Horrible experience honestly. I joined in May of 2023. Around a year later I canceled my membership and moved 4 states away(800 miles). Upon finding my account wasn’t cancelled I promptly called the Lakeland location to get my account cancelled. I was directed to a ABC fitness solutions where I was told my account information was incorrect and I was unable to cancel. I was however able to remove my card from the account which I did. As I was being charged monthly for an inactive membership. I’m now being faced with $250 dollars in fees and a collection on my credit report! I mean seriously! It’s a membership you cannot cancel! You have been WARNED!!

It's great that it's open 24 hours. It has everything you need to get a complete workout and reasonable membership fees. It's a smaller gym so it can get a little crowded at times. Also, I've been told by a former member that moved away from the area that it's a hassle to cancel your membership.

I'm a fan of atc in general and have no complaints about the equipment. Other have noted it is outdated, and while that's true it still does the job fine. As long as they are functioning. The issue with the Lakeland location specifically is the crowd. I can't speak for how it is in the afternoon, but any time between 7am-1pm if you're in that building, you will be surrounded by people that have no clue how to speak without screaming. One in particular hangs out every morning and shouts as loud as he can for hours on end. The other issue is ego lifting and people dumping weights just for the excessive noise. Guy doing tricep pushdowns with 30lbs is slamming it louder than someone doing a five plate deadlift. Staff doesn't really care. Don't come in here thinking you'll be able to listen to your music or whatever, that won't happen. Learn to embrace shouting and people slamming baby weights for the duration

I like ATC Fitness because I have 24 hour access. But the equipment is outdated and never cleaned. I've gone to this gym for the last 4 months and the same dust/ filth I saw on my first day is still there with added dust. The gym unfortunately smells horrible and the mens bathroom has dead bugs on the wall that the staff let stay there. The gym should have a pressure wash or steam for all equipment every other week.

The gym has the basic essentials you'd find in any gym, and is open 24 hours which is a big plus for me. What isn't is the cleanliness in this particular location, a decent amount of the machines are dirty and I don't think they clean the carpet all that much.

Great little gym for a great workout. Plenty of treadmills, variety of stationery bikes, free weights and weight machines. Since it's on the small side there are no additional rooms for aerobic type activities. They have many other locations that may accommodate that. Great atmosphere for a great workout.

I usually go to atc fitness between 11pm and 12pm and the place is empty. They offer all the necessary equipment to hit all the muscle groups. From treadmill to free weights I enjoy the variety and 24/7 service provided.

I have really enjoyed my time here! An affordable monthly subscription gets you everything you'd need for your workouts! I personally love the premium service as the flexibility to go from location to location is fantastic and allows more freedom, plus the massage machines feel great after a good set.
Environment is great too. The staff has been very kind to me personally and the equipment is kept in good condition!

Nice gym! Its got weights, thats Why I go. Clean, except for the sweaty dudes that don't wipe off the equipment when they are done..... I never see the staff calling anyone out on that btw...just saying. Most people rerack their weights...most, not all, again, I never see the staff calling anyone out on that either.

I was a member in good standing at the Lakeland location and followed all gym rules to the letter for 3.5 years. Last night, another member entered the gym wearing a tactical military vest. We live in the post 9/11 age but apparently no one in the leadership structure sees the issue. Excuses such as "We know him" and "The vest was empty" just don't cut it, and obviously they are completely unconcerned with client safety. I have tolerated other issues at this gym including a sexist manager who talks about women (including co-workers) like animals and shows inappropriate material on his phone to gym members frequently. There are much better places where management actually cares about their members.

Very Rude Management when going to cancel our membership. I tried to cancel membership twice online. The online cancelation got denied both times due to our credit card on file was incorrect. Not sure how that is possible if they are charging it every month. Then we got hit with their 95 dollar maintenance fee. What a scam!!!!!! Canceling should not be that difficult.

From an avid fitness enthusiast: The best thing about ATC is the price. $15 a month gives you access to one location and $25 a month gives you access to all of the locations plus free unlimited tanning and now, hydro-massage. what I love about ATC is that most people they are just simply want to work out. It's not about competition or being social. It is less of a fitness club and more of an actual gym. The Lakeland location is pretty spacious and has a pretty decent variety of equipment for strength training. As for cardio, they have plenty of treadmills, ellipticals, 3 stair climbers and one rowing machine that works. My only complaint is that they need new equipment. A couple of machines are falling apart, because this gym has been around for a while. Update: they just added these hydro-massage chairs for premium members. So, for 8 minutes, after your workout, you can lay in a chair that massages you with water and it IS AWESOME!! It is worth $25/month. Best deal is town..

There's almost no room for streching and floor work like planks and such, small gym so I supposed that's to be expected. The other day a woman was parked on a mat right in front of the captians chair for a solid hour. Thus blocking at least two machines. Lots of socializing while sitting on machines. Long wait for squat racks and free weight area. I'm not a fan of machines but that's really your only option most of the time. I can't wait to have my garage set up again so I can cancel. But it's "ok" for what it is, I guess.

These places require you to cancel 30-59 days in advance of when you want to actually quit the facility. They say 30 days, but if they just took your money out of your bank account yesterday, you cannot start the 30 days then. You will be billed again 29 days later, and you can use the facilities for 59 more days! Yippee! Why can't you just cancel any time and they just let you continue for the rest of the month you've paid for? Because they don't make as much money that way! They know a lot of people will forget to cancel until they already want to be gone, and yet they'll get another monthly charge out of them. Oh, and if you stop them from withdrawing money from your account, then by the fine print in the contract, you haven't really cancelled, and you will continue to accrue charges monthly until they hand you over to a collection agency. Caveat emptor!
