This is the best gym in Dallas if you want to make real changes to your body. Lifting weights and conditioning at Alpha has been life changing. I look better, feel better, perform better at sports. I've learned that lifting is key for a long healthy life, and every workout has built in injury prevention maneuvers. Since joining Alpha, I have not had the chronic backpain I used to experience daily.

I had never weight lifted prior to Alpha and had yet to find a workout routine or class that I found engaging enough to stick with. The team at Alpha is very attentive and taught me how to lift. Weight training has been the biggest unlock! I've been extremely satisfied with my results and am visibly stronger. I've been attending Alpha classes for over a year now which is the longest I've stuck with any gym. The coaches and other clients make the gym a true community, helping fuel my retainment as a client. I would recommend to anyone to test Alpha for at least a month and I'm sure you'll see positive results that will make you want to stick around longer. :)

I love being a part of this gym! As a runner and nurse I joined Alpha Strength and Conditioning for cross training and to prevent injuries at work. I was intimidated by the anticipation of lifting weights, but all the trainers made me feel very comfortable. Their goal is always safety and proper form. Joining Alpha Strength and Conditioning has improved my running and made moving patients easier and pain-free.

STRONGLY RECOMMEND!!! By far the best and most professional gym in DFW. I played collegiate athletics and tried different gyms in the past to help accomplish my fitness goals. None came close to Alpha. If you want a similar experience to a personal trainer but not willing to spend the money on one, then Alpha is the way to go. They don’t focus on HIIT or CrossFit style workouts, they do holistic body strength and conditioning and track invidual progress for each member. The small group classes vary between 2-12 max people per class and they don’t cancel a class if only one shows up or signs up. The trainers are all former collegiate strength and conditioning coaches that worked with former or current athletes of all ages and also worked with people from different backgrounds. They also pay attention to injuries or individual strengths or mobility weaknesses and offer alternate exercises to address those.

Alpha has been a great addition to my wife’s and mine routine! Their online program has allowed us to find consistency in our workout routine leading to great results! Coach EP caters the program to your goals and needs so you don’t have to worry about not having x/y equipment. This month marks the one-year anniversary since joining Alpha. I was previously on all sorts of group exercises and online programs through the pandemic accruing injuries and having to stop training for weeks for recovery. In the meantime, I was also plateauing on my progress. Evan’s coaching is top notch. The work outs are design to push for strength, flexibility, and endurance. He pushes you but at the same time is conscious of your own fitness level to make tweaks accordingly.

Coming from a land of competitive crossfit, I am always a little skeptical of new gyms. The alpha project met and surpassed my expectations. The individual testing and performance monitoring gives members individual programming with weight lifting so that you are always working within your own limits, but pushing yourself to the maximum. The small class size allows the coaches to pay special attention to form, making sure you are doing the exercises correctly, and prevent injury. The group setting allows for friendly competition, but not so much that it is intimidating. Because all the exercises are based on you and improving yourself, this gym is appropriate for all fitness levels. Beginners and advanced athletes will both be pushed to improve, and the excellent coaches are able to give individual attention to all members in the class. I would highly recommend this gym to everyone in the Dallas area!

I have been the biggest fan of the Alpha Project for several years. Unfortunately that has changed. The management has made decisions based on their marketing advisors that I don't agree with. The management has forgone customer service and client relationships for the sake of new client growth.

I can no longer advise people to come to this gym.

Original Review:

I have been an active client of The Alpha Project for almost two years now.

I will first say that this is not your every day gym or Boot Camp class. I work really long hours - 60-70hrs/week almost every week. My work is physically demanding and if I don't have a really impactful and regular workout - my work and ultimately my health is affected directly.

I didn't join the gym with any intentions other than getting a good workout on a regular basis. What my time with the Alpha project has morphed into is I want to take better care of myself. I want to eat better and cleaner. I want to sleep more regular hours. I want to cut the excess junk out of my life.

There are many different levels of clients working out at The Alpha Project - the genius of Rob Lord is he tailors the work load effectively to the point where everyone has the ability to keep up and get the most out of their hour.

If you want to get a good workout - join
If you want to improve your health - join
If you want to get leaner and stronger male or female - join

It would be hard to go back to a regular gym after you experience the difference.

I started training with Rob Lord in 2008. The improvements in strength, endurance, energy and balance are noticeable after just two weeks of three time per week training. Working out with a small group insures that Rob is constantly paying attention to your form and the proper amount of weight for your condition.

Unfortunately I've had to interrupt training on two different occasions due to orthopedic surgery caused by skiing injuries. Both times Rob assisted in rehabilitation and was sensitive to my limitations until I was able to fully "come back" Then there were "no more excuses!"

The Alpha Project program works better than any personal training program I've ever participated in.

Wow what a different gym. Its tough t to find a personal trainer who does more than just some cookie cutter workout. Rob sits down with a calculator and has the exact weight for each person, the exact reps, and then you have a crew your working with to push yourself. Mad sick.
