I don't know how to get ahold of you. I've been going to La Vergne since you closed and they say that you're doing a complete remodel. I hope not. I like your gym the way it is. Especially the yellow machines. The only thing I would change is that little room in the back, that would make a great yoga room. You don't even need an instructor, just a giant screen playing stretching exercises. La Vergne has a bigger variety of machines, but I would still rather go to Smyrna the way it is. All you really need is a new clock and someone to clean the bathrooms.

I came in with questions about getting a membership the employee at the front counter was very polite answered all my questions let me look around at the machines very clean Place everything you could want tanning beds massage beds every type of thing you need to strengthen and exercise your body and they have two different plans one was like 25.00 and you can bring a guest with you each time you come into work out they have full access as well. There is also a less expensive version per month I believe 15.00 per month single person only I've looked around at several gems this is definitely the one to be at and there's multiple locations throughout my area I can always find a Planet Fitness I'm definitely signing up here

Regular Planet Fitness goer here… I have stopped at some pretty rough PFs here in TN, but this has got to be the worst one. The women’s bathrooms were disgusting, trash all in the shower and changing stalls, used razors everywhere, not to mention there was no actual head on the shower. The showers were lukewarm at the very best. Stopped to tell the workers at the front desk about the conditions of the bathrooms and all they could do was tell me there were hardly any females on staff to clean the bathrooms. At my home club in McMinnville, everyone cleans the bathrooms! Such a sorry excuse for people not doing their jobs. Very disappointed in this place!

These folks are why I rarely agree for payment drafts. I paid for 6 plus months without going, that's on me but when I did cancel my membership they charged me the yearly fee that very day and would not refund it. This place is disgusting. Rarely if ever cleaned. Staff is too busy at the front desk on their phones perusing their social media. Edit: in response to the response from the club owner, I feel the pictures speak for themselves. I should not have to address this with the manager; rather, they should be aware of the cleanliness of this facility and not only taking steps to rectify it but also getting the staff to get their faces out of their iPhones and actually do some work. There is no excuse for full trash cans at 0730 in the morning. As club owner you should be concerned about the state of your club.

Its overcrowded with the very people PF claims they don't want around (wanna be lunks in tank tops who grunt non stop). The equipment is never where it's supposed to be. The benches and machines are always gross. There's random teenagers on their phones always huddled up on the machines most people use so they're never available. The back room smells like rotted garbage. Bathrooms are always covered in toilet paper. The people at the desk are always super kind but the location itself is just not it. The PF in West Nashville is my old gym and they do it right. Wish it wasn't so far away because that place is amazing. Honestly just gonna get rid of PF at this point.

I signed up for the classic membership at Planet Fitness while visiting from the EU. I was told I could cancel before January 23 with no extra charges and no commitment. I canceled on January 15, but was surprised to learn I’d still be charged for February. This wasn’t disclosed when I signed up, despite clearly stating I only needed the membership for two weeks. The lack of transparency is disappointing.

We have come to this facility a couple of times for showers. I have yet to have a good experience. The showers are often filthy sometimes to the fault of other humans but typically because it doesn’t seem they use cleaning products or a scrubbing mechanism. Luckily I have shower shoes otherwise I feel like I would contracted a fungus by now. The water is never hot let alone warm and the shower heads are essentially like taking a shower under a pressure washer. I have been far too disappointed to even want to stick around and attempt to dry my hair despite the freezing cold temperatures, however my hunk of a man must maintain his beautiful beard but can not because the hair dyers are either missing or not functioning. Do better, be better, you have had enough chances to not get this wordy review!!!! And whomever responds to these do NOT tell me to contact the manager on duty about cleanliness….. they should be able to see the repulsiveness on their own accord, and clearly they can’t so I am just here to warn the masses. Go be great.

This Planet Fitness needs a cleaning crew. The gym it's self just has a bad smell. The locker room smells like urine fairly strong. The showers don't get hot and they look like they have not been cleaned in weeks. I could go on but I won't. This place Needs Cleaned!

This PF in Smyrna can be summed up in one word: dirty. I hate giving bad reviews, but I've reached out to management here a few times only to have the club get dirtier, not cleaner. Overnight staff do nothing (unless you count sleep and playing technology music), doors on bathroom stalls are gaping and falling off, tp is often out, sinks are hit or miss on water pressure, and there is dust that has been in the corners of the rooms for 18+ months. Yes, they have good spacing and some good updated equipment, but cleanliness is lacking in the worst way. Truly sorry to deliver this review.

Having been to quite a few Planet Fitness locations, this is undoubtedly one of the cleanest, most well kept facilities. I personally have visited. Aside from a degree or two of an adjustment cooler at the thermostat, there’s really nothing else I would recommend to this locations management. Great place to work out 👍🏼

Why do all the response to these reviews about the cleanliness shirk their responsibilities and ask customers to contact management? Why don’t the folks monitoring these reviews contact management? Stop trying to get customers to work for you.

I was going to register for a membership, but the cleanliness and poor customer service will have me spending my money elsewhere.

Let’s be clear. I didn’t post this review on the corporate location. I posted my comment on the specific location. Your club management should be responsible for responding for their actions. I guess they are too busy not cleaning their club.

If they can’t be responsible for responding to their own reviews then call them and tell them to clean their club. Tell them they are not meeting your corporate standards and their franchise could be in jeopardy. Of course, that would have to be true.

Filthiest planet fitness in Middle Tennessee. If you’re serious about getting a lift in then I recommend going to the one in Murfreesboro. This place reminds me of a retirement home! Staff loves to watch you lift and if you make a small grunt to push yourself you will be getting lunkered. Lol

I use this gym frequently. I love the up to date equipment and all of the staff are super friendly. Today I went in to workout and just didn't have the energy. I approached the counter and asked Taylor for tokens for the massage chair. While ge grabbed the tokens I expressed to him how I just wasn't feeling the workout. He then replied to me " Well at least you came in". That little bit of encouragement meant the world to me. Taylor is a super nice guy, encouraging person and an excellent gym staff member!!! If you are not interested in showing off and artificially boosting your ego, this is the best gym. It has a vast amount of well maintained fitness equipment, showers and lockers, and lots of free perks. It DOESN'T have 2 indoor olympic sized swimming pools, a quarter mile indoor track, an onsite masseuse, or a juice bar, but it's also not $200 a month.

Black card members get unlimited access to both stand-up tanning and tanning beds, a massage bed, massage chairs, and some kind of thing I don't get that vibrates fat off or something. Honestly, I'm not sure what it does.

All members get access to free group training with the personal trainer, and if your days are free, you may get one-on-one training as the groups can be very, very small.

Otherwise, it's clean, it's well maintained, most stuff works most of the time, and people tend to leave you alone to do your thing and get out.

Oh, and the staff is either very friendly or leaves you alone entirely unless you have a question or a need.

This seems to be generally the case, across the board, at all locations since you can go to any location in the US with the black card.

Update: still a great place, but some users are, imo, rude and sit on the same piece of equipment in the 30 minute workout area, when they are supposed to be moving from machine to machine. It's a circuit, people. If you want to stay on the machine, go to the ones designated for that. I'm just saying.

The Smyrna location is the filthiest gym in the chain. It’s hard to tell the last time the bathroom floors were cleaned every time I go in. There frequently are broken machines, no hot water and there has been a bathroom stall door that has been broken off and on for at least 2 years. I drive to mt Juliet, Lavergne and Murfreesboro to avoid this gym now because I’m so disappointed in how this one is run.
