The gym is overall okay but restroom toilet is broken half the time I go to workout and somehow today they were completely out of toilet paper . Asked the guy working in the front desk and got the excuse of " we are completely out of toilet paper and don't know when we will receive a shipment" how's that even a thing when the gym is less than 50 steps away from a grocery store ?

I gave them 5 star review not too long ago and I’m going back on that. My last visit to the gym was awful. Multiple equipment failures…for example, the pec fly machine is broke and has a short bolt rigged up to hold the arm in place. The bathroom/locker room smelled horrible and was like walking into a nasty truck stop. I have been a member here since 2017. Going to give them a minute to bring this gym back up to standard and as nice as planet fitness. If not, I will cancel my membership I have had for almost a decade & theres a list of people behind me who feel the same way.

I do NOT recommend this gym. I wanted to cancel. This went on 4 months. I tried to get them and ask how I can cancel. Some paper will be mailed. When I joined, I gave them my card info. They accused me of not paying.. why? Because a card when I use to go there years ago, they were using that card. Their fault. The front desk is so rude. One staff member told me, we have explained this to you over and over. Really. The manager is the worst. I told Cade that I got a third party contact and he said, loudly whats the name. Whats the name about 5 times bulked up. They are intimidating, all they had to do was send me a link to cancel. He told me to give him 20.00 and he would give me the link. I gave him the twenty. He said cancel and give me 10.00. He has my up to date card. Didn’t feel comfortable to give him They always have a smart answer. Better not take one Especially Cade who bulks up. One dime out of my account. I reported to BBB. Nobody deserves to be treated that way.

I went in yesterday to join the gym and the young man sitting at the desk was clearly annoyed that I interrupted whatever he was doing at the time. I asked about the prices and he simply put a little plastic stand in front of me. I asked if he could give me a copy of it and he said 'take a picture'. We had a short conversation and after a few eyerolls and annoyed comments I simply left. The staff used to be friendly, not sure what happened with that. Also, the pricing is terrible! They no longer offer an affordable rate. We don't need the add-ons like the tanning bed or saunas. Really disappointed all around

Me and my wife opened an account here and it has been a nightmare ever since. We have to keep our credit cards locked because they charge you different prices whenever they want at anytime. We have paid off our balance off once already and the guy promised to freeze our account so that we could cancel the membership the following month then they turned right around and tried to charge us the very next day. Since the new GM took over, the place is clean and orderly. There is tons of equipment and it extends unto a backroom with even more squat racks and lifting equipment. Great gym, but I have to say that the Latin Booty Blast Class they have is obnoxiously loud. You can hear their music blasting through the entire gym, and through your earbuds/headphones. Some of the songs are also explicit and should not be played because there are children that visit the gym with their parents.

Hi my name is Brynn I’ve been going to Anytime Fitness for a little over a month now. I’ve been to many gyms but I haven’t felt as comfortable as I do when I enter for my workout. As a nurse it’s hard to find time but Anytime fitness is my happy place now. And not to mention the friendly smiles and the knowledgeable trainers they have on staff. That’s important to me. I had purchased a wiper blade here and today was my first chance to use my wipers about the 5th swish off came the wire had to drive 10 mile without wipers thank goodness I used only Rain X wiper fluid so the rain beaded up so was able to go to lunch and then find O'Reilly parts store they installed me a new blade and charged me nothing. Be very careful when getting a membership here because if anything at all goes wrong, good luck getting help! I had someone buy me a year long membership without my knowledge that it wasn’t monthly, I ended up cutting contact with that person and having to move. I tried to cancel my membership because you’re supposed to be able to upon moving but every single employee told me something completely different and in the end they refused to let me cancel without much explanation on why or how i could cancel. After a while the person who bought the membership canceled their card and workout anytime was threatening to send the charges to collection. I reached out again and despite me moving, not being in their gym for 10 months, and not even knowing i was signed up for a year long membership in the first place they refused to help in any way at all. I get that there’s not a lot of great gyms in Athens but for the short time i went here a lot of their equipment was broken anyway.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Workout Anytime, a gym that claims to offer a "no obligation" membership but sadly fails to live up to its promises. The misleading membership terms and unauthorized charges have left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.

When I initially signed up for a membership through their website and app, I specifically set my payment method as a one-time payment. However, despite this clear instruction, I have been consistently charged monthly fees. This blatant discrepancy between Workout Anytime's advertised policies and their actual billing practices is highly concerning and misleading to customers.

Adding insult to injury, when I decided to cancel my membership due to these deceptive practices, I was hit with an extra month's fee. This additional charge not only contradicts the so-called "no obligation" membership promised by Workout Anytime, but it also demonstrates a lack of integrity and a blatant disregard for their customers' rights and financial well-being.

Transparency and honesty are critical in any business, especially when it comes to matters of billing and customer obligations. Unfortunately, Workout Anytime falls short on both counts. Their failure to accurately communicate membership terms has caused unnecessary financial burdens and significant frustration.

I reached out to their customer service department seeking a resolution, and unfortunately, my concerns have yet to be addressed satisfactorily. I expected Workout Anytime to rectify the situation swiftly and provide the refunds I am rightfully owed. Regrettably, they have failed to meet these basic expectations.

