About the Club

RSB enables people with Parkinson’s disease to fight their disease by providing non-contact boxing-style fitness programs that improve their quality-of-life and sense of efficacy and self-worth. Recent studies also suggest that intense exercise programs may be “neuro-protective,” actually working to delay the progression of symptoms.
RSB provides encouragement through a “tough love” approach, inspiring maximum effort, speed, strength, balance and flexibility. Boxing works by moving your body in all planes of motion while continuously changing the routine as you progress through the workout.

I have been attending classes at Rock Steady Boxing - Memphis for almost 4 years now, and I am more steady on my feet, my core strength has improved (which helps my balance/steadiness), I can reach higher, and the coaches are super folks who genuinely care for their boxers.

The fact that the boxers are all Parkinson's Disease patients means we all understand what the others are dealing with at any given time, and the support we offer is tremendous. Keep up the good work, guys!

I highly encourage anyone who is affected with Parkinson’s to join RSB. It’s a great way to meet others who are fighting this battle and get a good workout. Staff is excellent, very knowledgeable, friendly and dedicated. They are also creative at designing exercises that develop cognitive skills as well as different muscle groups. Always a fun time, exchange tips and ideas, give and recite encouragement: RSB is the champion.

Owner gives of her time along with her manager and her assistant. They are trained to work with people with Parkinson’s. They have a great staff along with able volunteers. The Gym is clean and well equipped. They have been a great to work with me as I travel Through my journey of living with Parkinson’s. Would have been lost without them. If you or someone you know is traveling this journey look them up you will not be disappointed.

Rock Steady Boxing is better than any PT program we have been in. My husband is not able to fully participate in all the exercises, but he does get a big smile on his face when the coaches engage with him. They are compassionate and caring coaches that provide excellent exercises And fun for those involved. The socialization with other members, as well as the coaches is awesome to see and does put a smile on my husband‘s face. It is awesome to find a happy place that tries to keep my husband’s body moving.

Rock Steady is a first class gym and fitness program, but it also has a compassionate environment that sets it above all others.

Have been going to Rock Steady since March 2023. This is great therapy for those with Parkinsons. It provides a full range of stretching/yoga type exercises, balance, strength, and of course, the boxing which really gets the body moving. Can't say enough about the coaches who are very attentive and really care about your progress. They are constantly coaching to help you develop and meet individual goals. Doctors and therapists I have seen have all recommended the program. The participants have great comraderie and we have a lot of fun. Go for it!

One of the greatest boxing gyms I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They have a family environment and treat you like that, but they hold you accountable to your goals.

Dedrick and Damageville. Thank you for turning my “cannots” into “cans.” You’ve pushed me further than I thought I could go, and shown me that I can reach my physical goals if I stay focus and consistent. Training with you has benefited my perspective in other areas of my life. Thank you for transforming me!

Rock Steady Boxing Memphis was a blessing when we knew my dad needed to get moving! When I saw this program I knew it was the perfect fit for Daddy. Everyone there was welcoming from day one. Cheryl and the staff genuinely care about the participants and it was something Daddy looked forward to each week, when he had no interest in getting out of the house, otherwise. Give it a try!

I cannot say enough good things about Rock Steady Boxing! This program has been life-changing for my husband and myself! At the time of his evaluation,, as my husband's care-giver, I was encouraged to exercise along side him. I was both surprised and pleased to be able to participate in doing the exercises myself as well as being there to assist my husband. These exercises include stretching, strength training, verbal, cognitive skills and of course, boxing! When we began the program, my husband was close to having to use a wheelchair. He could barely walk and was a fall risk. I had some health issues of my own. Now it is five months later and my husband is walking much better. I have benefited as well and am stronger and better able to take care of him. The Owner and the Coaches are all very nice and very involved in making sure that the participants are able to carry out the exercises (or modified versions of them if needed) in a safe but effective manner. If you have been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease or if you have a loved-one who has Parkinson's, I highly recommend this program!

Rock Steady Boxing Memphis (RSB) has been incredibly supportive to us. The work that the coaches do has made such a difference to my husband and me, both physically and socially.

Their work is their passion, and their passion is to improve the quality of life for those with Parkinson's disease.

We are forever grateful to RSB for the community they have created.
