I haven’t been to the gym in a long time but I just started again and I love adding it into my routine. Amped has a wide range of equipment and the aesthetic inside the facility is relaxing but also fun. The highlight of my experience would definitely be one of the staff. Her name is Darlene she is nice and funny. If I had trouble figuring out what to do she would help me and give me pointers. Just an overall great employee who actually cares and does her job amazingly.

This place is such a scam! They created duplicate accounts when I signed up Charged me $175 after 2 weeks of membership!! Then they told me they made a mistake and they would refund me half of that. While I’m waiting to get my refund which it has been over a month I get charged AGAIN for $85!!!!! I’m am beyond frustrated and disappointed.

The managers tell me that they can’t issue refunds there that you have to email them and they will reach out to corporate. After doing all that I have remained patient called them a month later and their excuse was “ the system has too many refunds to process so it’s taking longer than expected”

The place is nice but the customer service is non existent and the billing is a straight robbery.

We joined before the spring location officially opened and love working out here. Great equipment and several options that you don’t find in other gyms. HOWEVER, this place is a MESS. People seem to just leave their weight plates racked and other tools/equipment where it lies. The Gauntlet is always a disaster and the squat rack area is often a mess also with free weights laying around, etc. It’s a damn shame that people who workout there don’t clean up after themselves, but it seems the trainers standing around in between clients could/would tidy up. That being said, I’ve seen trainers finish working with a client in the gauntlet and also just leave the stuff they were using laying right where they finished. Most of the time a machine in the free weight area has to be unracked before it can even be used. This morning the Gauntlet was exceptionally a disaster as were the other areas I mentioned above… and 2 trainers were hanging out at the front chatting and looking at their phones.

The manager here today for my double cancellation was throwing hella shade at me for leaving this review while I was nothing but polite in my 5 minute interaction so I can get to work and be done. Ma’am, I didn’t mess up, your staff did. Working with the manager to correct the team’s mistake regarding my money shouldn’t feel bad.

I don’t know how anyone who has physically been to this gym is leaving good reviews.

I canceled my membership, in person, because you can not cancel online or over the phone and must cancel in person or via usps mail. So I canceled in person, signed a cancellation agreement, and they still didn’t cancel the membership.. now I need to go back up there to cancel again says their manager.

The cancellation experience is what made me want to write a review, but while I am here I shall write out my reasons for cancelling:

Cons:
- The gym is not clean
- Hardly any cleaning stations in the building
- They need a cleaning crew since the guests are not cleaning after themselves
- The sauna, main reason I joined after LA Fitness nearby had theirs shut down 2 years ago, goes up to maybe 105° and has been gross when I’ve gone during peak hours (after work weekdays 6-7pm)
- No one racks their weights correctly here so finding matching plates or kettlebells is annoying
- speaking of kettlebells, the handles are super smooth so if you don’t have good grip you probably will launch one across the room doing swings
- There is no enforcing the membership tiers so you can have the base membership and use everything for 10.00 less a month
- I tore my calf working out with one of their personal trainers too and the man tried to tell me I needed to have some water and stretch and I was telling him this isn’t a cramp, I felt a pop, etc and ended up walking out of the gym on it to go to a a sports doctor. That one is more on my body not holding up but the fact that the trainer told me to drink water and stretch a torn muscle that I told him I felt the infamous pop was a red flag for me.
- Finally, as stated at the start of this post, you can cancel and SIGN the cancellation and they still won’t cancel your membership and tell you “I don’t know what happened I wasn’t there” and treat you like a liar, check y’all’s cameras!
- That’s another thing that chapped me about amped, they got signs everywhere saying they will charge you 50.00 for doing ABC on cameras they won’t check lol
- Parking is bad here. The parking lot really isn’t that big so if you go during peak hours you gonna park kinda far

Pros:
- Pricing isn’t bad
- they do have higher weight vs other gyms in the area
- lots of squat racks and bench presses
- they do have a sauna for a non-50.00 gym even if it kinda sucks, they still have one

Overall, I can’t recommend this gym. I wanted to like it so bad because their marketing makes it seem great, but the staff and my con list really outweighed the pros. This not canceling after I signed a cancellation though is really the worst though because it feels like a scam now.

This place looks like it has all the bells and whistles but don’t be fooled. Terrible customer service. Claims to be a 24 hour gym but if you go late at night the app doesn’t work and it’s difficult to get the door unlocked. Then they’ll charge $50 to your account for “sneaking in” when you’re just using the gym that you are fully paying for. Absolutely ridiculous. Plenty of other gyms in the area that will value your business much more than this terrible establishment.

I joined Amped Fitness about a month ago and have been loving it so far. I started personal training with Kam Evans, and it’s honestly been my best coaching experience yet. We do one in-person session a week, and he also wrote a full program for my other solo workout days — all included in my training package (~$80/session; 1/week).

