If you do any sort of weightlifting or powerlifting, then RUN, don't walk, to this gym.
They have almost all of the equipment you need to run your program. If they don't have it, Sean will probably get it.
They are cool with chalk.
You can slam the bar down on your deadlifts.
You can play whatever music you want.
Everyone is friendly.
Price is extremely reasonable.
I'm so thankful that this gym exists.

Great community, great equipment, great everything. Recently moved to HTX and found 21st through a recommendation. If you lift, this is where you want to be.

I've been a member for over 3 months now and have only amazing things to say. A private gym with grit and character. Has all the equipment you need (if you know what you're doing, but if you don't know- don't worry, there will be people around to help you). Pretty diverse gym crowd: you will fit in whether you're a chatty cat or a recluse that is silently fighting their demons. An extra perk: occasionally you will see the most awesome, friendly dogs around (gym members' dogs) which certainly helps get through the toughest gym sessions!
Come try the gym out- i bet you that you will feel lucky you found such a gem!

Such a great vibe -- for newbies and pros. One of the strongest gyms in Houston and absolutely the best set up for power lifting! It's not fancy, no showers but the equipment and the people can't be beat.

Great gym, incredible people, and amazing community. I have been going here since the beginning. The owners are always putting money back into the gym and upgrading it for us. They do it for the love of strength sports, and are not just in it for money or clout. We always have fun gym events, competitions, and celebrations. No one ever feels judged, left out, or less than. Anyone from any background or fitness level can feel safe coming here! Oh, and you can’t beat the 24 hour access!!! Love this place.

21st Barbell is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to. This place isn’t just a gym—it’s where I found myself and became the #2 Olympic weightlifter in the nation. The culture here is unmatched. You’re surrounded by incredible athletes at every level, all pushing to be their best, but what truly sets it apart is the community and work ethic. No distractions, no egos—just hard work and real support. If you’re serious about your craft and want to become the athlete you’re meant to be, this is the place.

The 21st Barbell Club is more than just a gym—it’s a place where I can disconnect from everything for an hour and truly focus on myself. The community here is incredibly supportive, with members who genuinely uplift and motivate each other. Sean Henry, the owner and coach, truly cares about his clients and their success, making the experience even more rewarding. If you’re looking for a top-tier gym with an amazing community, this is the place to be!
