I love the location of this place because it's 5 minutes away from home.
The staff is very welcoming, especially Felicia and Angel, I like how attentive they are to their clients.
The gym feels spacious and clean every where and I like that there's enough gym equipment.
However, they dont have a plate rack, I feel odd having to get a plate from a random equipment.
I wish the mirror in front of the dumbbells ran all the way down to the floor as its hard to see my form as I work on squats.
The locker room also feel spacious, but it feels odd having the lockers right in front of the big mirror and entrance. It wouldve been better if the lockers weren't part of a busy flow section. More benches wouldve been convenient too. As for the showers, they're nice, spacious and clean. I like that the showers have doors like a restroom stall rather than it being curtains. A big plus for me is also a hook in the inside rather than the outside. I can bring my whole backpack inside and it doesnt get wet.
The sauna in the locker room is also a great plus, however, you can't control the temperature, and it isn't as hot. I would recommend cardio before the sauna to really feel it in the first 5 minutes.
Either way, I'm really loving this gym, it's my new favorite.

Update: they removed the hooks on the doors for the showers. I have to carefully hang my big back pack on the corner of the door.
They have plate racks now (:
The saunas feel a lot hotter now, unless someone turns it off, you have no control over that. Just gotta make sure its on before you step in and it'll start warming up. But besides that, it rarely happens.

No issues with the gym so far. They did however charge me two yearly memberships fees. When they were back n forth on the opening date I decided to upgrade my membership. I was assured I wouldn’t get charged twice by multiple team members but once the time came I was double charged. After going speaking with several managers it seems I won’t be getting back the $80. Very disappointing there is no customer service number to call.

Updated review:
One of my biggest pet peeves is hidden charges and charging a late fee asap. I went as a founding member for $1 the first month and signed up for the $15 a month plan. Then my account said I would owe $50 for the next month, which after talking to management, included the annual fee (which they charge after the first month). I agreed to $50 since it's just a 35 dollar annual fee. Then I was charged 70, which my bank rejected because that wasn't right and by the time I noticed in the morning, charged 85.25, because a late fee for not randomly giving Amped Fitness 70. I called management and ABC services but no one could help me. The hidden fees is just how Amped does business.

So I would say if you don't mind being charged extra and not being helped, keep at least over $100 in your account because they will charge you more than they say. Even after cancelling, I'm still getting charged $85.25 on that card every other day. Its one of those gyms so it's best to act accordingly with your bank/creditor information. Stay safe!

Hit or miss with the front desk staff, but there’s this few that love to face time while you are talking to them asking question and cuts you off and gives you the wrong info. They don’t know the plans, billing system is crap, I keep getting double charged and can’t fix it, Besides that the gym is fine. Wish they had different rotation of music

Update, it is very unfortunate I have to update my review to 1 star. Training management is just very upsetting. My trainer left, and my only way out is to buyout the contract or pay 50% as if its my fault he left. There is no reason for training manager to get upset for me wamting to read what im signing before hand. He keeps setting appointments as if i worked out with my trainer and I havent done so. This is absurd, seems I'm not the only one with an issue. Ive been very understanding of how I never had access at night for a little over month due to daily issues with the open app. Guys, please dont even dare to get a personal trainer at any amped fitness location. Soon I'll be canceling my gym membership as well..

Amp Westbury & Chimney Rock – Smaller Space, Solid Pace
⭐️⭐️⭐️½

Pros:
• Equipment is nicely spaced out—you’re not bumping into people.
• Plenty of cardio (about 20 treadmills, 7 stair climbers, 3 ellipticals, 2 recumbent bikes).
• Dumbbells go up to 125 lbs, plus 2 smith machines.
• Many machines include instructions showing which muscles they work and how to use them.
• Has a dry sauna.
• Music’s decent—hip hop, dance, not too loud.
• Usually not too crowded.

Cons:
• People don’t re-rack their weights, so it can look messy.
• Smaller location than other Amps.
• Parking’s okay now, but could get tight during busy times.

Full Review:
Amp Westbury and Chimney Rock are now open. It’s a smaller spot compared to other Amps, but it still gets the job done. The layout is good, with enough space between machines so you don’t feel cramped.

