Amazing place for all fitness levels! Prior to D1-W Nashville, I had never stuck with a fitness routine for more than a few weeks. I've now been going to D1 for almost a year and a half. The coaches are ALL so friendly and supportive. While I'm not a student athlete, I've witnessed how invested and patient the coaches are with young athletes. They truly care about results and it shows. When young athletes get distracted, the coaches have an amazing ability to steer them back to the workout. I'm a 50-something year old woman who has NEVER been in a gym. I was badly out of shape when I started and extremely intimidated about the whole process. I still have work to do, but they motivate me to keep coming back. They never get discouraged with me and keep me from getting discouraged with myself. This place is for everyone at all fitness levels. I highly recommend D-1 West Nashville.

I first started going to D1 West Nashville 3 years ago when I moved to Nashville. At the time I was in the worst shape I’ve ever been in and despite lifting for years wasn’t seeing a ton of growth. The workouts out D1 at very well structured for all skill levels and the coaches are extremely knowledgeable and willing to help anyone learn ways to improve. When you think you’ve given a workout everything the coaches and community help motivate you to always push harder and support you every day. I took a break from D1 for around a year but now that I’m back the the same has happened, i have not only gotten stronger once again but have been able to be apart of one of the greatest communities in Nashville! I highly recommend trying one of their challenges or dropping in for a class yourself!

I came across their ad on Instagram for their 6 week body transformation challenge. I went in, unsure of myself and what I could do, but I knew I needed a community and accountability. To say that they saved my life, is an understatement. I came in recovering from a mental health episode, unsure of life and myself. Slowly, I built my confidence back, rebuilt my body, mind and spirit. All the coaches were thoughtful, encouraging, and amazing at what they did. Little by little, I felt as if I was back in my high school body, my energy and focus came back a couple of months in. I slowly stopped relying on my medications and looked forward to my workouts every week, my therapist and I noticed the shift over time. The community there made me feel welcomed and motivated me to keep going. I have now moved out of state, but this was my first gym community in my adulthood, and they truly changed my life in every aspect. Thank you D1, but also, thank you all the D1 West coaches that I had the absolute pleasure to meet. You literally gave me a reason to keep going, to advocate for myself, and to keep on growing in every aspect. I will miss you all dearly, and will forever hold you near my heart.
And of course, when I am back in Nashville, I will stop for a workout 🥹🤍

I Just completed a 6 week challenge at D1. It was a hard but amazing 6 weeks. As someone who had been out of the habit, the workouts and exercises were definitely challenging, but the coaches and other gym goers were so gracious and helpful. Go at your own pace and listen to your body! I am now back in the habit and starting to feel strong again! Thank you everyone at D1!

It's especially convenient how you can view their class schedule in real time in the app and sign up in a moment's notice. The atmosphere is ideal for individuals looking for that extra push. Sometimes there are too many people within the class, which may discourage the individuals that may need the extra push. The coaches are super helpful and give you the right guidance - whether its correcting your form or holding you accountable. I don't recall a workout where I wasn't drenched from the intensity of the workout!

I have spent 6 weeks at D1 now and I have so many good things to share. The workouts are challenging, but not repetitive. Each instructor has their own unique style and I really enjoy the variation in the classes day to day. The class format allows you to go at your own pace and as you learn and develop your skills you can push yourself more and more each day. I have never been very into working out and I went in expecting just a good sweat, but I have actually learned a lot from these classes. I noticed the progress very quickly and I feel more fit and motivated than I have felt in a very long time thanks to these workouts. They offer a variety of class times to accommodate most schedules and I encourage anyone interested to give it a try.

Love the atmosphere and the workout variation. Everybody shows up wanting to get better which is inspiring.
The coaches encourage me to always try harder. The classes can get too big so the coach to trainee ratio isn't the best when you're learning form. But, the coaches are always willing to give you corrections and clarifications if you ask. They do a great job selecting coaches that motivate and inspire. The coaches sometimes take the group classes with us as well.

Nicest ops team and trainers. I’ve been training here for 6 weeks and my dad bod has officially vanished. The workouts are very reminiscent of my high school sports conditioning, so there’s a sense of nostalgia to coming here also. Definitely recommend others try it out.

D1 has been a great experience. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful with you. They do a good job of encouraging you and pushing you to get better. They are good at making adjustments to your program and showing you the proper technique for exercises in order to maximize the outcomes. They make you feel welcomed regardless of your age and ability or your level of strength and conditioning.
If you are looking to try to get back in shape I would recommend that you give D1 a chance.

I did the 6-week challenge and my overall rating would be a 4 out of 5. I saw the ad on face and decided to give it a try. I was required to complete certain things that are on the contract and they were honestly not hard to meet (3 workouts per week, post weekly scale picture, and reply back to coaches check in). I’ve never been in workouts of that strength type/kind of group workouts, but all went great, gained strength, and learned much.
Coaches and management are very nice, helpful, and encouraging. Whenever I needed the help, asked any questions, they were happy to help kindly.
Workouts are very challenging, but as a group, I got the motivation to keep going.
Overall, I think it is a very helpful program to try, and it makes a difference.

