Brandon is why you’re getting 5 stars. So far all members of staff aren’t dazed off into space like most planet fitness clubs. They are attentive, respectful, awake, and nice. You’ve really lucked out as far as that’s concerned. But the showers are not good. A few months ago they were so bad I quit coming here. By chance I came here last week and a guy named Brandon had started. In the past, I’ve told people that the showers were gross and they said that they would pass that information on. Well after three times of complaining I quit. Good customers don’t complain, they just don’t come back. Brandon immediately asked me to show him which stall I was talking about exactly what was bothering me, and what he could do to help. That night he cleaned the showers while I was there to show me that he cared. Let me just tell you the only reason that I continue to come now is because of his willingness to ensure clean showers. But unfortunately, he can’t do it by himself, your other employees are going to have to step their game up. Being able to smell mold and hints of urine is not OK. I used to run a Gym that’s not acceptable. There’s no way he could do it by himself. It’s gonna have to be a collaborative effort. Using watered down Lysol products or fabulouso won’t work. You’re gonna need a strong outdoor bleach And or degreasing product like purple power. You’ve got someone going in there and using each shower stall on an average of every 5 to 10 minutes. I used to have to clean my showers three times a day every single day that’s how bad of bacteria you’re dealing with. If you can smell it, it’s beyond dirty. At this point you’re doing better than Chapman Highway, but that isn’t much to say. Everything else about your gym is pristine, but your showers need serious help. I have even offered to go in there in front of your staff and show them how to properly clean. Brandon has my phone number. I’m more than happy any day to come and clean the shower myself in front of all of them so they can see how to properly clean a shower because they obviously are struggling. Guys like Brandon don’t come along often. He’s hungry to be successful and you guys should take full advantage of that.

The gym is spacious and you can get a good workout in…. What is woefully lacking in a hygienic respect. Vacuum the gym.! All too often is two or three people sitting at the front desk. As friendly as they are… they need to do A LOT MORE CLEANING. there’s dust bunnies of people‘s hairs and skin cells all over the floor. Its gross. I seriously am scared to do push-ups on the floor because I’ve gotten dirt/hair in my eyes and breathe in all sorts of nasty dust. There’s no excuse for it. If it doesn’t get resolved, I will take photos and post them to this review later.

Every single review that mentions the issues with cleanliness in this gym, some of them even with pictures are left with the same canned response. “Please see our manager and we can address your cleanliness concerns. “. How about you just look at the posted pictures or look around the gym yourself and address the issues? Why do I or any other member need to speak to the manager to address an obvious issue? The answer is simple : open your eyes… look around …and clean where it looks like it needs to be cleaned.

I’m really disappointed in the cleanliness standards here. Nearly every visit I find visible sweat puddles left on the tanning beds that I have to clean before using them. It’s not just an occasional issue it’s very consistent. Proper sanitation should be a basic expectation especially in a place where multiple people are sharing the same equipment. A quick wipe-down after each use should be mandatory. Nobody wants to handle a strangers sweat.

I would love to give this situation a zero. They have over charged my minor son $20 a month. He uses Venmo which is a Mastercard. They claim they have problems with their billing company and they will “see what they can do.” My son went in to cancel today and was told they just can’t do that in the club - yet the website says to cancel go to the club. Then I had to pay $30 to cancel because they said the payment they were going to draft tomorrow was “late.” Doesn’t make sense. Mario also doesn’t like strong women with sense. He made that clear on the recorded line when I sternly spoke to him. From here to Chattanooga watch your bank accounts. Shady at its finest. I will sit and wait on my kid’s refund.

May'25 Update: Ample employees now exist, that seem diligent on managing the front desk. Still need more attention to keeping the bathroom soap dispensers filled, though paper towels and dosing spray in the club is readily available. Positive changes made, for certain.

Original: Facility is decent, but I've yet to see any employees cleaning anything on Saturday or Sunday morning. The front desk clerks seem to be preoccupied on the smartphones than helping anyone in any way. Do yourself a favor and go to either the Oak Ridge or Alcoa facility. Much better run with engaging employees who are always keeping themselves busy.

My name it Allen I was member there, I’ve spoken with the General Manager at Planet Fitness in Farragut many times regarding our refund. We canceled our membership last year, but we were still charged $25.56 for four months. So far, I’ve only received the first portion of the refund. The manager, Mario, told us it would be refunded in two portions.

I’ve called at least five times last week, almost every day, and every time we’re told, “Mario is not here, he’ll call you back.” This all started because an employee mistakenly told us the membership had been canceled when it hadn’t. As a result, I were charged for months we didn’t use the service.

