I never see any staff or members physically wiping machines to disinfect before or after use. The bathrooms are disgusting. The manager Alexis, told me that I was not allowed to disinfect the shower with the only provided disinfectant in the entire building. I decided to cancel my membership because the facility is dirty and the attitude I received because I wanted to have a more sanitary environment is weird to me. They hang dirty unsanitary floor mats where you are suppose to hang your towel and I’ll attach picture of what the shower floors often look like

I love this gym. Been a member for over 2 years. Nothing better than a great workout and sometimes a tan. This facility is super clean and the staff is great. I love the hours....24/7. That's right. There are treadmills, lots of them, steppers, stationary bikes, weights, and various exercise machines for all body parts. It's my refuge. There are also showers, lockers vibrating lounges, and high tech tanning beds that say they provide you with vitamin D. Anyway, when I'm stressed, or not, that's my thing. Go and enjoy! Great attitude adjuster!

I signed up at their Arlington location. I was reassigned to travel out of state for work and when I tried to cancel at the gym when I came in the staff told me the manager would be able to cancel my membership and they were not in. Then I went to another arc gym and asked again where I was told I could only cancel where I initially started my membership. I was on my way out of Tennessee when I went to the ATC in Jackson where I was told I needed to cancel at the Arlington location, so I called and no one answered. I then get a charge for 60.40 on my account the following week . I googled the number to cancel my arc membership and again I was told I needed to cancel at Arlington but yet again the manager was unavailable and on vacation (wish I had their schedule) I was told to fill out the contact us form on the site and the manager would respond quickly on that when I requested to be refunded at least the annual fee since I had no plans of being back in the area let alobe step foot in an ATC after being passed along. Well, the manager never responded to my email but when I tried calling they said the best they can do is cancel my membership and not credit me the annual fee back to my account because they have “no history of me trying to cancel” but can see I haven’t been in one of their gyms since the end of November. They are never available .. their staff are kids that pass every issue into the other gym or to the manager who apparently is always on vacation.

They do not care about their customers when there is an issue. When I cancelled my membership from here I still kept getting charged so I called them and they won’t help me or refund me. Instead they want MORE money to cancel it!!! They told me I should’ve received an email when I cancelled it online but they never sent it. Very unprofessional and I do recommend going here. Not being able to go in and cancel your membership in person is the stupidest thing i’ve ever heard.

I’d highly encourage you to find a different gym or fitness club than ATC. I had an account with them and closed it prior to moving out of state. I thought all was well and noticed recently I had a mark on my credit report, which my credit score is just shy of 800.. so I pay my bills. Apparently ATC sent $120 balance to a debt collector that had never reached out to me or sent me any paperwork.. but, why would they? When I closed out my account. You’d think if I legit owed them any funds they’d reach out via mail, email or phone which they’ve never done.

The gym itself is mediocre. It’s always packed with people who like to stand around machines not doing anything. If you like to have remarks against your credit even though you have an impeccable credit history, go here.

If this is how they conduct business, I hope they close down..

Clean facility. Recent updates, newly painted, brighter lighting, sanitizer station and cleaners conveniently located throughout gym. Still plenty of cardio machines, numerous treadmills and ellipticals, 3 Stepmills, 2 rowing machines. Stretch area with mats. Plate loaded and Pin loading machines. Two squat racks, 1 Smith machine. Stretching area with mats. Recent addition to tanning room, new tanning bed. 24 hour facility with scan key entry. Always clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I love this gym but it’s just too cold inside with the FANS GOING (early in the morning 4am) during the winter months. Some of us are older and have arthritis 😩 so a cold fitness facility doesn’t work. Maybe they could get a sauna or something to even things out a bit

Not family friendly. If you want to take an underage child (12-17) with you they must have a separate membership, even if you have the premium package. (Or you can pay $5-$10 each time they come)

This location: Staff does not smile or know how to interact with customers. Rude. Cold.
---I came in one day needing to escape through workout..one of those days with lots of tears, just needed to have a healthy release and not be bothered. Upon arrival I was instructed that I could not work out without first updating my photo which I politely requested I do next time I came in, but was refused. (A photo that was taken 2 months prior when I started the membership) Needless to say I didn't workout that day. Arlington is closer but Oakland staff is way better.

