Very small place
Definitely old school weightlifting vibes, which also means no welcoming staff no tours of the place and no explanations to anything you just gotta ask around or find out. Compared to other gyms this will probably be one of the more cramped ones you will ever set foot in. I got a membership only because Golds was closing and I had to get another gym with a suana nearby my area. Unfortunately it’s this gym and I’m not too happy with what the place ended up being. I had heard so many good things about this gym but was ultimately let down. Needs new machines, more benches, cardio machines are wobbly and not sturdy at all, you can look into the guys restroom every time someone opens the door so you’d probably have to change in the stalls if you wanted actual privacy, the outdoor equipment is full of dust and dirt and not only that it’s completely useless during the winter as they have no forms of heater or any enclosure to keep you warm while you workout during the winter.
As someone who enjoys working out after a long day of work this place will do nothing but let you down unless you like a grimy overpriced cramped spot then this is for you.
Might consider updating this as the time goes by, but based off first impressions I wouldn’t recommend this spot unless you had to come here and there was no other option. Save your money there are much better gyms out here in El Paso

After being a member for a couple months I can safely say unless you like a grimy cramped dirty gym this is not the place for you. The sauna is always down and broken or the employees simply don’t turn it on to save money. A huge portion of the gym was being worked on for almost a month leaving the rest of the gym cramped and with less machines. The towels to clean with are always dirty and you have to grab other people’s sweaty rags to clean your machines just because they like to keep the place understaffed and dirty. Really terrible experience, but the pushing straw was that they upgraded everyone’s memberships to 24/7 access to get more money out of everyone even if they were not gonna use the perk of 24/7. Management is a bunch of money hungry young guys. Truly terrible for the gym culture don’t come here unless it’s the closest thing possible or you’re sponsored by their brand. Seriously almost everyone that is a member is sponsored by their brand which means they’ll only look for instagram models and guys on juice to keep their gym alive. No joke.

If I’m paying a membership I am expecting to be able to use every service the gym offers. That includes good equipment and the steam room to actually be working and available which rarely does. Backyard equipment is not taken care off. Edit as of 03-25-2025 the gym has gotten better and gotten a few upgrades. Staff is better and they do maintain the gym clean. Steam room still does not work properly. Already broke for a week or so in march, heat is not consistent. The backyard got a big upgrade with some new equipment except they still gelding on to the old broken one. If you want to do cables you still need to go inside and get handles. Seats are still falling off. The gym can get clustered at times specially in the afternoon but most days there is plenty of space and weights available. Personal trainers do still take a lot of space like racking weights on machines they ain’t using for their clients even tho they are not using it at the moment or just talking or on their phones which is pretty much every pt now days. It’s an ok gym for the price, they haven’t raised it or put surprising fees like before. Update as of 05.22.2025 been in the steam room for 20 minutes and it’s not even hot, called an hour to make sure it was working, staff said it was. Stay away moving to powerhouse

Like the other reviews say it’s cramped in there there are bodybuilding vibes is cool but nah the cardio equipment sucks really out dated machines are wobbly and the trainers there have a big ego. The girls like to train their clients there on the machines and they’re on the phone taking up time and space. They’re also always eating on the floor making the place stink like food can’t get a workout without the stank of food. In my opinion trainers shouldn’t eat while training clients. Just cause they pay rent they feel entitled. Overall over priced and don’t recommend

About to close off my 2nd year with Iron Grind, one thing is for sure is that I'll be adding another year to keep coming (: honestly, Iron Grind was very convenient that it's less than 5 minutes from me, it's located in a sort of isolated area as compared to commercial gyms so it's hardly ever packed even during peak hours which is great and you may even get the gym all to yourself (with a few others of course)!! Juice Bar has good choices! The Challenge Board is a great touch to challenge and get people involved in some friendly competition, the sauna is a good feature, outdoor gym and many nice qualities. The people are good, staff is amazing and overall a good gym to be apart of. My only wish is that for 2025 and perhaps in future years, Iron Grind can host powerlifting meets.

