Its a great gym and they are renovating one side at the moment. My only real complaint regarding this gym is the light fixtures. Any time you have to do an exercise requiring you to look up the LED lights will almost blind you. If they put a diffuser or a different light working out would be more enjoyable.

I was a member of the Anytime Fitness at 860 E Renfro St in Burleson, TX for several years, but the pattern of declining conditions at this location over the past year has become unacceptable.

As of October 2025, essential amenities — including restrooms, showers, handwashing sinks, and the water fountain — have been completely unavailable for approximately two months due to an ongoing “renovation.” A large portion of the gym floor remains blocked off by plastic tarping, with no visible work taking place, no updates provided to members, and no posted timeline for completion.

In place of functioning indoor restrooms and running water, the only solution offered has been porta-potties in the parking lot — with no handwashing station. This is simply not an appropriate or sanitary setup for a gym environment, especially during Texas heat.

Tanning beds, which are included as part of the membership, have been out of service for nearly a year. Despite this, there has been no communication, adjustments to billing (refunds), or alternatives provided.

The water fountain has also been non-functional for over a year. It was replaced by a plastic jug and paper cups — clearly intended as a temporary fix, yet it remains the only option.

After trying to raise these concerns through appropriate channels, my membership was canceled without notice or a clear explanation. No apology, solutions, or follow-up was even offered.

This location no longer reflects the standards that Anytime Fitness is known for. There is a clear lack of transparency, accountability, and commitment to basic facility upkeep.

Unless major improvements are made, I would strongly recommend choosing another gym. At this point, this is simply a run-down facility that is largely being ignored with deferred maintenance.

In 2025 I’ve had 3 surgeries, one being on my cervical spine (c4-c7). I’ve had a membership for well over two years. I called to cancel my membership but the management made it almost impossible. My wife tried to go to the gym several times running home quickly from work and they were not on site, even during their business hours.
My wife finally caught the manager onsite and still had to struggle to get the account cancelled, rather than “put on hold” or other options.

Businesses want people, I get it. But at some point have some empathy, it would have gone a lot further. This mess took more than 2 weeks to handle, multiple calls, emails and trips. Even when I get better I will not be going back.

As part of my journey from Sacramento to Texas to lose 70 pounds, I stopped at my 37th gym in Burleson, Texas. The gym is an open space, clean and seems to emphasize arm strength. The cardio machines are all in good condition and face the front windows overlooking the parking lot. As a fitness newbie and guest, I came seeking leg workouts but felt the selection was limited compared to other set ups. This may only be because of my limited knowledge but I managed with three to four machines and weighted squats. The equipment is likely to attract serious lifters due to its focus on arm strength workouts. The absence of private showers, which is a hallmark feature for most Anytime Fitness locations is the only factor that prevents a five-star rating, making this still a solid clean and welcoming gym.

This is a fantastic little gym off the beaten path! The gym although smaller has great equipment for nearly every training need from beginner to advanced athletes. Rogue racks, bars, and bumper plates, precor machines, Dumbbells to 130lbs! Lifting chains I found very nice to use. All equipment was in working order with 0 out of order signs on anything. Good music, good gym temp, free Wi-Fi, clean restrooms. I got two workouts in here in the mornings while in town for work. Great place to grab workouts or be a member I'd imagine. The manager here is absolutely amazing. He helped me get my paid two day pass over the phone being an out of towner without issues. Worked with me to get me what I needed to get my workouts in at this nearby gym to our hotel. Very kind and customer focused GM for sure. I be the members here love the management here. I'd be a member here for sure if I was local.

Weights look nice. Women’s room has a lock, but the men’s room does not. Probably the first Anytime location I’ve ever seen trying to cut corners on costs. Since I would like my privacy, (this is the only reason I pay for anytime), I guess I’m a woman tonight. 💃🏻

I never leave a bad review, but sadly I have to today. This gym has ripped me off from trying to cancel and had issues getting them to cancel and now that I had my bank stop payments and tried cancelling again they want to charge me over a hundred bucks. This is the last message I get from them (I talked to the billing company & waived the late fees. They said the May payment was stopped and the Both Aprils payment and the late fee was returned per your request. That leaves your late balance payment of $102.92. As long as this is received before 6/14/23, it will cancel your membership in g - Brenda from Anytime Fitness) do not sign up for anytime fitness. They will only trap you and take your money. I will never ever recommend them!

Not the best ATF I've been to. If this was my home gym, I would cancel my membership immediately because where is my money going to? Surely not into the improvement (or cleanliness) of the facility. Wow, this place is DIRTY! I don't think anyone has ever cleaned the facility. None of the plates are organized; they're all pretty much just stacked on top of one another or tossed about in various places. There is literally only ONE set of 15 pound dumbbells...

The manager I think his last name was peña charged a friend of mine nearly 600$ in fine for things like no mask when half of the gym wasn’t wearing one. He was very ruth. These happened on 10/31/20. We had a boom box playing but nobody ever told us we could not have them, the manager Peña just came in a kicked us out.

Manager is “helpful” like the reviews say but I’m 100 percent sure it’s just a strategy to confuse you. I’m also pretty sure the manager just told some people to make review for him so he doesn’t seem so bad. Yes he’s helpful to rope you into the membership and contract. In the end they don’t care about you as a person and considering the 40 per month membership that’s ridiculous. When I tried to cancel the manager would just talk in circles and never answer my question. Eventually I figured out what he needed for me to cancel. But low and behold theres a problem with this paper work I provided. Ended up having to change banks because of this and personal reasons. I didn’t get a knock on my credit but I wouldn’t suggest doing what I did. Do yourself a favor go to planet fitness or 24 much more professional clear and cheaper. (Why the hell do I have to pay to lift some iron)

We've been members for years now and for the last couple months we feel like management doesn't want to take care of its facility anymore. The staff has been reduced to one person and they do no longer have a cleaning crew. For days you can find the same dirtiness in the bathroom and the equipment seems to only be cleaned by its member after use. I don't feel like it's fair to us, members, we are paying for a service and we are barely getting any. I have shared my concerns with the staff member and we are hoping the management will take action.

I am very disappointed in anytime fitness. I signed up thinking I can use any anytime fitness location anytime anywhere from the day that I started paying for it. It takes 30 Days before you can use any other locations which is very inconvenient. It just so happens that this location has the worst bathroom/shower situation. The bathrooms seem to be always dirty and there is no privacy. The curtain doesn’t even go across the whole shower. This town is very new and upcoming and this gym is not at all.
However that being said most every other location we’ve been too have been great.

I've been going here recently because it was a good gym but the disrespect I reveieved from one of the staff members on a Sunday was very unfortunate because my friend (who was looking for a gym membership) and I were training and had deadlifting sessions and bench workouts going on. When all of a sudden we got stopped and disrespected and got kicked out. We weren't slamming the weight or anything but pretty much felt like if I was in PLANET FITNESS! Never showing up to this place again. Once my contracts over I'm switching Gym memberships and heading to 24 or something way more professional. I would not recommend Anytime Fitness to a friend or family member.

The gym itself is fine and on par with the majority of Anytime fitness locations. It's one of the larger locations I've visited.

I'd go elsewhere for PT sessions.

When I tried contacting the staff to setup personal training sessions I hit a brick wall. After submitting my inquiry I received a quick response with some questions. I responded within a few hours to the initial questions and now 6 days later I haven't heard anything about setting up an initial consultation or anything. Just poor customer service with someone willing to spend hundreds of dollars per month for PT sessions.
