We absolutely adore Modern Play and the teachers there. They truly care about bonding with your kids and each class is unique and well planned out weekly. Both of my sons have attended Modern Play since they were 6 months old (now 3+ years old and 1+ year old) and they have grown in so many areas of their lives because of it. My boys were both born with clubbed feet (as well as many of our other family members) and their gymnastics classes have helped straighten and strengthen their feet and legs in ways that our doctors are surprised. They are ahead in treatment and I largely credit it to Mrs. Morgan's classes. It has meant the world to us. Also my boys have grown in confidence, ability, agility, and skill. This will help their athleticism in future sports too. We love modern play and look forward to many more years to come!

My daughter absolutely loves her tumbling class here. Miss Stelmo is very sweet and great with all the Littles. My daughter has Autism and is nonverbal, so I was concerned in the beginning about how well she would tolerate the class. Although it's not overly structured and pretty flexible, there's still a little bit of a set routine, and my daughter prefers to do her own thing. She also doesn't follow instructions very well. Her teacher is very patient and understanding with her and tells me often how strong and skilled she is and hopes that we will continue to let her progress to more advanced classes. After almost a year in the program, my daughter continues to be excited about the class and actively participates in most of the routines with an energy that almost cripples me by the end. She has also learned many skills here that have her occupational and speech therapists thrilled. I'm so grateful we found this place and plan to keep bringing my daughter here for as long as possible!

We started the “Wild Things” class with our 16 month old (now 18 months) and are thrilled with the progress she has made in just two months

After only a few classes we noticed that our little one’s coordination and balance had improved. She is learning new skills every class and engages muscles I wouldn’t think to work on at home. Something I did not think about before signing up, but she is also learning patience and waiting your turn in line. An added bonus is that it also burns some energy (lol). Even if you don’t plan on your child becoming a “gymnast”, this class is spectacular for the reasons above!

Coach Stelmo is absolutely amazing with all the children, is extremely knowledgeable, and sets up an awesome class every week.

We are so impressed with Modern Play and highly recommend them for your toddlers.

One of the few places I could enroll my 2 and 4 year old for a class at the same time. It really helped them get used to their first dance/class experience and I didn't have to schedule multiple classes. The instructors are kind, fun, and knowledgeable. My kids took to them immediately. They told everyone for weeks about their tumble class.
You get a discount for multiple kids. They're great at communicating and accommodating missed classes. Today they did a ninja mini class and had an equally (if not more) fun time. Love the class variety and getting their wiggles out in a safe environment.

Initially this seemed like a friendly, good gym. My son was interested in gymnastics after the Olympics. Called and signed him up for the boy's ninja class. He enjoyed the class, but he was more interested in actual gymnastics which they did not offer (at least not for boys). When initially signing up they were quick to return several calls to me. I called to inquire about getting a little bit of the monthly fee back since we only took one class. No returned call. I called back multiple times and left at least two messages. I even sent an email, but no one returned any of this communication. We would have gladly continued the first month's classes that we had already paid for, but no one ever got back to me. They are happy to take your money, but have horrible customer service. We are much happier at our new gym.

We just had my 2 year olds birthday party here yesterday & WOW what a success!
The girls that were assigned to our party were so sweet & incredibly helpful. They helped us set up, keep the kids entertained, & did a full clean up & breakdown.
They had a full schedule to keep us on task & were excellent about communicating.
This place is PERFECT for a birthday party for your little. We had around 14 kids ranging in ages from 6 months to 13 years, and they all had a blast.
The adults hung out in the lobby area & while there wasn’t enough seating for the ~25 adults we had, most were keeping an eye on their kids & mingling so it was no issue. Plus, children’s parties are for children- so I was happy to see the tables were set up for kids 🥰

I’ve been told by nearly everyone in attendance that it was the perfect place for a kids birthday party. Great location, excellent entertainment for littles (& older kids!), & amazing staff with great attitudes.

We had my daughter’s 9th birthday party at Modern Play! Never have we had so much help with party set up. Raegan and Emma were a great team that did everything. Decorations (although we added the balloons, some table covers and some other table toppers for some pop), they set the food table up, already had the kids tables set up and all the plates, tablecloths, forks and knives already out upon arrival! Raegan and Emma gave direction to the kiddos and engaged with them in the gym room, played the floor is lava and a few other games. Then it was time for food , which Raegan and Emma served the kiddos. After happy birthdays and doughnuts, we had little more time left for free play in the gym. My kids did not want to leave! While my daughter was opening her presents in the lobby area, Raegan and Emma already had the party room cleaned up and ready for us to load up and head out! We are very pleased! Money well spent! And the best part, on our way home, my daughter said “I want to have my party there next year!”

We hosted my son's birthday party here over the weekend and I must say it was the absolute best experience I've ever had as a parent at a kids party. The girls working there set up all my decorations, organized the food and gifts. They entertained all the kids with games, served all the food/cupcakes to the guests, then packed up all the leftovers and tore down our decorations for us. They even loaded up everything back into our car for us! I can't begin to describe how helpful that is. The girls were so kind and sweet with everyone and did a wonderful job making my son's party the best time for everyone. It was fun for the kids and stress free for the adults! Modern Play Gym is by far the best place for children's birthday parties. We booked our son's 7th birthday party there and it was an absolutely seamless experience. Annie and Ava were SO helpful. They did it all! They helped us stay on schedule, did activities with the kids, handed out pizza and drinks to everyone, and even cut the cake for us! Meanwhile, we are able to enjoy every moment of our son's party and socialize with our guests. Our son says it was his "favorite party ever!" We will definitely be back for future parties.

