Also when we came first time to see the gym the guys looked numb and we asked for a tour and they were looking at us and one of them said no, he can’t show, I didn’t understand that, If I wanna sign up I wanna see the gym.

I have been very disappointed in this gym of late. The remodel (which seems like a waste of money) took a long time for the amount of work that was done. Management was not good about posting the dare that the gym would reopen. When I left a message on the website about the lack of communication, the manager called me and lit into me about how I was wrong and they had posted an updated closing date on the door. I had visited the gym the day before, and she was not telling the truth. She did not even ask me about my concerns, just started in on me the minute I answered the phone.

After this, I contacted the corporate office to "escalate" my complaint. I was told someone would return my call in 3 to 5 business days. It's been almost a month, and no one has called.

After the "remodel," some of the more used machines that there were two of, are now down to just one. Good luck if you want to use them. Members sir on them and death scroll on their phones, or groups of teenagers monopolize them for 30 minutes. The staff never intervenes.

If your goal is to have the most depressing dimly lit locker rooms around, then mission accomplished. Lighting similar to a dank basement apartment; little to no airflow; shower area/toilets usually messy or out of supplies (toilet paper), despite some guy vacuuming the hard rubber floor (for what) every hour. Also an epidemic of high school kids posing in front of mirrors and filming themselves (I've politely pointed out to them the "no photos/filming" policy......on a sign right next to the mirror !!!
For comparison, take a walk through the locker room of Planet Fitness on Lebanon Rd in Hermitage......you'll realize how depressing Mt Juliet facility is.

Shocked at the supposed remodel. Can’t believe how many machines they got rid of that people used. All this big open space that makes no sense. Thank goodness when Hermitage and Lebanon remodeled they had the good sense to not reduce the amount of machines their members use.

What’s the point of signing a liability waiver if you’re going to be told you can’t workout there mid workout because you’re wearing your footwear of choice that you always workout in? Take into account I was nowhere near weights. I was on a rower machine when I was politely asked if I had closed toed shoes in my car, otherwise, I can’t workout there.

Not the manager or workers fault. Planet Fitness’ rules. But if I’m claiming liability while I’m there, what’s the problem?

Although I’ll give them 5 stars for pretty much everything, the showers are my only complain. The water runs so badly. Unfortunately I have to go straight from work to the gym so I need to use the showers everyday and it’s never a good time. They should take a look at the Lebanon location and learn something. Again, everything else is amazing.

I’ve been to the Planet Fitness in Mt. Juliet a few times now, and overall it’s a solid gym. The equipment is in good working condition and there’s a wide enough variety for a typical workout. The staff has been courteous and professional each time—nothing over the top, but no complaints either.

It can get a little busy during peak hours, but the crowd is generally respectful and easygoing, which makes for a good workout environment. The location is convenient with plenty of parking, which is a plus.

All in all, it’s a dependable, no-frills gym that gets the job done. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it if you’re looking for a basic fitness option in the area.

People are getting kicked out because of “sandals” when they don’t crack down on stringers or others break dress code. Got kicked out for having clogs on which is a closed toe shoe so technically nothing against the rules i take responsibility but the fact they walked past 3 people in stringers/breaking dress code to come kick me out it ridiculous😂

I love this planet fitness. Very clean and accommodating. My favorite is the group training that is offered with membership. Mr. Robert is doing a fabulous job. Other trainers have been good, but didn’t check participants form and left us to our own devices. Mr. Robert always checks our form and breathing making sure we are optimizing each exercise. He cares about what he does. Also the benefit of using the massage chairs after the workouts is great.

This location motivated me of (10 years going to the gym 2x a week) to find a different gym. I was hopeful at first, but just got sick of it. I would come at slow times either 10-11am or 1-3pm and it will be packed. Makes no sense. Not only that, but the people loitering on the machines is CRAZY. You will wait upwards of 20 minutes for someone to get done with their social hour. It's a waste of my time. Not only that, but the smell inside was bad, like really bad. Especially in the locker rooms. The last thing that made me switch was the parking lot. There were numerous times I would walk out and almost get hit by a car speeding through the lot. FYI this is a big hang out spot for kids. Do yourself a favor if you value your time and go to AF.

I recently moved to mt Juliet and signed up for planet fitness. I had never used their gym so had no idea you couldn’t take your bag on the floor(never an issue at another gym) the guy at the front desk can’t take his ear buds out long enough to answer questions or communicate. I was trying to ask a few questions about my black card membership it all I was getting was “huh and what” to the point I just tanned and left. The hermitage location is definitely better than mt Juliet. Their employees are helpful and care