I strongly advise potential gym-goers to exercise caution before considering a membership at Workout Anytime. The misleading terms, unauthorized charges, and lack of accountability have left me with a bitter taste. It is disheartening to believe in the values of a company only to be let down by deceptive practices and a disregard for their customers' financial well-being.

In light of my experience, I will actively discourage friends, family, and anyone else seeking a reliable and trustworthy gym facility from choosing Workout Anytime. I believe in holding companies accountable, and in this case, Workout Anytime has failed to earn my trust or recommendation.

Save yourself the frustration and find a gym that prioritizes transparency, customer satisfaction, and financial integrity. Workout Anytime, unfortunately, falls short on all these fronts.

Update: Upon originally adding this review I received a phone call within about 10 minutes informing me that the extra 30 day fee could be waived but they were unable to refund me for the 5 months of charges as long as I remove the review. So not only do they use deceptive and misleading practices they are not above blackmailing/bribing former customers instead of dealing with the issues correctly

Tanning bulbs have been needing to be replaced since I joined this gym last December. Also a body scan was supposedly included in my gym package which has been down for serval month I have only gotten to use this 2x. Good luck finding anyone to help you if you have any issues at all. I was under a freeze for 3 months. I asked to be unfrozen in April so I could use the services. It was not done. In May, I asked to cancel my membership and was told I could not until June 10th due to my account being frozen. I was charged on June 10th and could not cancel. I was was given the option to cancel June 12th. At that time, I could only cancel if I paid for July. When I asked to speak to someone who could help me, I was told I would get a call. Instead I got a snarky email telling me that I had never created an account and did not proceed with the cancelation ( I all ready had an account and had explained that I had tried multiple ways to follow their instructions)I got referred to a non working website if I had anymore questions. It is impossible to find anyone to speak to at this company and they will keep squeezing you for money because they have no customer service foundation and can claim "not my problem and there is nothing you can do about it". It's like making a contract with the devil.

An account was falsely registered in my name, I live in Tennessee & have never even visited Alabama or this site. They sent the account to collections & when I spoke with whatever worker on the phone I got a basic answer of pay the balance or let it hit your credit in collections. I’ve never in my life had so many issues canceling a membership in my life. My boyfriend and I joined together under the No contract membership and later found a gym that was a better fit so we canceled at anytime. First we had to pay a fee($65?) Well a month goes by and we get charged for a membership, yet we were assured it was canceled, another month goes by and it gets charged again. Come to find out they only canceled one account instead of both and now we are having to pay another cancel fee ($30?)for something that should’ve been canceled on top of the several months payments we got charged. Also the manger is very rude and unhelpful.

I've been a member of WOA since the Athens location opened. I've been a member of a couple different gyms but this one suits me the best. It is conveniently located, well maintained, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I love the hydro massage beds and I utilize the tanning beds a lot as well. I appreciate the upkept /updated equipment I have to say the thing I like most about WOA is the environment and the friendships I've made in the gym, even with the staff. A lot of gyms are strictly business, and this one can be if that's what you need, but there are a lot of members who will take time out of their workout to give advice or spot you if you need. I've met A LOT of nice people in this gym. If you're looking for a reasonably priced gym that has a great environment located here in Athens I would highly recommend Workout Anytime Athens 😁

As an out-of-towner from Michigan visiting family down here in Athens, I've had a great experience working out here as a guest this week. Highlights: Courteous staff, clean lockerroom and fitness areas, good variety of equipment, spacious. I would definitely recommend to others.

This place is another fine print gym that tries to scam you out of money when you try to cancel. When you cancel an account it says that it will also cancel any other account that is attached to it. So of course, you would think a family account attached to that account, opened at the same time would be cancelled too. Nope, they still charged me and fought me saying that I had a "family add-on" account instead of a family account. Like anyone other than an employee would you the difference. I'd steer clear of this place and go to 360 fitness across the way, it's a little bit more and way cleaner.
Oh, if you like to go to a gym that has buckets on the floor for the cheap uninsulated A/C ducts dripping then this is the gym for you.

Adding onto this, after the bad time I had with the manager and leaving my review, I received a voicemail from someone working for the owner of the gym. They were asking me to delete my comment and change my 1 star review to a 5 star review. Then they would refund my $30. They didn't care that I had a bad experience but they did care about the truth of their establishment being out there. I wouldn't trust the 5 star reviews that don't have comments because I would bet I'm not the first.

I cold not say enough good things about this facility! The staff are so helpful and kind. The gym is massive and there is always equipment open to use unlike other facilities that stay crowded. They also have classes that are super fun and convenient. I would recommend this gym to everyone!

I’ve been a member for a couple of years and this gym meets my needs. New management (Robert) has been a plus in making sure equipment and facilities are maintained clean and functional. There is plenty of space and equipment so that even in peak usage times you can get your workout done.
I try to make it to the gym 4 or 5 times a week during the winter months and do my cycling on their Expresso Cycling machines. I’m training for a century ride and it’s very convenient to be able to ride indoors when the weather won’t let you ride outdoors. The free tanning is a nice plus that I use before beach trips. All in all it’s a good gym with good management.
Update: They are adding a sauna so I’m upping my rating to 5 stars.

When we first moved to the area we tried out all the gym options and ultimately chose workout anytime. Having 24/7 access is so convenient. The tanning and massage beds are a great bonus. The staff has always been very outgoing and helpful. They also do a good job keeping it clean.
