the AF model. Cardio equipment is above average.

The pros: This is a convenient location near the airport which is why I signed up for a membership.
The cons: During staffed hours I am sure this place is fine but when I show up in the pre-dawn hours the equipment and bathrooms are often dirty. It also doesn't seem like the safest location. For example, as I was working out near the front of the gym someone banged on the glass telling me to let him in. I did not recognize the man and refused, but someone else opened the door for him, not indicating whether they knew the guy or not. I won't be going back to this particular gym because I haven't had very many good experiences here.

After several attempts of trying to get things privately and amicably resolved, I have decided to post here so hopefully help someone avoid the same mistakes I did. I have brought SEVERAL concerns up with this particular location including feeling uncomfortable after a few inappropriate interactions. They advised me to βtry a different location if I was afraid of overcrowdingβ and have completely ghosted every email Iβve sent since. I live over 30 minutes away from any other anytime fitness location. I reached out to the workout anytime parent company customer service who have reached out to the owner as well and they continue to ignore my emails and are claiming that βall of my issues have been resolved.β
Not only is this locationβs owners unprofessional and unhelpful, the equipment consistently breaks even while in use and they are lacking several pieces of vital equipment, none of which you would know until you are allowed to see/use the gym which isnβt until after you join due to covid rules.
Save yourself the headache, do not join, and find a gym that will actually appreciate your business. I made the mistake of signing a contract for a cheaper monthly cost and now Iβm stuck unless I pay out the remaining 18 months of my contract.

Have tried multiple times to cancel a membership that I did not sign up for. In the past I have always paid cash for just one month At a time.
This past time Chelsy illegality signed me up for a two year agreement without my consent or signature of a contract. I clearly stated that I only wanted one month paid in cash like I have done in the past. But I am still getting letters in the mail stating my membership is past due. After contacting the facility to cancel they assured me they would cancel for me and never did.
I will be reporting this facility to the BBB.

No fans, small/cramped, feels packed if more than 5 people are there at the same time. But after 11pm it slows down and the place is pretty much yours. They also provide towels for the shower which is nice!

I am an over the road truck drive so I visit a lot of gyms throughout the country. This gym is extremely clean and so are the bathrooms. The staff is constantly cleaning, which is a plus, since cov-19. Added bonus I was able to park my truck and trailer behind the building

I was assured by a manager that my membership would not be extended after my contract ended and come to find I've been being charged 4 months after. I've contacted the manger again, oh of course, no longer with, I wonder why... and this team has been rude and unwilling to work with me.

We tried to call and the number is out of order, my sister went down there to talk about a family plan and the lady was rude to her and said there isn't one where we could work out 2 at a time, it'd have to be 1 individual plan per family member and we couldn't share. The place seemed to be missing alot of equipment compared to some of the other guns we've seen around town for cheaper. Prices seem to vary depending on who you talk to So i assume some employees are trying to pocket some cash. Wouldn't recommend.

It's Christy, Owner of Anytime Fitness Donelson. I tried calling your cell, but couldn't get through. We have repeatedly requested that you not use our gym and restrooms as a place to sleep or as your temporary dwelling place. You have been caught sleeping and hanging out and not actually working out multiple times. We again got complaints this morning concerning your behavior. At this point we have disabled your key. It will no longer work at our facility. I'm sorry to have to terminate your membership, but we have to address the concerns of other members and we have given you multiple chances to comply with our requests of not sleeping and loitering in the facility.
She totally lied. I would love to get in shape and always did workout each stop by.
I deny such claims and expect a pro rata refund.
We will not give a refund. We have you on camera. We also have a statement from our Janitorial crew that you were sleeping in the bathroom. $359.88 is pretty cheap for 2 months worth of shelter, water and electricity.
Very expensive workout, thanks for stealing.

I cancelled my 2 memberships 6 months ago at this location on lebanon rd Donelson. I have continued to see the membership charges out of my account each month. I have called over and over and Iβve to have them stop payment and they have not responded or reimbursed. Finally after trying to get ahold of someone at this location I called and Brandy the owner answered. I simply told her what the situation was and she was so rude and ugly to me. Yelling and acting as if she does not care about the customers but rather the money. All I wanted was what was agreed upon months prior. This gym is horrible, from the service to being overcrowded and never able to use the equipment. I would definetly go somewhere else for your money.

Their freeweight area only has one barbell station and one Smith's machine that are situated so they are difficult to have people use at the same time. They are also missing an assisted dip machine. Overall, it is small and expensive for what you get, but the facilities were clean and well maintained. I liked that the doors are locked all the time and you need a special key fob to get in so I felt very safe. However, I regret my decision to spend $30/ month + a sign on fee.
