Planet Fitness has been my gym for over a year now, and I couldn't be happier. The cost for the Black Card is very reasonable and allows you to use any PFs in the country. This feature alone is perfect for those who travel and still want to get to the gym. The other perks, hydromassages and tanning, are also apart of the Black Card and make the low cost even better. Wide range of exercise equipment to suit gym goers of all ages and experience levels. They also offer personal training to their members as well.

The gym itself is okay, and staff is great for the most part, aside from this specific employee (I believe her name is Aaliyah, but she fails to wear a name tag) who thinks it’s okay to literally sit on and make out with members while on shift, along with being blatantly rude to other members who take notice. Not sure what she’s there for aside from displaying inappropriate behavior and sitting on her phone. This is a regular occurrence

This location has plenty of machines for you to get your workout on! It can be a pro, but it can feel like a con with how cramped/close you will be with others. The morning staff (David and Raven) are super nice and helpful, and the spa area is nice and relaxing with more availability than some locations I've been to! But, some equipment through the entire facility is a little older than others. Still, overall, it's a good location to knock out a good workout with some relaxation mixed in!!

I never had a problem with any planet fitness like this one. I been a member for a while u started in Michigan came to Tennessee for this planet fitness to treat me unfairly I try to take care of a payment early because I knew I wasn't going to have the funds, was told I would be good not to worry about it WRONG I go to family's for a graduation, I try to go tanning and was told I couldn't because of the payment. Was told to talk to the manger to take off late fees mind u this manger never ever went out of her way to even help me from the beginning very unprofessional and she keeps blocking people from going there and don't bother telling her in touch with higher up. In my opinion they don't care about the people. I want my block taken off didn't do anything to deserve being treated like I don't matter

Good place to workout, but dont make plans for a nice hot shower. Showers have no water pressure and after 10 minutes of letting the water run its still cold. Told the young man at the front desk about this issue lets see if it get to managment.

Everyone is really sweet and respectful, the equipment and bathrooms are clean. But what irks me to high heavens are their hours of operation. Despite Planet Fitness advertising as a 24 hour gym, there are only three nights a week they are open 24 hours! On Saturdays and Sundays, they literally close at 9pm! It’s really frustrating when what seems like all the other Planet Fitness chains are open 24 hours but my gym close to home isn’t.

Okay well planet fitness was on a good run till here. First off I came today May 4th at 7:50. The employees weren’t really attentive or helpful, kinda just all over the place. Guy with the man bun is a prick, sorry not sorry. Literally walked out the gym after that, unfortunately this is the only location open till 9 on weekends but I’ll get a day pass somewhere else for tonight. Gym seemed clean and well maintained but geez the employees really are not what you want when coming in. I’d suggest going to western ave.

The exercise equipment is clean, and members wipe down the equipment before and after use. The showers have low water pressure and often empty liquid soap containers. The front desk staff are a mixed bag. Three of them were making fun of one or more members' appearances, and that negates the "judgment free zone" advertising and marketing gimmick for the Planet Fitness brand. A fitness center is only as good as the people hired to maintain it. Ineffective managers simply told them to stop. If PF took its "judgement free zone" marketing claim seriously, those staff members would have had their hours cut or been fired. PF doubled the annual membership fee without any improvement in the club. The Oak Ridge club does not even repair its water fountain to provide chilled water: fill up your water bottle (especially bad in the summer) with luke warm water. The Oak Ridge club has 2,000+ members and $24,000+ monthly membership payments. For that much revenue, the club should be able to hire better managers/staff, pay outside locker room cleaners, refrigerate the water fountain, etc.

Cleanest planet fitness I’ve ever been to.
The staff is always super nice, and they actually the gym & keep up on everything. Equipment is newer & great. They have all the bands, kettle bells, medicine balls, etc.
It’s a great layout & also great bathrooms / shower areas.
I’ve lived in different states and travel a lot for work, and this is by far the best one I’ve been to.

Hi, I would like to state I am giving the gym two stars because I had no issues prior to the incident I am about to explain.

I was contacted by my aunt (owner of my car) saying that I was in a hit and run at this planet fitness. She had been contacted by the Oak Ridge Police Department saying that I was 100% guilty of hitting THE EMPLOYEES CAR and that if I would just send my insurance card over they wouldn't press charges. I had no damage to my car whatsoever and was wrongly accused of a FELONY CRIME by an employee. Later to find out, the employee pulled my information out of the customer base instead of having the police investigate it. (this is according to the cop that I was in contact with.) My privacy was extremely violated and I no longer feel safe when employees are allowed to pull my personal information and falsely accuse me of crimes. I am 18 years old and have been at this gym for only five weeks but I have come in for six days a week every week since I got my membership. I even came in the day after I had supposedly hit his car (without knowledge that anything had transpired) and no one said anything to me whatsoever. I am deeply troubled by the way the situation was handled and I would not recommend anyone go to this gym if you want your privacy to be protected properly.