I like ATC, they could definitely get better equipment but you get what you pay for. This is a public gym, I don't know if people understand that. Gym etiquette is terrible but probably is everywhere. Always nice to see the New Years resolution crowd dwindle down 😂

Extremely rude staff! Especially the big lady up front with the blonde hair. I asked her if she could help me with a machine that was frozen she rolled her eyes and was beyond bothered to have to put her phone down to assist me and then when I was ready to tan she saw me at the front waiting meanwhile she went back and forth on her phone for several minutes before even coming back to the desk. She really should have been busy wiping down the nasty facility instead of playing on her phone there was trash on the floor and liquid where someone spilled a drink that was there when I walked in and still there when I walked out. Cancelled my membership to find a better gym with decent customer service not kids who would rather play on the phone

I love this gym. They have awesome equipment and tanning beds. The treadmill s are state of the art first class. They also have a variety of cardio machines, weight machines and free weights. Something for everyone. The staff is great too. Did I mention they are open 24 hours?

It's a gym...you pay for what you get. If you come when staff are out (i.e. after hours), then it's a toss up on whether the HVAC is on or not and whether the (bad) music is ridiculously loud.

Staff is always nice and helpful. Equipment and locker rooms are usually pretty clean. Good luck however if you plan on squatting or benching. The gym has 2 squat racks and 2 flat benches. It makes no difference whether I come at 6 pm after work or 9 pm. There are way too many members for the size of this gym. Needs way more space and enough equipment to accommodate all of their members. I'll be switching to a gym that I can actually workout at instead of having to constantly wait for equipment.

This gym is always packed because they keep taking new members non stop making it impossible to exercise unless you come past the midnight. One other thing to point out is that most men do not wash their hands once they are finished with their business in the bathroom; they just walk right out and touch everything spreading their germs. I couldn't attend such a gross place.

Decent enough and local. Biggest gripe is more about the corporate decision to keep other services such as showers and *lockers* closed while the gym floor is reopened. It is an asinine decision- an open gym floor with shared equipment is more "dangerous" than an area as private as a shower or locker, so why close the less risky?
And if they're regularly disinfecting the equipment, how much more difficult is it to disinfect a locker?

Staff had masks on and checked everyone entering temperature. Equipment was spaced apart to help with social distancing practices. But only myself and a couple other patrons were wearing protective masks. I wish everyone was required to wear a mask to protect themselves and other members.

Christ on a Friday, I'm just trying to find out what time the tanning beds open. Anybody have a clue? Can't seem to find it on the site.
But while I'm here, I quit going to ATC in Arlington over a year ago because, for the most part if you go in the afternoons or evenings, it's a teenager hangout for kids who want to prop up the machines and don't have a clue of what they're doing; while holding up the entire gym and trying to show off in front of the other little kids. Meanwhile, the people who are actually trying to do a workout routine and make some gains have to wait.
One guy said you have to wait in line while these people play on their phones; he's 100% right. And God forbid you say anything to them.
I actually do my workouts at the Bartlett Rec Center and only came back to ATC to tan.
I'm not sure if there's a serious workout facility in Shelby County. They all seem to be chains that herd in members, but never increase facility size.

ATC fitness is about to lose three customers. So My credit card was updated because somewhere someone hacked a store. So they sent me a new card. ATC ran the old card and is charging me a late fee of $19 per account because it did not go through. I got the email today that it did not go through. I immediately called to update it. That's not good enough for them. It's five days late because of this. WTH ATC? **Update** To add to this my contract says its not late until 10 days past due. It has not been 10 days. It has only been 5. I wonder how many other people are tricked into paying late fees they do not owe.
