When I first walked through the doors for my semi-private strength training classes back in January, I had absolutely zero gym experience. Fast forward to today, and I can honestly say this place has completely changed my life.
The transformation I've seen isn't just physical—though I'm thrilled to be getting strong, building muscle, and hitting milestones I never thought possible—it's been profound for my mental health too.
What truly makes this gym unique and special is the community. It’s not just a place to work out; it feels like a family. It is such a welcoming, loving, and deeply supportive environment. The moment you step in, you feel encouraged and empowered, which is exactly what a beginner (and everyone else!) needs.
A huge shoutout goes to Kate and Chase, who are nothing short of amazing. Their coaching, guidance, and energy are the backbone of this incredible atmosphere. I genuinely look forward to every single class, and I can't put into words how much I appreciate what this community has given me. If you’re looking for a gym that offers top-tier training and a supportive second home, I cannot recommend this place enough!

I moved to Tennessee temporarily for just a couple months and was looking for a gym. As a beginner with not much experience, I was honestly a little stressed and overwhelmed by the idea of weightlifting. Then I found Wilco Strength Lab, and I’m so glad I did.
From the very beginning, I loved that it’s a small, family-owned gym. The owners are really special people — so genuine, understanding, and kind. They met me right where I was at, which meant so much to me. You can tell they truly care about people and put their heart into everything they do, and that’s something I really value in a business.
I started doing their semi-private classes, which ended up being the perfect option for me. I got time with a trainer without having to pay personal training prices. Chase, the instructor, was amazing — so patient, encouraging, and knowledgeable. He helped me learn how to lift with proper form and actually feel confident doing it, which was huge for me.
Honestly, the community is what made it even better. The other women in the classes were all so uplifting and supportive — no judgment, no drama, just really good people who want to see each other do well.
Wilco became one of my favorite parts of being here. I’m only in Tennessee for a short time, but leaving this gym is one of the things I’m going to miss the most. If you’re thinking about joining a gym in the area— seriously, this is the one!

Wilco is an amazing place! My personal training experience with Chase has been incredible - he's so knowledgable and always knows which tweaks to make to be sure you're getting the best workout with correct form to avoid injury. The gym is always clean, the members are encouraging and friendly. You won't find a better gym around here!

I joined Wilco Strength Lab almost 2 years ago, and it was the best decision I’ve made in a while! I find “typical gyms” very intimidating and spent many years trying new places, taking classes and then trailing off and just quitting. Then I heard about WSL and decided to try something completely different than what I had done before. Strength training was a whole new world for me, but one I’ve grown to love.
Kate and Chase are simply amazing - so welcoming, so knowledgeable and motivating, and truly have a passion for helping others achieve their goals. The environment is comfortable and laid back, and the community is so friendly and supportive. I’m in my mid 40s and have seen so much improvement in both my physical and mental strength and my overall health. The sessions (safely) push me more than I would ever push myself (which is exactly what I need, being a bit of a workout underachiever), in a way that makes me feel productive and accomplished afterward.
I couldn’t be happier with my decision to join WSL and can’t recommend them enough. It’s been such a positive addition to my life.

Absolutely love this gym!
This place is a gem. It's not just a gym—it’s a community. The equipment is top-notch, there’s always a great atmosphere, and you can tell it's built by people who truly care about creating a space for people to get stronger and improve your health/life.
The owners are seriously awesome and such hard workers—super knowledgeable, welcoming, and always ready to help or offer advice if you need it. You can tell they’ve put a lot of heart into creating a space that supports everyone. I starting going to this gym after a hip injury to get back into training. I did private session with Chase and he listened to me and the areas I have pain, and created a solid program for me. I have lost 20lbs since joining WILCO Strength Lab!!!! I love the different training levels they offer, private sessions, semi private sessions, and open gym. On top of being a great gym, Kate is an incredible resource for all things nutrition. You get everything under one roof.

I’ve been a member since Wilco Strength Lab opened, but I didn’t start going consistently until the end of April and I only wish I had committed sooner! Joining Wilco has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. I came in postpartum, unsure of how to get back on track, and I’ve seen incredible improvements in both my strength and my confidence. With Kate’s nutrition coaching, I’ve followed a personalized plan that is realistic and sustainable—no crash dieting, just an approach tailored to me that has helped me lose weight, build muscle, and feel strong again.