In town for a week and bought a guest pass. This gym has tons of equipment to hit all muscle groups and plenty of racks for its size. I came into town to visit my family. I researched so many gym so I could go while here. I found Iron Grind as they do day passes! I came in today and the manager was so nice and helped me through the steps to get a pass and explained the gym! While working out I was able to record and ise equipment in ways to make it easier for my knee as it was shattered that most gyms won’t allow me to do. The gym patrons were also extremely friendly and helpful and there is all the equipment you could need. I finisjed my work out with a protein shake that was absolutely amazing! At first, I thought Iron Grind was a good gym, but man was I wrong. I've been a member for 5 days so far after signing up with Luis at the front desk and I was under the impression that I did not have a contract, I was on a month to month basis and I could cancel any time I wanted as long as I let the gym know 30 days in advance. Cool, everything was set and I had my gym membership. I was not fully comfortable in the gym since it was smaller with older looking equipment and there was only one cleaning station with towels and spray bottles, which was highly inconvenient, especially at a place where so many germs are present. I ended up finding a much better deal for a bigger gym with much newer equipment and more ammenities for a better monthly price, so I decided I would cancel my membership at IronGrind since I didn't have any contract. I tried to go in person and the same person who signed me up, Luis, happened to be working at the front desk again. I let him know that I wanted to cancel out my membership and he didn't even ask any questions or anything and just stated he was not the manager and couldn't cancel out my membership at all, he let me know I would need to send an email to the email on my membership app providing account information to easily look up my account and it would be cancelled out by the manager in the morning. Fast forward to a little later, not even an hour after sending the cancellation email, and I received an email for a receipt from IronGrind, with a brand new charge for the monthly membership price and a comment stating it was a cancellation fee for no 30 days notice. Keep in mind this was just a receipt, no mention of a membership cancellation, no membership cancellation agreement document, or even a cancellation number was provided. I was never informed of a cancellation fee both when I signed up or when I went in person to try and cancel out. This is definitely some shady business practices and I am ready to dispute this with my bank and file a complaint with the BBB and any other avenues I can take to file a complaint against them. This is absolutely criminal and borderline theft since I was never informed of such a charge, I would highly advise against getting a membership here, you're much better off taking advantage of a Black Friday deal with Chuze Fitness or Gold's Gym with $1 down and lower monthly dues than IronGrind, not to mention more ammenities, more space, and friendlier staff. DO NOT give your money to IronGrind, it is NOT worth it and you can get a much more fulfilling and better membership elsewhere.

gym seems good from an outside view but after being here for awhile it’s clear to see how bad managed it is. Most equipment is sub par or falling apart with no new equipment coming soon. they are trying to say they are making changes but the only change they have done is spray paint the weights black that literally started peeling the next day leaving black marks on my hands. from the outrageous price for such a small gym it’s not worth it to come here most of the time the workers seem to be micromanaged on everything and tired of just being here. they say they give 10 percent off everything in their juice bar buts all overpriced that you’re still paying over retail even with the discount. I hope they start making real change real soon but i honestly doubt it. prove me wrong.

