I joined Rise Strength & Performance in Lebanon, TN because I have seen tremendous health benefits experienced by people attending this gym. I love that there are at least one or more experienced coaches who are present as I work out! They provide a new program every six weeks so my muscles are always being challenged. I am over 65+ and am so thankful the coaches know how to adapt a workout to fit my age group and health status. I actually look forward to working out at 8:00 am now which I thought would be ALMOST impossible! I attended a larger "commercial" gym but did NOT experience the benefits or receive the coaching that I have at Rise. If I could give Rise more than five stars, I would do so!

I joined Rise over the summer after driving past the gym for a bit. From the moment I met with Sam, I knew this was the place for me. What started as a 6-week challenge, became a love of being at the gym at 5am. The coaches are supportive and adapt workouts as needed and truly make you feel like you can do anything. I’ve accomplished so many goals I a few short months and I can’t wait to see what is ahead. And if the coaches aren’t enough, a morning snuggle from Rudy will keep you coming back each day! 🐾

I began at Rise Strength and Performance after evaluating my current fitness, and desires for the future. After a thorough discussion with Sam Pfister where he inquired about my hopes and goals for the future, I decided to do enroll in the "Six-Week Challenge". Sam said it's like pulling off a bandaid. If you're serious about this I will give you a meal and fitness plan you will need to follow. I began at the beginning of July and soon realized the benefits of eating differently and a three time weekly 1 hour group training session. At the end of the six weeks, which involved different trainers Sam, Kara, Chris, Matt and Lex all who were very attentive to the way I performed each exercise, I decided to continue on with my 3 time a week workout routine. This process has exceeded my expectations. The most recent compliment I received from my 15 year grandson was "you're defined Pop". I thank Sam, Kara, Chris and the entire team at Rise for helping me get on track and the accomplishments they helped me make over the past few months.

I have had and are still having a very beneficial experience at Rise Strength Training. It has been life changing. When I started with my personal trainer I was thin and frail. Since December I have been working with Chris. I have put on 11 pounds of muscle and feel stronger and better than ever. It is good mentally and builds confidence. It is hard work but well worth it.

If you want to get results and don’t like going to big gyms, then Rise Strength and Fitness is the place for you. It’s a small group program. The trainer’s are awesome and make your plan just for you. Call Sam the owner and set up an appointment and check out the program, you want regret it. It’s been a great program for me with great results.

I was referred to Sam by a chiropractor. I have always loved strength training but had just moved to Lebanon. Update: I have lost a total of 50 pounds, and I can't thank Rise and Strength Performance enough for the help. I have definitely put in the work with my nutrition and exercise but could not of accomplished it without these trainers. If you ever had a thought of going to receive personal training here, I encourage you to go. I have also met so many awesome people that I call friends. Everyone is so accepting and encouraging.

Love rise ! I’ve been here since end of July and have lost 10 pounds ( on top of 20 I lost before working out ) . Sam is very educated about working out and is here to educate you as you go through you workout. He creates a workout plan catered to you and your body wether that be lack of motion , improvement of muscle and any injuries. I have gained tremendous amount of muscle and learned about a healthy lifestyle. I can’t thank Sam and rise enough for my lifestyle change . Plus working out with a gym dog makes it even better !!

If you're not sure if the whole "gym thing" is for you, you need to check out the great coaches at Rise. I've tried those cheap gym memberships before, where you scan in, wander around a big room filled with equipment you have NO IDEA how to use, and everyone is impersonal. At Rise you are instantly part of the family! I've never felt more encouraged in a gym before. Do they push you to do more than you think is possible? You better believe it! But because the class sizes are small, each coach is able to provide very thorough instruction. They are focused on proper technique, making sure we avoid injury as we lift. I'm 4 weeks in, my husband can see the physical changes, I feel amazing, and every day I leave the gym feeling like I've truly accomplished something JUST FOR ME! Thanks, Sam and crew. 2022 was a big year for me. I hit the five (5) year mark with a diagnosis of PLS (a Motor-neuron disease), turned 50 and started training with Sam at Rise Strength & Performance. I didn’t even realize how weak and afraid I had become. I was allowing this disease to dictate what my life was going to look like and I knew I needed someone who could coach me not only physically but take the time to understand my diagnosis and help me attack this disability from various standpoints. Sam did his research and every month he designs new ways to challenge me. My strength, energy, balance, mind and body connection have all consistently improved. I met Sam before knowing he was a coach and honestly has been since day one a delightful and kind person to interact with. He is approachable and easy to talk to.
I don’t know if your like me, but I don’t do well with people that seem to stern and uptight, makes my tail drop between my legs and bow out backwards as soon as possible so to be able to have the opportunity to have a kind hearted person is a plus in Todays society! As soon as I found out he was a coach I decided I’d like to see how this program is. It is Great! I am really loving his whole program set up to attain my goals. I am new at this but I love that I get a reminder the day before my appointment(busy mom, I need all the help). I appreciate that he sends out emails that are honest, vulnerable and inspirational. He is quick with addressing concerns or even going out of his way to Accommodate you as best he can. He’s the first trainer I have ever trained with that has offered me a meal plan and how I should be more aware of my intake. And I am Learning I Am Stronger then I Thought I Was!!! Thanks Sam! My favorite memory so far is one time during a work out he asked me, “Ashley, you want a dumbbell to add to that”… I said No and smiled… thinking I can’t do more… next set while in mid workout he smoothly handed me a dumbbell with out asking, 😂 I thought Oh No but I DID IT!!! It was actually a bit easier. He’s helping me greatly to listen, push myself, and accept the challenge. I may surprise myself. And I know he can help you too 🙌
