I’ve been doing yoga with small world yoga at Edmonton library in Nashville for the last four years. It is perfect today. We had so much fun because Gilbert Valenzuela picked music of the 70s to play because he knows his client tell was mostly over 65 The best part about the small world yoga instructors is they give you several options and don’t make you feel awkward because you’re not doing it right.
Sarah Ellis is wonderful too. All are good just know those two instructors best.

So I’ve been loyal to my usual yoga studio for a while, but decided to branch out, and now I’m questioning my entire existence. Cody taught both classes I took, and I swear this man was born in a squat. Dude held chair pose long enough to file taxes and plan a small revolution. I don’t know if he’s enlightened or just stubborn, but I respect it deeply.

Class was wild. My legs were vibrating like an iPhone on silent. Every time I thought we were done, Cody was like, “One more plank,” and now I live in plank. My arms wrote this review without me, and filled for divorce.

The room could be hotter. I want to be sweating like I’m being interrogated by the CIA. I want to see visions of my ancestors handing me a towel. I want to crawl out drenched, whispering “water” like it’s a lost language.

Studio’s clean, everyone’s nice, and apparently it’s nonprofit, which in this economy feels like a spiritual awakening on its own. Will absolutely be back to legally suffer in the name of wellness.

There is a refreshing amount of diversity in the teachers, students and classes offered. I loved the community oriented aspect of the non profit studio. This was the only yoga studio I kept coming back to while living in Nashville
because of how good the vibes were!

I’ve been looking for a cozy local yoga studio to support and I’ve finally found it. Small World Yoga teaches yoga the way it should be taught: judgment free, inclusive, community oriented, and fun!

Did a drop in class to check out the space/ try it out. I was very pleased with the layout and the amenities. Also very pleased with it being a non-profit & Sara ellis, she was such a doll & She is a really good teacher. She gave me a sticker before i left, which made me smile. This was the first class I took in a long while, and I'll definitely be back.

I went with friends and we had a great time at the Yogi Beats class! The music was really fun, which I really enjoyed as someone who can get bored with typical yoga. The class was a combination of stretching, a good workout, and a little dancing. Overall, a great time!

We were happy and lucky to be instructed by our friend, Anita Hoerman. She has a grounding tone of voice, her flows were powerful, and she kept us engaged in our own practice and kept us working hard for ourselves. The studio was pretty, simple, and functional. Great playlist. Very happy with our visit!

After one visit, and struggling to get through the power flow class, I was hooked. They’re running an amazing special for the summer- $150 for unlimited yoga from the day you sign up through Aug 31!!

Teachers are kind and welcoming, the studio is giving back to the community actively and as a part of their mission, and even though I’m just getting back into practicing regularly- I’m feeling encouraged and excited to be a part of such a loving place!

10/10 highly recommend, and if you are nervous I’ll go with ya. You will fall in love with SWY too- OH and it’s walking distance to the Gulch- one of my favorite areas of Nashville with lots to do.

Love the music during class and the lavender towel at the end :) also so happy that my class payment goes toward the amazing things they are doing in the community!

Best studio in Nashville! All of the instructors are amazing. I love the inclusive atmosphere and judgement-free vibe. The studio is clean, light-filled, convenient and well run. And it’s a nonprofit that brings yoga into the community for those who otherwise wouldn’t have access to it. What’s more yogi than that? 🧘‍♀️

I discovered Small World Yoga through their partnership with Cheekwood. Early in the pandemic, I found myself feeling really down with the quarantine and being locked up in the house all day. Every week, I looked forward to Wellness Wednesdays with Small World Yoga because it was the only time I left the house or saw other people (outside my family). I'm so grateful to Liz and the entire SWY team for getting me through 2020.

This organization is incredible! The yoga studio is quality space with top notch instructors, great heat. And the mission and outreach that this yoga community extends, putting on hundreds of yoga classes each month for free all over the city is incredible. And each studio class is just $5? Hard to beat that.

I did my first class at Small World Yoga yesterday and fell in love. The class was the Power Yoga from 6-7 (HIGHLY RECOMMEND).From the moment I walked in the staff was so friendly and ready to help me get started for class. Class was VERY hot (like they said 90-95 degrees) at first I was worried about it but the second you start doing the yoga poses you forget how hot it is. For someone who rarely does yoga, it was a challenging but I was able to keep up with everyone. I will definitely be coming back once a week and encourage anyone who is wanting to try yoga to try the power flow class.

SMY is an outstanding organization. Their studio is small, but clean and sweet and welcoming. Not one ounce of pretension here, folks. You can take a class for as little as a $5 donation...and feel good knowing that the money goes toward outreach programs in schools, prisons, libraries, and community centers. Nobody tries to push you toward a package or merchandise... oh, and just in case you're wondering, there is a lavender-scented cold towel placed by your mat in the last 5 minutes of class. Sometimes that alone is worth the challenge of hot yoga!

One of my favorite things to do when I travel is jump in a hot yoga class. I decided upon SWY because of the community outreach they provide.

I'm so glad we chose small world yoga, the flow had great energy and Keenan was such a helpful instructor. It was my boyfriends first time in any yoga class and first time HOT yoga ever. It's not Bikram hot but the room is still a nice steamy temp. Anyway, he felt very comfortable there. The class was packed and had all levels. Thanks again, hope we can stop by again soon!

First time here today and it kicked my butt in the best possible way. I took the noon power class and it was an awesome introduction back into yoga after being sedentary for about 2 months. It was challenging but fulfilling. The instructor led in a fun way and definitely knows stuff. She was very lovely to talk to after class as well. The best part is the money they make goes towards bringing yoga to schools, prisons, etc. This is definitely my new yoga home!
