Planet Fitness in Franklin is a great gym overall. The staff are always friendly, easy-going, and willing to help with anything you need. There’s a wide selection of machines and workout options for all fitness levels, which makes it easy to switch up your routine.

The space and layout can feel a little cramped during busy hours, but it’s still well-organized and kept clean. What really sets this location apart is the friendlyness of the staff and extra amenities, the variety of massage chairs, tanning booths, and red light therapy options are amazing and make post-workout recovery super relaxing.

Definitely one of the better Planet Fitness locations I’ve been to.

For the women in the Franklin area, This location has a very small locker room. There's 2 outlets in there, 1 is completely broken. So the only outlet available is by a trashcan. Also the showers itself are big but the water goes from ice cold to warm, back to freezing cold. I've spoke to multiple workers at . this location. And their response is always the same, "yeah, what do you want me to do about it ?". Basically saying there's nothing they can do. Well here's an idea.. PUT A SIGN ON THE WOMEN'S SHOWERS SAYING THEY DO NOT WORK. SO WOMEN DO NOT GET ALL THE WAY UNDRESSED, BAG IN LOCKER, ALL FOR AN ICE SHOWER. THAT WOULD HELP A LITTLE BIT. Also the bathroom stalls aren't the cleanest. The hooks that are supposed to hold your jacket/ belongings in the bathroom stalls are broken, so you have to hold it while you use it. The gym set up, feels cramped. It's such a narrow gym. I live in and work in the area so it really is disappointing, that I have to drive so far to Nashville just for a decent gym. WOMEN DO NOT COME TO THE FRANKLIN LOCATION.

Update: I have talked to the manager. She said she can't do anything about my concerns. Check your reviews. 4 months ago, females were complaining about the water. 4 months ago people were saying it's moldy and dirty. When is this neglected gym going to be fixed? Is it ever ?

This place is horrible. Ac always too hot you can’t service without heat stroke. To add insult to injury, they even have the fans above very slow. They can’t even get that right. The water fountains for years have been pushing out hot water. They never fixed it..
It’s always crowded because there’s no other planet fitness in the area and this one is half the size on top of that so it’s unbelievably crowded. I heard it was 1500 people a day come here from somebody who worked there. I’m transferring my membership out of this place I’d rather travel far away than come here

What a clean, accessible place to start my workout journey. The staff was super nice and helpful, and even talked me through getting my guest pass working for bringing in my brother. The airflow was great, the gym didn't smell, and everyone just did there thing without nasty glances. Really happy with it.

Great place to workout! I was in Franklin TN taking care of my brother for a couple weeks, I'm a member of planet fitness where I live so I went to Franklin planet fitness to workout while I was there. This place is absolutely TRASH when it comes to billing and incompetent management and employees. Every time I have signed up I have gotten hidden fees and or gibberish excuses after being told one thing then them pulling my account for another which I believe NOW is intended to get extra money from customers. I came In recently and signed back up for membership after canceling for mishandled account issues previously. This time the gentleman tells me while signing up to update my account info etc. I DO. I UPDATED MY BILLING WITH MY NEW ACCOUNT INFO ROUTING AND ACCOUNT NUMBER EVERYTHING. I check the app and now it’s a fee for them trying to PULL FROM AN ACCOUNT THAT THE EMPLOYEE WAS SUPPOSED TO HAD DELETED AND PUT IN MY NEW INFO. So extra fees yet again after going through this rodeo for a year straight before. Here’s the kicker. When you call to speak with someone all of a sudden no one knows who you are talking about and takes accountability. Save yourself and your bank from intentionally doing business with PF. This truly is not worth the stress or scams by billing. I have 3 co workers who have gone through the same or similar situation with THIS PARTICULAR PF. Bring back integrity and honesty and ACCOUNTABILITY as a business model.

This is my usual location, and while I usually don’t have issues when checking in, today the man behind the counter took it upon himself to mansplain how to “actually pronounce my name” because “he’s pretty sure it’s actually -zoh- not -zoh-ee-“ and he’s “pretty sure he knows a guy named zoe” and continued to go on about it well after I had let it go, literally until I went back into the black card lounge. This is also the first time I brought my family here ( visiting for Mother’s day Weekend ) and it was incredibly embarrassing to be harassed at the literal GREETING COUNTER.