ALSO- the footage of my car supposedly hitting his was not solid proof of anything obviously, but the angle of the footage wouldn't have even showed my car making contact with his even if I had hit it. I was guilty until proven innocent.

The atmosphere is great, I've only had good experiences while working out... The only bad thing is the cleanliness in the locker rooms, I've worked out there for 6 months now and I don't think they have scrubbed the showers or changing rooms yet! The walls and floor in the showers are gross, one would think they could be cleaned once a shift but the workers just hang out at the desk playing in their phones.

This type of behavior is unacceptable in customer service. I am considering canceling my membership if this issue is not addressed. I freakin' LOVE my Planet Fitness. I don't know if it's as good everywhere, but mine is AWESOME! I love the staff--they are so friendly and always remember me-- and the cleanliness and atmosphere. I love starting with the red-light/vibration booths: the red light is energizing and actually makes this overly sedentary mama feel ready for a workout. I love that there is a huge variety of machines, some of which I ocassionally use, but my favorite is actually the circuit room. And I LOVE the massage beds, and knowing that if I'm a good girl and do my workout, I can treat myself to a massage. I'm a life-long gym hater, though I've joined several at the behest of friends. This is literally the first time in 50 years that I have enjoyed the experience

Decent gym. Especially for intermediate to beginner level people. They do have free weights, but that isn't the focus of the facility. Resistance training and machines take up the majority of the floor. For black card members they do have massage chairs, tanning, and hydro massage tables. They also have a 30 minute interval circuit training area for quick trips. Overall a decent gym.

Shay the manager sucks ...she does not know what she is doing...does not train her employees well at all..I'm a black card member and she was very rude to me...I would not recommend planet fitness to anyone specially the oak ridge one...
I wanted to use the hidro massage and it was already taken so they sent me to the regular chair massage also was not available..the employees that were assigned to that duty failed to do their job...and the manager Shay instead of oppologing said well their nothing we can do ..I told her I was in a hurry because I was going to work after ...she was very rude and looked like she was intoxicated with somethings. Either drunk or hi....Im going back to gold's gym for sure....

Met the manager and TJ the trainer the first visit. I’m 86 yrs old with a bum left arm from surgery 35 yrs ago! TJ challenged me that if I would follow his recommendations of exercises that in 3 weeks I would be greatly surprised. I had to use my right hand to raise my left hand above my head. In less than the 3 weeks the pain had subsided and I was lifting 1 lb. I’m 5 weeks along in training and able to do 3 sets of 10 with 10lbs on the shoulder press. I’m amazed and thankful! TJ is great trainer and a friend who will help you meet your goals. Do the work and reap the rewards! I highly recommend the Oak Ridge Texas Planet fitness and a most high recommendation of TJ the motorcycle riding trainer. Thank you TJ

This is the worst gym to go to. It is a scam. I myself as well as numerous others I have heard tell their stories of the unnecessary charges and inability to cancel is absolutely ridiculous. Was trespassed this morning on counts of things that legitimately didn't happen. "Discussing crimes" no crime was ever discussed nor ever been committed. Or better yet talking about drugs and stating that they was their for that conversation. I don't utilize such things to even have that conversation. And lately following around members of the staff, never have I followed any of the staff around. Have had conversations strictly at the front desk and passed by members but nothing more. Absolutely outrageous to be falsely accused of things and especially by a manager who's name or face I've never even seen before and have the audacityto lie to my face about things. Great way to take care of your homeless vets who are just trying to shower and get better in their lives. Up until today I had nothing bad to say about the place or people. As the facility is nice and so I thought we're the people. Best bet, don't talk to the staff unless you really have too. They are also currently not working with a refund request if they decide to end my membership. None of these things or conversations have happened or better yet accurately happened. They don't care if it's the last money you have I tried twice to get them to cancel my account they refuse both times charge me over $70 and now they've taken the last little bit of money I had to eat on for the rest of the week and all they can say is sorry we can't help you they won't give you a managers contact information so that you can speak to somebody over the people at the gym all they want is your money they do not care about you whatsoever I guess it's not a shock but I expected at least some sort of professionalism I was wrong....

So, to my chagrin and surprise, I was shocked that I witnessed a patron setting up a ring light to film at around 9:00 pm last night in the free weight area near the front door. So I went in thinking I was ready to start a membership and work out but due to me working 7 days a week 14 hours a day I have yet to start but when I do it will probably most definitely be through Planet Fitness I had previously tried to enter two other gyms I want mention their name and you couldn't get in the front door there was no one at the front desk so I turned around and left Planet Fitness on the other hand when I post the front door magically opened walked in to employees at the front desk both more than eager to help me gave me a flyer give him the times and the days that I could see a private trainer and figure out what type of workout I'm wanting to do and need to do but again when I do get the time to start working out it will most definitely be through Planet Fitness not the other two fitness centers you can't get in the front door and you can't get anyone to open the front door because apparently no one works at these two fitness centers
