This business is so freaking annoying!. They had a raffle booth enticing people to sign up. I had left my information, because my daughter was interested. However, she twisted her ankle and I wasn't able to put her in karate. They have been calling me for over a year. Have been at the studio since before covid and we cant say enough about the teachers and the program. It is a nice balance of martial art skills and life skills. Our oldest struggles with focusing and they have found strategies to keep him engaged and progressing through his belts. We appreciate their patience and investment in our kids so much. My wife and I enrolled my son into the ABK program, almost two years ago. FYI: he is an extremely hyper child who would often not be able to focus on any particular thing for more than a few seconds, so much so that it was very hard for him to sit still and to listen to his teachers at school. So when we signed him up, one of the first things we were asked was: what were some goals that we were hoping for him to develop. We wanted him to learn some discipline, respect for others, and how to be a good leader.

My wife and I, noticed a difference after about two maybe three weeks. He was showing proper courtesy and respect to not just us and his teachers, but to other people children and adults. His focus and self-discipline in school increased so much, that his teachers asked us in a parent-teacher conference what we were doing at home to instill these things in our son.

After after his first semester since joining the ABK family, his grades went from a B average to an A+ average. His teachers stated in his report card that he became a leader in his study groups at his school. This has not changed since.

Looking back these last two years, I have to say that there was no way that I could have predicted this positive impact that the ABK program has had with my son. I do have to credit the martial arts training program, the patience from his karate instructors, as well as the leadership curriculum that is taught in every single class. The program in of itself is easy for the kids to pick up quickly, but the lessons that he learned is something that he's going to carry with him far into adulthood.

If I have to rate it honestly I would say overall it's definitely 5 out of 5 stars.

The staff is extremely friendly, patient, and supportive so I would rate them, 5 out of 5 stars.

Last note: The overall community among the karate parents is very supportive of both the children, as well as fellow parents.

I have not participated in the adult classes, but I know from other people who have taken these classes that it is a very solid program and worth looking into.

I've been with this ABK Martial Arts since I was a child and still continue to be with this studio well into my adulthood. The staff is friendly, courteous and dedicated to the success of each child. The environment is welcoming and the classes are structured and well organized. I would definitely recommend AB Karate on Resler to any parent!

My daughter has been attending AB since she was in the first grade. I cannot express my gratitude to the instructors who have shaped her into a strong and independent girl. Her self-esteem was ZERO and she is now in student concil, in drama and a leader in her class. She had a break when we moved to Houston but as soon as we returned, first thing she asked was to return to AB. As soon as we walked into the building she was welcomed back with smiles and she is now well on her way to black belt!!! One of the best decisions I have made for her!!!
