Had a blast working with coach Wes, very professional individual, and his attention to detail is amazing, he not only helps you become a better boxer, but he also helps you getting into great shape. If you are looking to join a boxing gym, or want to have private lessons, coach Wes is the guy, he will work on a schedule with you and get you sorted out. Wes and Tanya are world class trainers. As a former Division 1 wrestler (OSU) and a US Army Infantry Officer, I have never had the opportunity to train under someone this knowledgeable. Wes helped me rehab my torn rotator cuff to avoid surgery. Then, he helped me lose 16% body fat and drop 35 lbs.
Wes also trains my 12 yr old son twice a week. My son has increased his vertical, doubled his explosive power in baseball, and gained a ton of confidence.
Wes and Tanya changed my life, but more importantly, my sons. Thank you.

I can't say enough good things about Tanya as my personal trainer and nutritional coach. After battling breast cancer, I thought my workout days were over. Now, just a couple of months later, I'm lifting weights like a boss, working out, and eating well – all thanks to her! She's patient, understanding, and really listens to me and my body (even when I don't). I've made incredible progress in mobility/flexibility (yes..I know there is a difference now!), strength, and balance since I started working with her. She's also funny, easy to get along with, and incredibly knowledgeable about food and impact on metabolism. This journey has transformed my entire perspective on my body and life. I initially thought we will dive into my eating routine, weight charts, clothing size, and exercise routine, all stuff I knew but I need it a coach, a start.
Little did I know that Tanya will come into my pantry, refrigerator, count my sleep hours and BM, and keep a calendar on my monthly periods.

Coach Wes is an excellent coach and he takes his time with all levels of experience. Classes are a good mix of ages and skill levels. I started attending with my teenage daughter after she expressed interest in boxing. For me, after being out of combat sports for 20ish years (and it shows) it’s been a fun ride with some good sweating. This has been a great place to restart for me and great location for her to begin learning. Highly recommend this gym.
The last item I will add is the amount of classes you have an option to attend also makes this a great deal.

Let me tell you about my experience at Alpha Family Fitness. First off I was very reluctant to go the first time. I am very out of shape and was afraid I would be embarrassed. Tanya has been amazing from day 1. She encourages me and helps me be successful She has designed a program specific for me. Never once have I felt put down or embarrassed. I am already feeling better physically and mentally. I highly encourage you to give them a try. Age is not a factor. I am by far the oldest person there.

It was a super great experience to train at Alpha Family Fitness! Cody is super dynamic when it comes to instructing. I have been working with Coach Wes for over two years and have enjoyed every minute of strength and conditioning. I have seen my strength grow over the last few years and can definitely see the results. I had initially joined due to several injuries playing sports but have continued since the workout is always challenging but definitely rewarding when I see what I've accomplished. He's also good for a laugh or two during the workout.

This is a great program. No matter what your age. shape, strength, and/or weakness are, this program is here to help. Coach Tanya and Coach Wes are invested in each individual person. They modify where needed but push you to reach higher. The coaches are patient and want you to feel better and get better. Each time I finish a class, I leave feeling productive, stronger and better in general. I can not say enough about Tanya/Wes and this program. I highly recommend anyone to Alpha Family Fitness.

Great boxing gym.. I have been going here with my son and niece for past few months and everyone really enjoy going here. Coach Wes has lot of knowledge about boxing and likes to work with every person with different skill set and especially with young kids. Alpha Family fitness is great all around. My entire family goes to them to work out. We also do the Wylie boxing gym as well. Coach Wes is prob the best fitness coach in town and the gym has every piece of equipment you could think of. so if you have back problems or knee problems they have equipment to get you through the workout to build up to doing body weight and more. We’ve been looking for a community like Alpha Family Fitness for some time now. They have it all. Top notch coaches, great work outs, amazing strength training equipment and more.
My son started with private boxing lessons and has requested to continue with group lessons. This is a teenager who has really gotten out of his shell and I believe Coach Wes is a major reason why. Coach Wes has shown up for my son like no other coach has and I appreciate whole heartedly the time, patience and encouragements Coach Wes has shown to my teenager. Not to mention all those water breaks!

I’m so glad we found this gym for our 9 year old daughter. She has been attending the boxing classes for almost one year, she loves it and is always looking forward to the next class.

I did a nutrition program with Tanya. She has so many tools in her tool belt to help you achieve your goals and her knowledge on the mechanics of the body is out of this world. I also started working out with Wes and in 3 months I have seen great gains in not only my strength but my confidence as well. I started with Alpha to increase my energy and decrease the daily debilitating joint pain I had been experiencing. In these 3 months my energy has skyrocketed and my pain level is near 0. I am truly grateful for Alpha.

Last couple of months I had the pleasure of working Smith nutritional coach Tanya. She is AMAZING! Not only have I reached my weight goals, but I have learned so much about food and nutrition in general. She has educational videos next to the weekly or bi-weekly calls, so you can continue your journey in your own time. She makes meal plans, and has you set up for the week. And she has great suggestions about different products you could buy in store or switch out to reach your goals. It is educational, fun and convenient! She is a true professional and I would recommend her to everyone who wants to learn more about food or make dietary changes in their lives!

This gym has been one of our best finds since moving to Wylie a couple years ago. Thoughtfully planned, challenging workouts, new facility and equipment and an awesome and varied community of people just trying to get better. My wife and I love working out in the mornings here before work, and this this is one of the few places that I know which offer classes early enough to work with our schedule. Coach Wes and Tanya are both great, and definitely keep us all motivated 🥵💪🏽. The program provides access to tools which track your progress and goals, and even provides demonstrations of new/advanced exercises.

Glad I didn’t sign up here. Had a brief conversation with Coach Wes. I’ve been in the fitness industry for 10 years, and he is definitely a coach that enjoys being rude. There is a clientele for that. If that’s the kind of trainer you are looking for, this is your place.
Wes, I’m fine not parking there. I was not aware of the parking situation which is why I suggested signs, and as great as emails are I’m not perfect and I don’t see them all. My issue is the way you addressed the situation could have been handled in a better manner. Had you not been immediately overly hostile about a parking space, I still would be considering joining your gym. Unfortunately, if this is how worked up you get with one mom who missed an email, I really don’t want to know you further.

Contrary to the comments left by the poster on May 3rd 2023, my experience and interactions with Coach Wes and Tanya have never been anything other than PROFESSIONAL, POSITIVE, EDUCATIONAL, and MOTIVATING. It is been a month since I have my 14 year old trained with coach Wes, he enjoys the training a lot and I have to say the whole experience is beyond my expectation. Alpha Family Fitness has been such a great experience. I really like the team environment. It has been so helpful to speak to members that have been on the same health and lifestyle journey; their insights and advice compliment the consistency and diligence of the training sessions.
It is encouraging to see my progress through the tracking technology they offer. Exercises that once seemed complicated have become second nature and at the end of every workout; a real sense of accomplishment.
One of my favorite things to do is walk in and look up at the board only to think to myself, "There's no way I can do that" and yet within the hour; it gets done.
The satisfaction and sense of accomplishment granted by their workouts is something you can't put in a pill or read in a book.