I was waiting patiently I been contacted since about month ago and got first portion and waiting 4 days maybe another one come and make a phone call

Now, not only has Mario failed to follow up, but we are still waiting on the remaining $25.56. This mistake was caused by your staff, and we shouldn’t be held responsible for it. We’re requesting this issue be resolved as soon as possible and

For 10 bucks a month you cannot beat this place.

Large workout facility with tons of cardio equipment, some free weights, machine weights, a Synrgy 360 modular group training system with TRX, stretching, 12-minute abs and 30-minute workout stations.

This location maintains a clean facility and they offer a PF Black member upgrade with several additional perks.

The PF app is also very informative and useful for tracking activity, workouts and equipment usage.

It is normally not too crowded due to a wide variety of equipment, however, when they allow the me generation to work out free during summer break it can get a bit chaotic. Some members also like to leave equipment laying all over the place or do not re-rack their weights.

I like the locker room lay out and the showers at this gym. However, the shower water temperature would only get to slightly above cold. I found one shower in the back that would get hot water but there was no soap in the dispenser. I thought, "well, the staff seem pretty idle so I'm sure they'll refill the soap dispenser soon". Came back 3 days later still no soap refill. 5 days later still empty. 7 days later and I had had enough. I went to the front and kindly asked them to fill the dispenser. The staff was nice and I appreciate that however I never should have had to ask in the first place.

I have been a member here for several years, visiting numerous times a week. The gym is overall clean and the equipment is available. They recently started to improve their equipment with new and different machines.
Although the equipment is clean, the locker rooms need attention. These photos are from the women's changing room. This dust has been present for weeks. I asked the front desk to give attention to the dressing rooms and have yet to see a response.

For those that might think about joining this planet Fitness, here is my honest review. I am a certified personal trainer who owned my own gym successfully through COVID when big box gyms shut down. The ownership of this particular gym has hired young people who Everytime I come in (5x/per week) are doing next to nothing, sitting on the counter going through their phone. Recently, in the past week they had totally run out of paper towels that are used to clean the equipment when a member is done working on it. In a time when everyone wants sanitation, this is unexcusable, poor management of supplies. Most of the Hammer Strength machines have their grips coming off, at least the back machines I used today. The floor is always dirty with hair and dust and machines are always dusty. It took employees who don't do much that I notice 2 weeks to change the clocks for daylight savings. On my way out the door today I stopped at the desk and made a suggestion, I suggested that they should go to home Depot or harbor freight and purchase shop rags, have an employee hand them to members when they check in and tell them to use it to clean equipment when they're done using it. When they leave they can throw the rags in a bin at front desk, this would be a quick fix until they get more paper towels. They then can wash those rags and have them in case they are in this situation again. What do you think the response was from the guy behind the desk...he looked at me and said "right", that was it, he could care less. So, I never like to leave negative reviews, but especially in these times, if you don't have product to clean the equipment, then close the gym.

Gym is very dirty. Bathrooms haven’t been cleaned for weeks even after I brought it to an employee’s attention. Same fecal matter on toilet as well as same toilet paper on the ground in the stalls. Same toilet has been broke for weeks and still not repaired. Tanning beds are half lit because they don’t replace bulbs or fix facial lamps. Employees stand around talking and need to be cleaning and making sure there are paper towels in dispensers as they’re often empty.

Twice I've used the tanning beds. First time I went in . No garbage cans to throw paper towels away. They were scattered on the floor. I had to kick them out of the way. Nasty. 2nd time I went in they had taking spray bottles and towels out..... AGAIN. I walked in there and found AGAIN paper towels on the floor. I had to go out and get a spray bottle and towel. Because that proved to me that staff didn't clean it or paper towels wouldn't have been scattered on floor. I enjoy the equipment. But Management isn't on top of things, there should be no reason to have dirty tanning beds.

My wife and I have been members for a few months and use the Farragut location exclusively. The facility is well equipped and the equipment is in good shape. There are well supplied cleaning stations which the patrons are encouraged to use to wipe down the machines after each use so it is surprising that there is always human hair and service animal hair around the perimeter of the facility where a person would place a mat to do floor exercises. The staff say they vacuum but it needs to be done more often and more thoroughly.

I love going to Planet Fitness. The place is super clean, they have great machines and the staff is super friendly. I love that I can get a massage at their massage chairs after exercising.

PF around in Knoxville is great unfortunately I go to Carolina PR and the place is disgusting overrun with lack of equipment and truly a nightmare. 99% of the places in the US are very adequate and uplifting. Carolina,PR is horrible but I’m stuck going there since I’ve been there after year.

Planet fitness is ok if you work out at random times like the middle of the night or during the day (before lunch) but if you have any kind of normal schedule find a different gym! The staff is not very helpful or knowledgeable, they don’t have any trainers, and there is consistently a wait to use the machines! If you go to the gym to stand around and wait on people me to finish their workout then you’ve found your place!!!