The top-tier gym membership alone is around $35/month, which feels very affordable for what you get—I got it because I like the buddy pass. The gym is spacious, never feels crowded, and has great flow. My favorite spot is the Sweat Pods where I can screencast workouts straight from my iPhone. Each Pod has a bike, weights, TV, and a mat— I love the privacy of it for the days I want to do an “at home” workout at the gym.

Rich, the new manager, is also fantastic — super friendly, knows members by name, and creates a welcoming vibe.

Overall, it’s been an awesome place to restart my wellness journey, and I’m excited to keep going.

If I could rate this gym zero stars, I would. Some of the staff are super rude and unprofessional. When I first signed up, I didn’t even get a tour or any explanation on how things worked. I paid for the revamped membership that included the cold sponge and other amenities, but nobody ever showed me how to use anything, so I had to figure it out on my own.

The equipment is always dirty, and when I decided to cancel my membership because of how unfair and rude they were, I was literally made fun of. When I tried to cancel, their system was down, so I couldn’t do it within the 30-day frame in their contract. Then they had the nerve to threaten to charge me another month because of that, even though it was their fault. I emailed them about it, and they basically said they can’t control their computers, no accountability at all.

On top of that, they charged me the annual fee twice, $89 twice, and still tried to charge me another $32. This place is ridiculous. The key pass for the door doesn’t even work half the time, so if you try to go early or late when no one’s there, you can’t even get in. There’s a reason they kept delaying their opening, nothing works in this place.

They just charged me 86 dollars? I haven’t even gone yet. When the app literally tells you to come in to complete the sign-up process. Then the contract they send you says they're not going to charge you until 2030? How can you charge someone when the first month is supposed to be $1, and you do not provide notice that I will be charged?
Additionally, the agreement you sent does not specify any dates for future charges, except for 2030. I also just reached out to them to cancel last week, but you didn’t have the customer service to tell me my charge date? The place is a joke. But already only being at a 4.2 should tell you something.

If I could give 0 stars I would. First off, their app NEVER works or is always messing up. The “buddy” pass is not really a buddy pass compared to other gyms I’ve gone to. The cancellation is so complicated for a gym that is not bound to “contract” we were told we need a manager to cancel and the manager is always conveniently on break or not there. Who even is in charge here???The only thing that’s decent in here are machines, that’s literally it but only because it’s new……not worth all this hassle. My son went there yesterday at 3:05 because he wanted to use a 3 day pass to try out the facility. The lady at the front desk told him he couldn’t do this after 3 pm. This is t noted anywhere online. He shared with me that he noticed her turn away another couple after him stating the same 3 pm cutoff. Today we tried to call and speak with a manager but the phone just rings until you are cutoff from the call with no one answering. He was excited to try a different gym, but this has caused him to reconsider staying at LA Fitness. I am sure management would want to know that perspective members are being turned away.

Love this location!! I’ve never been to a gym with a babe cave before and that’s my favorite part so far. Love the aesthetic (and the Halloween decorations) and it makes me want to keep coming back. Hannah was also super friendly and helpful. She made me feel very welcome. 🙌

By far this is the best gym I’ve been to. They have pre- sanitized wipes, they have a cardio theater, they have child care, they have a women zone, glute zone. Everything is organized and the lights are asthetic. The locker rooms have sauna and a huge mirror. Everything!! Restrooms are clean and with their mats. Love it here, definitely staying

Hannah and staff are great! The gym has a lot of areas for functional training, probably the most of any gym I’ve been to in the area. There are as well as 12 full power racks for great traditional lifting.

Parents, do not waste your time with this place. There are NO GUEST PASSES for anyone under the age of 18. So if you're used to working out with your kiddo, or if they go with you everywhere and work out with you on Klein ISD schools breaks (which is one whole week out of every month) you have to get a full gym membership for them which is a whopping $60 plus dollars for two people for the whole gym. By comparison EOS gym is $25 for everything in the gym and your teens get unlimited guest passes with parent. They really need to rethink their business model in this area where most people are parents and Klein ISD kids are out of school one week each month.

I moved here in July and signed up online and found out they weren’t even open. I needed a gym membership right away so I went to another gym (and love it) and messaged them literally dozens of times to cancel and they wouldn’t let me. They had something like 17 planned opening dates and all of them pushed back and I was never able to cancel until they opened (even though they have other locations that are open) and now that they are open, I went in to cancel and they still charged me even after I went in 4 times in person and emailed back and forth with different people who were supposedly the managers. This gym sucks, it is run by incompetent people and thieves.

Be very cautious of this place, after paying a dollar for a trial before they opened they charged a annual fee to cancel..after being told at time of signing up would not be charged...
