I frequent many PF’s around the surrounding areas.But,I consider this PF as my home gym ..So its important that everything is working and well maintained.I appreciate Ken and the others working the 3rd shift.There’s never any problems with the machines or anyone acting unruly.I would tell my own daughter that it’s safe to work out there ,especially on the 3rd shift.I know the 3rd shift can be tough one ..But,these guys really should be rewarded for doing such a great job !

As an example
The treadmills have an interval program in them. They use levels, but those levels don't tell you the speed or the time.
There's no way to program the interval length, there is no visual for how long the intervals are, just a count down starting at 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and the treadmill doesn't even remember the speed you were going, so if you selected the wrong level at the start or are looking for run/walk intervals vs run/jog - you might as well restart the treadmill.
The intervals are 2 minutes easy, 30 seconds hard. Or something close to that, I was more focused on the run part. And with such a long cool down and short run time, I tried for 3.5/12 and it spent 22 seconds getting up to speed and 30 seconds dropping back down to 1.5.

But signing up to use the cardio equipment only to be met with this makes the situation a total waste on even having management reach out. Like there's no fix for this

This specific problem isnt an issue to this planet fitness as it's branded equipment.

Writing this as I stand here and wait for someone to finish playing on their phone while occupying the only stall in the men’s restroom. Here’s a good idea, either build a second stall, or maybe put a timer on the bathroom so grown men will quit sitting there with their pants around their ankles making other men awkwardly wait around for their turn to actually use the restroom for its intended purpose.

I have visited 3 planet fitness gyms. My home gym in the Nashville area was obliviously in need of an upgrade. It reasontly changed ownership and now it has mostly all new equipment. It was big surprise when I stopped in after 3 months away. It sported all the new equipment that I enjoyed in the Chicago area. I am happy that my home gym still has a locker room in the private area adjacent to the showers/restrooms. It is different in newer gyms which require much more front end assistance. Lockers are public and highly secured and the message area is more high tech as is the rest of the gym.

This is just a public health caution for anybody who uses this facility. For the last six weeks or more, there has been a major gas leak that gets much worse when the Mexican restaurant next-door fires up their stoves for dinner. It’s so bad in the foyer that unless you open the door, it will burn your eyes. Nobody needs to be working out and breathing natural gas. I have reported it several times to the front desk and they always say it’s the Mexican restaurant next-door. It doesn’t matter where it’s coming from if it’s in your facility, you oughta call the authorities and have them get to the bottom of it. Just standing around and letting everyone come in and work out and breathe that is Unacceptable.

Purchased a membership from the website linked to the location. Went in and was told I hold no membership. Showed where all fees were taken out of bank. Nothing they could do. A few stars for good location, no stars for their ancient, breaking equipment. I use the elliptical all the time and PF had 20. A few months ago they removed all 20 and replaced them with 4 different ones, two of which are faulty and regularly out of order. Suffice to say, with only two working ellipticals, they are always taken. Wish there were another gym close by.

I’ve used Planet Fitness around the country for a few years. I also keep a membership at the YMCA so I actually don’t use Planet Fitness that often but I always pay the membership because it’s handy when I need it. When I moved my membership from downtown Memphis to Goodlettsville, I gave him my new bank card and asked them to delete the old card. They keep charging the old card. It’s cost me two overdrafts $35 each time. I’ve asked then numerous times to simply delete the old card and they’ve never done it. Four different times I’ve gone in and asked and they still have my old phone number which is a year old. They have an old obsolete computer system, and it doesn’t update properly is apparently what’s going on. It’s so difficult to trust these people with my bankcard. I really feel uneasy. I will update this if they decide to have some integrity and refund my overdraft fees.

they have cut the time on the hydro beds to 7 minutes even though there is never a wait. they give only one coin at a time for the massage chairs, so it has been cut to 5 minutes. just plain ole dumb ideas. the one in Hendersonville is way way better. read the owners comments below. if you want to see a rich man just wanting your money for the bare minimum, here it is.

I decided to go back by the goodlettsville location. While in the locker room, a female worker decided to go to the supply closet. The closet is in the men locker room. I had just changed one man was changing and at least one in the shower room. There was no announcement of her coming in. I asked her why she did not announce herself. She said it was no big deal. I told her it was, and there was an expiration of privacy in a locker room. Lower my score to one star. This place survives because there is no other gym in the area. Go to any outside Davidson County but none inside.