Terrible customer service. Employees seem annoyed when you ask them questions, even if you do it nicely. If you don't want to be there, get into another line of work. Gym is always packed. I went for a day and immediately walked out after 20 minutes. My fault for jumping the gun, but I didn't receive a tour of the facility or anything. I tried canceling the membership because it was not what I expected. This gym is for a certain clientele and may not be for everybody, and that is okay. However, when I kindly requested a refund (since I was only there for a day and didn't see the point in staying the month) they flat-out refused in a condescending manner. It’s impressive if the response to “change my review back” (4 stars, prior to any conflict), is requested by the owner considering it’s impossible to get a hold of him otherwise. I’ll elaborate as to the decline in rating. I got charged twice one month for two memberships. To my best judgement, I must have had over 30 conversations via phone (that is, before, I called 5 days straight without being lucky enough for anyone to answer) AND in person pleading to get my money back. Every request to have someone call me back.. that was acknowledged.. never even came close to happening. 28 days later I was refund. I was told multiple times I already was, which surely was not the case. Emails sent, no reply. Any sort of effective communication is like pulling teeth with this business, leading me to obviously cancel a membership. After cancellation, I got an email saying that I was re-signed up for a new membership for the next month. Can’t win. Appreciate the few staff that did help me through, though! Know y’all can only do so much. It’s a shame because this gym is a great environment otherwise. By the looks of other negative reviews, seems better responsiveness would solve a lot of problems.

Great gym and friendly staff! I've been a member for about a year now and very impressed with the upgrades to the gym. New power racks, heavy duty barbells (to include specialty barbells for Powerlifting), new plates standard & metric system, and well maintained machines! Great value!

Ordered from their website for their gym clothing, stated if you order that day it would be ready to ship that evening. Didn’t receive a confirmation that it was shipped for a couple days so I reached out a couple days later.
Emailed me back and Stated my order will be fulfilled that day&shipped. Received another email later that day saying it was going to take 2-3 weeks & they would send a free item for the long wait.
So I waited, I emailed again after three weeks and wasn’t getting a response. I waited & ended up having to contact their Instagram account. Ended up switching an item because it was still back ordered.
Finally received my items today, no free item either. I didn’t appreciate the run around with my order. The online customer service wasn’t the best dealing with the issue.

I Called last week to get a qoute"for a personal trainer. Went online to get a call from a personal trainer have been calling for the past days everyday. They take a message but no one ever calls back.Not even the personal trainer selected on their website.

Had to call several times a day in order to get someone to answer the line.

Although smaller than big brand name gyms, this is a good classic iron-weight-style gym (indoor and outdoor) with so much variety in equipment. The staff is great, friendly, and leave you to your workout.

Some things need improvement, like better barbell clips, new barbells (some are bent), and their outdoor equipment seems a little neglected. Also the shared community towel wipes is kinda a gross idea?

Parking lot fits only few cars big dealbreaker. Parking lot has everything to do with your services. I saw guys walking a block to get to gym. I cant work out worried about someone screwing with my car.

By all means if your a non mask wearer this is the place to be if your that great citizen that cares about others and respect others this place is not for you. I understand that there is no mask mandate in Texas but the business establishment has the right to enforce it this comes to show if the business cares about its members or thier wallets. Besides that the staff is very friendly they answer the phone a little rude but once they know your serious about joining the attitude changes, they carry meal preps , attire all under one roof its very convenient, I was going to join being that this is the only gym in el paso that has an outside gym so I'm told, but defeats the purpose since you still have to go through the gym where there is poor ventilation and people not respecting other people social distancing. Gym equipment is up to date very cool gym im pretty sure alot more would join if they changed thier mask issue at least that was the only issue for me . Everything else was great 👍

So far so good. It's a little more than I'd like to pay for a gym membership but it's worth it. It's a smaller gym but there's a lot packed into it. They even have aome specialty equipment that you rarely come across. People who workout there have good gym etiquette and the staff is friendly. Can't complain.

Great gym, it's super clean plus there always adding new gym equipment. There open hours are great as well. You can arrive early in the morning before anyone else is awake. Staff and trainers are friendly and helpful as well.

I visited this gym from out of town and was only supposed to be charged for a day pass which is $10. I paid with my card and never had to sign anything or get asked if I wanted a receipt. The next day I checked my account and the guy charged me $50.83. I went in and the staff member working was nice and got ahold of the owner and gave me his number. He said the owner would get it taken care of within the next few days. It’s now been almost a month and I tried calling again and still haven’t heard anything back, I also texted the owner and no response. So now I am out $40.83.