How this place has more than 3 stars is bizarre to me. I’ve seen some dirty planet fitnesses but by far this one is the most unkempt. There are clumps of dust everywhere especially between cardio machines. Someone threw down a mat near me in the stretching area and a ploom of dust (human skin cells, hair & dirt) powdered my face. For a town such a Franklin that is chock full of rich people, you’d think a planet fitness here would be in better shape.

This place is dirty don’t believe me look at the stair masters when you walk in they are always filthy whenever I come they are never cleaned. The water fountain hasnt worked for years always give warm water. It always craxy busy only because planet fitness serves 4 towns it’s insane they need more facilities in the area. There are no planet fitness in Thompson station or Springhill or Brentwood it’s just ridiculous. The growth of the area just has not kept up they could build 2 more centers and still. I’m pretty much done at this point I decided to buy my own equipment online it’s cheap enough to have a gym in my garage and not be so miserable at this dirty over crowded place.

This is the WORST SERVICE I have ever experience... I was told 4 MONTHS ago to go on line and cancel my account so I did and as I was looking at my banking I have been charged the last 4 months... I went in TODAY for the second time to cancel the membership and I had called to COMFIM that my account was closed, the guest service person Jacob was amazing... But this is where I so MAD about the service I called 4 time asking to speak to the manager and one time he was with someone I tried calling back 3 more times between 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM and he was unable to take my call... It's not the best planet fitness I've ever been to, but it's still really good. I'm waiting to see what new equipment they will get because I believe getting more hammer strength or matrix mashines will be greatly beneficial for people who are still relatively new but want to take the next step and more experienced lifters. Overall, the environment is very nice and the staff are friendly. I wish there were trainers (like some other pfs have) because they tend to help new people want to come back to improve themselves. However, the lack of trainers isn't a major issue due to most regulars I've talked to being more than happy to help out.

At the end of the day, if you're thinking of building a better you, this location is one of the best cost reward places you can go. Just keep up the good work and don't give up. You've got this!!

Once again I say nice place to work out. I forgot my expensive headphones in the lockers and I was so sad because I thought there were gone forever. But there still have honest people around. Somebody found them and there were in the lost and found in the front counter. A staff member called Jaiden was very helpful checking and looking in the different doors and boxes and the magic happened and he said Merry Chistmas and gave them back to me. I was lucky this time. In town for a couple concerts and happened to be at a hotel nearby so I could get my workouts in easily. This location has great equipment (better than my home club) and very well maintained with plenty of weights and machines. A little small on space but it’s very well utilized. I called this location to see what would be a good plan for my husband and I. A plan where we could go separately if we wanted to. I explained this to the person on the phone. The guy on the phone told me the PF black plan would be perfect and we could go separately. I signed up and then realized we would have to go together or else he wouldn’t be able to get in. I called him back and asked why this would be? I heard him ask the manager and they stated there is no plan that we could go separately. I then proceeded to say the only reason we signed up was because he confirmed we could go separately. He then hung up the phone. My husband called, the man answered and he asked to speak to the manager. He put him on hold for 20 min and then hung up. We tried to call again and were hung up on 2 more times. We drove down there to talk to the manager in person and Donna was at the front desk. We started to explain what happened and she cut us off and said what do you want me to do about it? My husband started explaining it again and she said the same thing. So we asked for a refund. This is so unprofessional and rude. Absolutely horrible service and staff.

I ONLY ever come here to tan (planet fitness) and normally go to the one in West Nashville that is AMAZING! Now, Franklin, HORRIBLE! I went in 2 different stand up beds and questioned if they even came on after asking what beds had new bulbs, I was assured they all got changed at the same time… It’s the end of May and I was freezing cold in there with it on. I’ll never go back to Franklin and I live within walking distance of it. What a waste of time and money.

I spoke to the manager today to get clarity on the policy of allowing biological males in the women's locker room. He said I would have to shave my beard and I would need to wear a skirt or present as a woman, but I would be able to use the women's locker room with the support of the management. I cancelled my membership after 7 years. I'm all for celebrating diversity, but not at the expense of my 12 year old daughter having to see nude male in the women's locker room. The manager was quite irritated and intolerant of my choice and said he was happy that I was leaving.

One of the employees closed my account at PF because I didn’t put back a protein shake the way she wanted. Then she had an attitude with me because I was upset. The dudes that run the gym are cool but this lady is a disgrace to the company and shouldn’t work at this gym. All because a shake was put in the wrong place. I told my friends to cancel their membership as well and we are going to a different gym where they respect the people.