PF has no staff cleaning tanning beds. This is a task you have to do yourself before and after you use a bed. After unrobing and applying Lotion, I often have to get dressed and remind them to turn my bed on. It's very frustrating having to undress, dress, remind them what their job is, and undress again just to tan. Customer service is a big issue here!

I am from Central kentucky, but I travel back and forth to Memphis twice a week. So I have pretty much visited every planet fitness between Central Kentucky and Memphis. But when I discovered this one, it became my favorite. Always very clean. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. But I have not taken time to leave a review until today. What prompted this review was a gentleman working at this location that went so far above and beyond to be thorough and professional. After this gentleman named Joshua had explained himself multiple times to a loud obnoxious female, she became even more rude, obnoxious, and loud. She was definitely trying to draw attention to herself. No matter what she did or what she said, he smiled and continued to be professional. Even telling her that he hoped she had a wonderful day as she was screaming foul language at him walking out the door and giving unfriendly hand gestures through the windows. Joshua is definitely the employee that every business wants at their front counter. If our tire shop was closer, I would try my best to steal him from the planet fitness. An employee like him is worth their weight in gold.

Have been a member at this gym for about 6 years and love the small gym and the staff that know your name and your not just a number, would had been 5 stars to that point. In the last month or so, they have started bringing in a lot of corporate managers, and the whole feel has changed. They sent out an email that instead of being 24 hours they are now changing to "part time", most importantly not opening till 7 on weekends....5 or 6 I could maybe understand but 7 is ridiculous. Any reason not to ask people that visit often instead of just doing it? Of course less hours does not mean less cost either even though the contract was for a 24 hour facility.....or when persons have to drive 15 miles out of their way to visit another gym that is open 24 hours. Incredibly dumb decision by the bean counters, trust me I am not the only one that feels this way.

Every time I call I get a voicemail, and when I finally got in touch with someone today I was informed I had to come in person to cancel… I live in Texas now. I visited the goodlettsville location on 4/19 and scanned my phone like normal although this time I was stopped by a gentleman who worked the front who had a black shirt on but I didn't see a name tag bc I would add his name but he was a older white male with a bald head. He asked that I take a photo which I ask why since I haven't taken one before and he said for id purposes bc he didn't know if I used someone else's phone to check in and if I didn't take a photo he would need to see ID. I felt very disrespected him even saying that first off bc why would I use someone phone to workout at planet fitness smh! Anyways as I'm telling him I'm not taking a picture a lady walks in and scans her phone and I see the screen says no photo as well and she continues walking by. I ask him why did he not ask her for the same information and he said well she's supposed to but he never calls out to her as he did me and I said yea I bet and then he proceeds to say nvm go ahead. This was very rude and unprofessional. This was my first time at this location as I'm a black card member, but I felt uncomfortable in the first two mins there with this interaction and made my workout not last as long as it normally would. As a African American man, I've dealt with slick undertones all my life and this was definitely one so I'm not sure I'll be back at this location again or I'd probably have a few choice words for this gentleman.

Love The Goodlettsville planet fitness! I’ve never had a problem with any of the employees as a matter of fact I can honestly say that they have all been pleasant! Great environment! And it is true what they say about no judgment… That is definitely not allowed there! You feel comfortable and at home. The total body enhancement is an extra and can be found nowhere else! Tanning beds are great as well and the equipment is perfect! Love this place I recommend to everyone and the price is great as well. You can’t find this kind of price for what you get anywhere else! After undergoing a surgery I had a year of physical therapy eventually the insurance ran out and there wasn't much more they could do for me. The staff get 4 stars, but the facility gets 1 star. Lady working front desk tonight was very pleasant, however there were two other people behind the counter not in any PF uniform so I don’t know if she was being held up or what. The equipment is extremely old and it seems like their goal was to fit as many cardio machines into as small as space as possible. The hot water is turned off at the sinks (I checked) and one of them didn’t even work. The tanning bed I used is from the 90s and the screen is almost completely faded from decades of use.

Planet Fitness Goodlettsville has become my 2nd home. While the close proximity to my apartment is the ultimate factor that keeps me coming back, I also love the staff. I want to give a special shoutout to Keendy who always shines so much light everytime I walk in. I get to the gym everyday at 3:30. There’s one worker who’s usually there when I get there but when I finish my work out and am ready to tan hes NO WHERE to be found! Multiple people waiting at the counter and regulars joking about good luck finding that mother trucker. Good gym, good staff, but there's a few poorly behaved clients that go to the gym and have caused problems for me. I'd go somewhere else if I could.