There’s plenty of cardio equipment, solid free weights, and a couple of smith machines. I like that many machines have details on what muscles they work and how to use them—helpful for beginners, even if not every machine has it. The music is a nice touch: upbeat without being too loud. Parking is okay for now, and it’s usually not overcrowded.

The main downside is the re-racking issue—lots of dumbbells and plates left scattered, which takes away from the otherwise clean feel.

Tips:
• Best to hit it during off-peak hours for a smoother workout.
• Headphones help you stay in the zone.
• Do everyone a favor—wipe down and re-rack your weights.

Smaller space, solid pace.

Before this location opened I signed up with promoters on S Post Oak rd and the next day I started contacting them by phone & email about cancellation due to my transportation is down right now & I planned on becoming a member once I am back reliable. I was told by a gentleman that I’m taken care of on my cancellation and through email so I forgot all about it. Now 2-3 months later I’m getting voicemails about membership & billing. I called the 833 number they left and they can’t cancel it so I called the exact location on chimney rock and they won’t cancel it over the phone I have to go in person to do it. It’s so frustrating because my transportation is down & I would like to keep my name good for a future membership as it looks like a super nice gym. However the taking care of me lie and then I couldn’t even get the help I need over the phone really changes my mind..

I didn’t realized how far it was i came on on Tuesday round 8:15 to cancel my membership nobody manger was there yet so the young lady said i could write a letter. I sent it off and 2days later i unlocked my card and they took the money 120 that included late fees . They was clearing trying to charge my card everyday

After realizing it’s a lot traffic and far from the house this gym wasn’t the best locations they are all far

Pros:
Excellent equipment selection with plenty of plate loaded and selectorized machines. Good variety of cable stacks, dumbbells over 100lbs, full size barbell racks, and lots of functional training options. Well-lit. Big, clean bathrooms, friendly staff, 24/7 access, private workout areas, sweat cinema, recovery area, and more.

Cons:
Cardio options are limited. Mostly bikes, stairmaster, and treadmills. That covers 95% of what people use, but it's not as specialized as some places. There needs to be a weight tree over by the plate loaded isolation machines (currently you have to "borrow" plates from the hip sleds). Also, while the lighting is very good, I wouldn't call it "influencer grade" - for example, the dumbbell area has a lot of front lighting (which is great for the dumbbells, but not as good for social media physique pictures).

One last safety note... The dedicated bench press area has no spotter arms or safeties. The benches DO have a place for spotters to stand, but nothing for a solo workout. There are other options if someone wants to go all out maximum with barbell bench by themselves: two Smith machines and 10 (yep, ten) full squat racks with spotter arms that can easily accommodate a bench. But inexperienced lifters may not realize this.

An easy 5 stars for the price, location, and amenities offered.

‼️Most of the five star reviews on this app are FAKE or from the employees themselves. I just recently visited the Gym September 4 till September 8 and the gym has been closed ever since. The reviews say that the trainers are good and listen to your goal, but the gym is CLOSED and has been CLOSED SINCE. They are contacting employees and managers to get with Google in order to remove honest bad reviews about the gym so they can have a high star rating. None of it is true. They also claim that they don’t have a annual fee but they do have a annual fee. It’s just not shown on their website.❗️

Bird brained pre sale workers, don’t bother going here. Two of the employees that I’ve spoken to from here about the gym were nothing but nice and polite guys that I met at the mall. I decided I would go in person to sign up and couldn’t get any actual proper help from any of the employees. I even planned on having my kid apply here for a job and sign up for a membership but after realizing how poorly ran their management is, I’ve decided it wouldn’t be a good idea

Convenient and affordable. Beats other smaller gyms local to the area. Good amenities. Transitioned from a dollar store, so still working on get exterior and getting it up to full aesthetics. This Westbury Amped Fitness gym/center is NOT OPERATIONAL. The worker’s claim it should open in a few weeks… Not sure how it has reviews when it’s clearly under construction transforming from an old 99 Cent Only Store to a workout spot.