I am so excited I found Wilco Strength Lab. I am doing the Semi Private Small Group training and am already feeling so much stronger. I would be so intimidated to do weight training on my own, but with the group, I have a plan and get enough 1:1 support with Chase or Amber (the trainers) that I am learning appropriate form as well. I’m so appreciative of what Wilco Strength Lab is doing for me. Highly recommended!

I have been coming to Wilco for 6 months now, and never in my life did I think I would love the gym. And I absolutely love this place! Chase is an amazing trainer. He listened to my concerns, as I have 2 herniated discs, and had 2 c-sections. He started with making those areas stronger, and teaching me stretches and exercise I can do daily to help with them as well. I started slow, with only training 2 days a week, and now go 5 days a week (still train with Chase for 2 of them). I am lifting heavy, which I never thought I could. I also have the confidence to go the 3 days by myself. Both Chase and Kate are very encouraging, and they make you feel like you can honestly do anything. The other members are great as well. It’s a no judgement zone. So if you’re a newbie or an oldie to the gym, Wilco is perfect for everyone.

I've been training at Wilco Strength Lab for a few weeks now, and it's easily one of the best gym experiences I’ve had. Before working with Kate and Chase, I felt low: low energy, low motivation, low self-esteem, and low relationship with food – my day-to-day was a struggle and not fun. I felt hopeless and knew I needed to make positive changes to live a healthier life. I set a goal to lose 10 lbs. over the 12 weeks with Kate and Chase. It was a challenge and knew I had my work cut out for me after seeing the types of workouts I was assigned. I loved the meal plans Kate created for me and plan to use them again in the future. Regarding the workouts, once I got over the initial hump and started implementing new daily and weekly routines, I was hooked. I now ENJOY going to the gym and doing strength training and have seen the results. After completing 12 weeks with Kate and Chase, I am PROUD of myself and what I have accomplished – I lost the 10lbs! And learned so much along the way. I am excited to keep up this progress and work and am beyond grateful to Kate and Chase for their support, encouragement, and work alongside me. Before I started working with Kate, I had very little confidence in myself and achieving my goals. I have been pregnant or breastfeeding basically nonstop for over six years, including suffering a miscarriage. My life and body felt out of control.
Though the journey has been difficult and has required discipline and acceptance that it will take longer than I want, it has been worth it. My goals in working with Kate were not just to lose weight, but to do it the right way, and be educated in how to eat, so I could continue toward my goals even after our time together. I have been eating healthy food for a long time, but despite choosing healthy options, I was not eating the right foods. I have always had trouble eating enough protein, and though I fought Kate each step of the way, she finally helped me create a high protein diet that works for me and my life (even though I eat very little meat and like very few meat options).
Kate not only helped me lose 10 pounds in the 12 weeks that I worked with her, but more importantly, helped me create a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. She educated me on how I can keep going and working towards my goals even after our time was up. My hormones are a big factor, and those ten pounds took a long time to come off, but I've kept them off and will continue to lose as I keep implementing the strategies that Kate has empowered me with.
She was patient, kind, and always encouraging, even when I messed up or my case was frustrating. There were many weeks that I followed the plan exactly and lost nothing or even gained weight, but Kate stuck with me and encouraged me to keep going when I would have given up. She also was so knowledgeable about other factors that might have been impacting my achievement of these goals, that she helped me take a more full assessment of my life, mental health, sleep, and potential medical issues that I did not know to get checked out.
Kate's voice, personality, and knowledge were a light in my week, and I look forward to working with her again in the future to keep hitting my milestones on this journey.

I have been a client of Chase and Kate Burnett's for 7 months, and have experienced the benefits both of physical training and nutrition coaching. I love the small group training sessions because of the synergy and encouragement, all while still progressing at my own personal pace. As for the nutrition coaching, Kate went above and beyond what I thought a nutrition coach could or would do. I have been a client of Chase's since October of 2020. At the age of 43, I had recently joined the Tennessee Army National Guard. I was not in bad shape I knew I needed some work. Chase met with me and we established my goals (both fitness and nutrition).
Chase's workouts are challenging, and the results are no joke. At my first workout I could not do a single pullup and I can now do 5 with a 10 lb. weight around my waist. I can deadlift 340 lb., squat well over 250, and my bench press is knocking on 200 lb. too. When I began working out I weighed 175 lb. I now weight 195 lb...20 pounds of muscle!!!!! I look better and feel better.