There is no limit to the energy that the coaches bring to the gym. I just completed my 6 week challenge with D1 West Nashville. Overall this was a great experience. The coaches are extremely well versed in training technique and take time to listen to your goals and current limitations so they can provide the proper feedback and injury prevention steps. The front office staff is very communicative and sends reminders throughout the challenge to keep you engaged and on track. The only downside I can comment to is the size of the facility. With as much activity that comes through here on a weekly basis they could easily use three times the current space. The pace of the workouts is usually intense and the community atmosphere really leads to wanting to get the most out of each workout. Not everyone can be a D1 athlete, but everyone can have the opportunity to train like one. If you put in the effort and intensity, you will most definitely see results. Hustle is free!

Signed up for D1’s 6 week challenge and absolutely loved the experience. I came into the classes Without working consistently the last few months and the classes challenged me everyday and were very fun and rewarding. I joined D1’s 6 week challenge in hopes of (re) kick-starting my fitness journey and the experience did not disappoint! If you’ve ever fallen off of anything- fitness especially, you may know just how hard it is to simply start again. in my experience, that’s been the toughest part. The structure and emphasis on accountability of the program - with check ins, personal coaches and weekly requirements- was essentially just wha I needed as someone struggling to get back on the horse.
While I’m typically a lone- workout kind of girl, I have to admit the sense of community and relationships built with the program were absolutely the cherry on top.
Coaches Vasey and Brian at West Nashville are rockstars and will meet you exactly where you need them to every time. I don’t think my experience would have been quite what it was without them! While each and every workout is SURE to push you past your limit, they place the same emphasis on building a FUN/ friendly/ welcoming environment.

I found D1 through the six week challenge and for anyone that is looking for a gym or workout that makes you feel strong and capable, D1 Training is it. Awesome support and guidance from the coaches and if you are someone who is a “just-one-more” type of person to prove to yourself you can do it, this is the place. The encouragement to constantly challenge yourself, but also respect your limits made me feel the most comfortable but driven than any other place I’ve experienced. Hands down loved it, And enjoyed my time every day I walked into the facility even at 5:15am! AWESOME! I did the 6 week challenge and lost 3% body fat and 5 inches and that was on a terrible diet, so imagine if I were discipline. It is a challenging workout and different everyday. They will modify the workout if needed, but the energy is so high I forget about my back pain, hip pain, bad knees, shoulder pain and pushed through. Most important building muscle is gradually taking the pain away.

Great trainers and very challenging workouts. It HIIT workouts are your thing than this is the place for you. The community feeling is great, but classes can be a bit crowded and hectic. There is minimal access to open gym time and not much equipment if you want to do your own workouts outside of class time. Check the schedule to be sure class time work for you as the schedule is a bit limited.

In just six weeks and having attended 5-6 classes per week (mixture of adult and bootcamp classes), I gained noticeable muscle in my legs and upper body and felt stronger than when I started. All of the coaches are extremely knowledgeable, well-trained, and understand how to build a solid rapport with D1 members. They take the time to learn everyone's names, strengths, and weaknesses. They get to know you personally, which I loved! It is also very impressive how well the coaches are able to plan the workouts time-wise to a tee according to the schedule on the D1 app. Annie and her team are also extremely organized and are in complete control of everything going on at the facility. D1 West Nashville was more than just a workout facility for me. It was a family that I looked forward to seeing, being with, and challenging myself with everyday. If I didn't have to move for my job, I would have continued to attend without a doubt. I personally would not attend any other gym in Nashville!

I love working out here. I’m noticing results just after finishing my 6 week program. All the coaches and staff are awesome. Vasey is the coach I’ve worked with pretty much the entire time and he is great. From his knowledge and help throughout the workouts to the small details like knowing everyone by name and personally motivating you during your workout and making sure your form and technicalities are on point so your getting optimal production from each workout. Annie and Kayley and the staff I’ve dealt with have also been great; from sending motivational texts to keep me going and making sure I’m staying on it and also answering any questions I’ve had. This has been a top notch experience and I look forward to continuing this journey and making fitness a lifestyle for myself and my family. I can’t really think of anything negative to say. If I had to come up with something I’d say if you are not willing to work hard and push yourself you won’t enjoy it but if your serious about your goals and want to achieve them and want genuine help with each step and aspect of living a healthy lifestyle I would recommend this to anyone.

Great workout option for those want to focus on strength building. Facility is new, centrally located, and outfit with a variety of equipment. Staff is very sound in their technically mastery of a variety of moves and overall welcoming and motivating. I really appreciate the incorporation of team/partner based workouts and competitions from time to time and gym wide social events to create a sense of community. There is decent variety in the workouts from day to day to avoid any monotony or burnout. Decent selection of workout times as well to fit most schedules. The best thing is that there is a wide range of people (gender, age, fitness levels) who attend and you do not have to feel intimidated or out of place when working out.

Best gym in Nashville!!! Such an incredible atmosphere that truly turns into a gym family. The first day I walked in, everyone was so genuine and down to earth. D1 is one of the best workouts and most welcoming facilities in Nashville! The workouts, combined with the amazing trainers, make it a place for anyone at any level to get an excellent workout in. I constantly leave rejuvenated and feeling like I had a great workout every day, (and I look forward to the soreness the next day!) The classes are always fun, and the coaches are so motivating and encouraging. Between boot camp and kickboxing, these workouts are incredible. D1 is the best group fitness facility I have been part of! I leave feeling challenged after each workout, and sore the next morning. I love that there’s a strong community to push each other and celebrate our wins, and our trainers continuously encourage us to improve. Also, taking cardio kickboxing has replaced my runs as my cardio - its so fun and high energy!! Definitely will be a member here for a while, and absolutely recommend checking it out.