I'm a new member to Planet Fitness. I've never tried any of their gyms. In my past I've used 24 hr fitness and worked there as well.
I haven't really tried out the gym in its entirety. Not even close. I came here because they offer tanning, hydro massage, chair massage and red light therapy. All of those perks come with the black card membership, plus full access to all of what the gym offers.. You also get personal trainer options with that membership.
In my opinion you actually get a ton especially for what you pay. Like I've said I've used other gyms in the past,listed one of them above. The cost was insane and it seemed to go up often. Planet Fitness costs were low even when adding in the yearly membership fee of $49 bucks. Overall you can't beat the price.
I'm new like I said. So I haven't really had a chance to use the gym, once I do I'll be able to accurately review it in it's entirety. But so far so good and I'm moving soon and they seem to have these gyms everywhere, I've already looked into it. Which reminds me... The sign up was extremely easy, extremely simple and when moving locations all I have to do is notify my home gym location so they can switch my home gym to my new location on their end. I won't even have to mess with that aspect which makes the move even easier...
Lastly, the gym employees, especially the guys who were working when I signed up, were exceptionally good. Great customer service. They answered ALL of my many questions, we're extremely informative and helpful. Great customer service. It's refreshing to see employees who seem to actually like their jobs, know their jobs and who go out of their way to give such awesome customer service. Nowadays that's a rarity..

The same group of teenagers working the front desk most definitely need some hospitality training. I’ve walked in, scanned my membership barcode, and stood waiting to be acknowledged for <5 mins plenty of times, as they’re too busy gossiping or on their phones. It’s sad as I truly love the accessibility of this gym/the location, but I’ve NEVER felt welcomed here. Specifically the younger girls, have horrible attitudes. I think sometimes perhaps they forget they’re clocked in at work, getting payed to help people maybe…? Anywho, I dread going here but it’s the closest location to me and I muster up the courage to face a few weak dispositions each day.

Not a bad gym but had a negative experience with stand up tan today. And a bizarre interaction with the young man behind the counter. He seemed out of his senses. Finished out someone else's time on one unit (30 sec total and it never reset), got dressed and requested, again , 7 min please. Went to another unit and it stopped working after 3 minutes? I can't spend all day playing dress up. Tighten up PF. Also, isn't calling someone a lunk passing judgment? Yall get the alarm today. Js, maybe be less cheeky and handle business.

I started back at this gym after 170 day break. I was treated disrespectfully on numerous occasions and because of this took a 6 month break from the gym. Started back two days ago and everything seemed ok at first except the tanning bed cuts off at 90 seconds two days in a row. I think well maybe the people are new or I made a mistake , maybe the full time on a standup is 90 seconds ! Except I owned two tanning salons and know that’s not right but hey I’m naked and got lotion all over me haven’t even got in the bed yet , 2nd day in a row so I decide to video my next two interactions to make sure I’m not losing my mind! Holy geez I wish I could post these videos so everyone can could see how little these people working care about their customers. I suppose I’m going to try one of these other places but sadly planet is closest to our house and open when I’m available…

Mt. Juliet Planet Fitness is the cleanest and nicest Planet Fitness center that I've been to, I've been to a lot of planet fitness's all over Tennessee and in Florida and I will generally tell the other planet fitness's in the area to find out what Mt. Juliet is doing, they are superior to all the others in cleanliness. Tiffany's leadership as a manager and her staff like Eric who is always in the bathroom cleaning as the others are cleaning the floors and equipment I Believe that's what sets this planet fitness apart from the others.

Just moved from Florida and decided to give Planet Fitness a shot last week. But today, they dropped the bomb that I couldn't bring my bag onto the workout floor. Seriously? I need my gear handy, and running back to the lockers every time is a hassle I can't afford. What's worse, the place is practically empty when I'm there. And when I tried to cancel, the person didn't seem to care at all – it was like 'you don't like it, bye'. What a horrible experience! They have no clue what being busy means. I have been a member for years and just recently have decided to cancel my membership for good. Planet fitness was double charging me for 3 different months and when I found out about it they told me I was delinquent. I was approached by 2 very young ladies whom embarrassed me in front of many people at front desk, and told me I was not allowed in the facility if I was delinquent. Come to find out I was never delinquent, they had charged an old debit card that I had lost, and it of course never processed. My bank account showed every payment for every month on time. Management refuses to address their front staff unprofessionalism, so u am taking my business elsewhere. To say the least, Planet Fitness has borderline fraudulent behaviors with their software, so everyone be aware that they will keep charging a card even if it is no longer in your possession. Visa is the only card company that allows them to do this because you have a subscription. It is fraud. Planet Fitness has also been reported by many to the BBB for this. Take my advise and please spare yourself the headache, and find another gym.

This gym has been charging me for a membership that I never opened for over a year now. I have contacted the gym on several different occasions to get them to STOP taking money out of my account, and every time I call them I get the run around and they tell me the manager is busy or out and she will call me back, I’m still waiting a year later for that call. They have stolen over $700 dollars from me and I have never stepped foot in that gym!!!! I am beyond upset and finally going to seek legal counsel to help me get my money back!!!

I have been to several planet fitnesses in my day this is by far the best gym ever the staff is very professional and will go out of there way to accommodate your experience the manager Tiffany is outstanding and also Aubrey the whole staff I feel so much better every time I go here not just from my work out but from the whole experience this is an awesome team of staff ps always super clean thank u for such a good gym