We love Modern Play and it’s staff! I have been taking my daughter to Modern Play since she was about 8 months old. The environment is clean and welcoming. The teachers are great at engaging the kids and teaching them new skills that help them reach developmental milestones. We have had both Ms. Morgan and Ms. Lexie and we can’t say enough good things about them. You can tell they love what they do and that they put a lot thought into each activity they set up.
I love that the Wild Things class is a perfect combo of free play and structure. Perfect for those little toddlers who are learning listening skills. My daughters skills and confidence have increased greatly thanks to these classes and it’s been so fun to watch how far she has come.

Modern Play is great! We started going when my daughter was 15 months old and have continued going weekly for the past 9 months! Mrs. Morgan is such a wonderful teacher - kind, patient, enthusiastic!
I am always impressed with the creativity used for each class. Class is wonderfully divided into free time for kids to explore and structured stations to learn new skills. Everything is developmentally appropriate and, I believe, helps my child strengthen her coordination. My child really looks forward to gymnastics every week!

Do not recommend, don’t trust for your party needs! We had a 10am birthday party scheduled for my 4 year old granddaughter. We arrived at 9:30 so we could set up before guests arrived. No one from Modern Play arrived to open the gym!! After calling, messaging on Facebook and sending emails, they finally called us back around 11:00. Most of our guests had left by now and we had moved a few people to a local park to open gifts and eat cake. Modern Play was to provide everything as far as plates, cups, etc, so we had just made a Walmart run to buy everything. They offered to come open the gym if we wanted to return. We decided to take the few kids who were still with us back to the gym for some play time.

I think it could have been a great experience had someone been there to open on time. Totally unacceptable.

Oh my goodness how we love Modern Play!!! A little backstory….I called a MILLION places several times a month or two before my son’s first birthday. I left voicemails, sent emails, and visited places in person. I was SO excited to start planning his first party ever!!! But not ONE party place called or emailed me back. I just couldn’t get anyone on the phone and I was ready to book. I was shocked and sooooo disappointed. BUT then I discovered that Modern Play specializes in kids’ parties!!

After asking around on Facebook it turned out that several of my friends had had multiple parties there for their kids and loved it!!! I called in and they were INCREDIBLY KIND, gracious, and on top of it—such a difference from any of the other places I looked into. Lexi even let me see the space and talk to her about everything in person. We booked it and WOW was I impressed from the beginning!!

Lexi and McKlaine kindly and quickly answered all of my questions leading up to the party, and I must have asked a million of them to be honest. They even called and messaged me the week before the party to make sure everything was good to go.

The day of the party we had 15 mins to set up and I was so nervous about the time frame because I had sooo much stuff to put out. But McKlaine and Kate were SOOOOO HELPFUL in helping us set up all of the party decorations!!! Prior to us getting there they had already set up plates, napkins, table cloths, and tables which they provided. As soon as we got there they jumped right in and helped us unload our cars and set up banners, photo backdrops, balloons, centerpieces and more! They even grabbed an extra piece of furniture for a cake stand when we needed one. They made putting everything together a breeze which was such a relief!!!

The party itself went so smoothly. We had a huge range of kids—1 year olds all the way to pre-teens—and they kept them all entertained and happy in the gym while still focusing on games that my son could play and interact in. I was so thankful for that. My son had a blast and so did everyone else.

After the gym they helped so much with serving the food, keeping us on track for presents {they even wrote everything down for us!}, and clean up!!! They were so sweet and on top of everything!! They really anticipated what we needed to make the party easy and fun! My huge family drove 2+ hours to get to the party and they could not stop talking about how wonderful it was, and how much they loved McKlaine and Kate!!

If you’re looking for a place to have your kid’s party I most DEFINITELY recommend Modern Play!!!!

We came today for the baby play group and I was honestly blown away! With covid, we don't do much and this was the first time my sons really been around other babies and everyone was so kind! My 7 year old has been taking gymnastics classes at Modern Play for the last year with a wonderful experience. We tried out hosting my son's 4th Birthday Party just last week. Amazing experience as well. The party was so well organized, 2 members of the team helped set up the food/treats prior to guests arriving. Then, once most kids were there, they were interactive, keeping them all engaged and moving the entire play time portion. When we moved to the side room for food and cake, they took over helping pass out treats, cutting/passing out cake, and clean up. Made it a seamless day for us! I started going to the adult classes almost 2 years ago after having two babies and not working out since high school. I lost -30lbs but more importantly gained strength, confidence, and mental wellness after having ppd like most mamas. This place has been a saving grace and I highly recommend it. My kids love the huge gym area they get to play in while I workout in the room next to them. My 4 yr old daughter also takes ballet and gymnastics and loves it! Everyone here is so awesome! My 6 year old takes tumbling/cheer here as well as previously taken ballet and absolutely loves it. The instructors really put the kids to work and keep them moving the whole time, which is a huge difference compared to the other young gymnastics/tumbling classes we’ve been a part of in the past. They also use the proper names as well as push the importance of technique in skills. We drive from an hour away just to participate in these classes and it is totally worth it!!
