I have been very impressed with the summer camp program. My son begs to go early every day and for me to pick him up later. He LOVES this program. It gives me a piece of mind that he is well taken care of while I work.

I’ve been a member for years now. The “Y” is not what it used to be. It honestly is not worth the membership. The membership is over 40$ a month. You have to pay more for 24/7 access. It isn’t fair to the people who ONLY USE THE Y FOR THE GYM ACCESS. I’m paying for the pool(that’s not even open) and all of the other things that I don’t use. It blows my mind that they pay someone to sit in the gym all night to verify that the people coming in have 24/7 access. Meanwhile the gym is a mess, nothing is stocked, no toilet paper no paper towels. This place has really gone down hill. Now I am hearing they are making people leave even if they got there before 8pm (when the Y closes). The gym equipment is mostly for the elderly. Consider going somewhere else to workout.

This place is basically a glorified day care. They care more about their after school program than they do their regular gym going members. Also had a friend called and they said their basketball courts are “always open” that is a lie, 80% they are using it for their after school day care program. Also their water fountains are like McD’s ice cream machines, they are broke half the time.

Great place to work out, they pro-rate the price if you join in the middle of the month. They offer 24/7 access for a monthly charge at only $6. Well worth the $42 a month. Great equipment and facilities such as the pool. 11/10.

I signed my 3 year old up for swimming lessons because we have a pool at home. I wish I would have been informed they do not teach scared/difficult children how to swim and if they are crying and scared to get into the water they “can’t teach them”. Also, only two instructors for 6 plus kids. 30 of the 45 minutes are spent with the kids bouncing up and down in the water while they pull the others down the pull and back. Total waste of money so if you have a hesitant child. FYI they want you to get in the water with them until they’re comfortable. Insane considering you pay for a limited number of visits and my child clung to my husbands neck the entire time. Visit 3 she is still scared but there is just nothing they can do for her. So invest your money in skilled trainers who can teach one on one if your kiddo isn’t a water baby but you need them to learn to swim so they don’t drown.

24/7 has been updated with a ton of new machines and equipment, always clean and never really too busy. Plenty of free weights in the 24/7 as well. More are in the weight room with sauna and steam rooms. Sauna is nice and clean and is always nice to get in after a workout.

We were here for the Apple festival road race when it was just open for that and a lot of their features were down like the indoor pool was covered with a tarp, and they had a volleyball net up outside but their was no volleyball just a basketball which wasn’t going to work.

I want to start by saying I love the YMCA and their mission. For the most part the Unicoi facility is great. However, some areas are NOTICEABLY filthy. The steam room floor is covered in dirt and who knows what else. I can only speak for the men's locker room but the showers are grimy. I'm not sure when or if these have last been cleaned but they are WAY over due.

They are a huge part of the community. Great staff it could really use a good cleaning there is dust and dirt all over and around their vending machines. The stairs at the gym are disgusting and the window frames and walls look like they have never been cleaned. There are always kids here our kids play travel basketball here and a lot of the parents have noticed how unkept it is. The gym with the equipment however is clean and they have a wide variety of equipment.

Overall great. Been going for a while. The gym has a few machines that needed fixing, but they eventually were fixed. There's just enough space for the amount of people that come in. No real complaints about the establishment, but with some of the people that attend. That's expected though.

Very unprofessional staff. After repeated attempts to call, I was finally able to get a live person, after I asked her about membership, she said they were really busy and asked me to call back in 30 minutes. I waited 30 minutes and called back, only to take four calls to get a live person again and she wanted to put me on hold. After being put on hold for a few minutes. She picked up and answered again, but as soon as I started speaking, she hung up.

The hours to actually get a live person on yhe weekends are also abysmally bad. They literally close at noon on Saturdays!

Went to the swimming pool, very nice and big with showers. They have the pool separated by each lane by reservation so you have your own space for social distancing. Best pool around. $7 for adults $5 for kids.

This place does a great job providing a nice facility and and holding events. They are out of their league for the small town they are in. I have completed 3 or their triathlons and some of their 4 mile races, and they have all been some of the best organized events I have done. Even with the complications of timing triathlons and hosting big-time running events, they are competent and professional.
