The best deal in town. Tons of parking. Climbing includes top roping, sport climbing and bouldering. Also, locally owned and operated.

This place is a blast!
New routes pop up pretty regularly(some stay for friggin ever lol)..
The warmup area is really nice.. and they even have a Nintendo switch for people to play.
Definitely check it out if you've been considering it!
And don't forget if you get a membership at this gym but not the one that allows you to use all the gyms like I have you can get it for cheaper!

Riverside is a great casual gym location with a non-competitive, beginner friendly vibe.
Also includes an excellent workout area for those wanting to push their limit.

The staff was super friendly. They even took time out of their day to show me and my son how to use some of the equipment we bought him for his birthday. Safety was a really big priority for them and it made us all. Have a wonderful time.

This place is great! Their routesetters work really hard to keep the routes constantly rotating so thereβs always something new to try for climbers of various skill levels. Membership is pricey, but worth it if you want a fresh workout experience week after week.

Such a fun an exhilarating way to challenge your body and mind. It's great to see people of all ages here enjoying the sport. I've been twice, new to climbing, but I see more visits in my future. Brought my 5 year old today he had a ball and he did great!

It's a decent climbing gym and fitness area. A bit annoying you are not able to train climbing to the very top every climb. If you are always training to 90% you will continuously lose 10% over your training session. Nice little training area upstairs though.

I've climbing at highpoint for years. The gym is nice and has lots of features. I don't love how the owners treat the climbing community. They barely pay the employees minimum wage, they promise upgrades to the facilities constantly but never follow through (they have the money they just choose to open more gyms in other cities instead of fixing the ones they already have), and they make members pay for everything. If you are just visiting its a good gym but if you want community that is in it for the climbers then head over to Synergy.

Every time we come to town, since my son was little, he has always enjoyed coming to rock climb here. All ages and levels welcome, from young to old, love the energy here. Great work out, for sure, you won't be disappointed. Great to have certified climber with you if you can!! If not, still enough to do!

Employee Peter of the Amnicola location has both talked to friend and myself like we are less than human on several instances. As someone who has been climbing with high point 4 years now I want to warn newcomers if they are unfortunate enough to deal with Peter their first few times at highpoint to do their best to not let him get to you. This employee lacks all customer service skills and will talk to you like your pulled over on the side of the road getting a ticket. My friend who set their membership up with Peter received no orientation or information from the employee at all. Only to later be insulted by Peter telling him since he doesn't know anything at all he an go downtown and take his free class. The lack of respect this individual shows is astounding as he sits behind the counter with his feet up on the desk/ in the window sill. He will throw pens and paperwork at you while barking questions like a drill sergeant and if he doesn't like your answer he'll literally walk away from you while your talking to him. I am more than happy to speak with any member of management about all the details of the three instances I've had to tolerate this individuals behavior, newcomers just stay away he will turn you off to the entire location and ruin your day. I've been rethinking switching to amnicola location only ever since I noticed they shipped him over there to work away from the much more friendly and helpful crowd downtown. Very disappointed to see a grown man acting like this behind the counter at highpoint...

We really enjoyed our day at the riverside location (we normally go downtown, but it was just my husband and myself without our daughter) very clean, friendly staff as well as members. Several different routes of varying difficulty. Lots of bouldering avaliable as well as climbing with ropes. We are beginners, but definitely feel like there is something for everyone at all 3 locations!

The most amazing, quiet, hole in the wall climbing gym. Huge walls set close together for easy socializing. They have good compression/slabby routes but no boulders in that style.

Smaller high point gym but rarely gets busy compared to downtown. Great bouldering and lead/TR routes. Decent gym upstairs but not nearly as good as the downtown location if youβre looking to workout.
Not as much selection as downtown but better for a less crowded, faster climbing workout.

The staff, the gear, the equipment, and the facilities were all excellent. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. they went out of their way to make sure that my step daughter who has climbed before felt comfortable and even more so when it came to her friend who's never climbed before. by the end of the day my step daughter's friend felt very confident in his ability to climb. All of that is thanks to the staff. The routes on the walls were challenging and yet easy enough for those who have some climbing ability. They do have several routes that are set up for novice climbers, intermediate, and expert climbers. The facility was clean and kept in a top-notch state. If you happen to be traveling through Chattanooga, or visiting family like we were, I highly recommend you check this place out and get a climb in!

I love High Point! The Riverside location feels like it's geared more towards folks who climb for sport and less for tourists/families. The boulder problems seem more realistic in their setting and grade. The auto belays are generally harder grades there too. Overall an awesome experience and can't wait to see the expansion they're planning!

I had a very disappointing incident with Sam H. at High Point Riverside today.
A staff member at Downtown told me (by mistake) that my day pass was also valid for Riverside location, so I drove there.
Then Sam with no respect at all told me things like:
βThe pass doesnβt work like that so, if you want to climb $15 if not go back to downtown.
It wasnβt my mistake, and I donβt know you, I canβt trust you...β
I understand that the guy in downtown made a mistake, but for that guy not saying something like:
βSorry, I apologize for the misunderstanding, but the policy doesnβt transfer the day passes....
Sorry for the inconveniences but I canβt help you, you need to talk with my supervisor.....β
He didnβt show any customer focus, people care or any people skills.
It was awful !!!
Unbelievable that this place holds people like Sam

It was great when it was Urban Rocks. Now, like many have said, the culture is corporate instead of climbing oriented, and the cost is rediculous. I get that lots of tourists come to Chattanooga and enjoy the fake climbing feel at the downtown location for a day, but those of us that live here and climb regularly appreciated having Urban Rocks as a real climbing gymn. Not just a tourist trap. Now the routes aren't nearly as fun, and the customer service is terrible. I've frequently been looked past by employees at the front desk because someone behind me in line wanted a rediculously priced day pass, and I just needed to rent gear because I'm a member already.
