On my FitQuest70 journey to visit Anytime Fitness locations, I stopped at my 27th gym in Fredericksburg, Texas. The gym has a well-worn feel, with equipment showing signs of heavy use, but it remains functional. Most of the cardio machines face the windows which I prefer. A poster is shows that an Evolt 360 biometric scanner is available for fitness tracking and Fredericksburg T-shirts are sold for $15, adding a local touch. I didn’t work out during this visit but observed the space. The restroom is mostly clean, but the toilet paper dispenser needs a replacement, it shreds the paper and makes the floor feel messier than it should. The entry chairs are also quite worn and probably should be replaced. Despite the worn condition of the gym, I’ll still give it 3.5 because I like the cement floor, it matches the overall vibe of the gym.

We stopped in on our road trip and the owner was so friendly. The gym was clean, and it clearly had a strong sense of community! I'd definitely recommend it and would gladly join as a member if we lived nearby.

The square footage of this Anytime Fitness is a little small, but it has the right amount of machines that I like and usually I can go anytime and get an open treadmill. Amber is an amazing manager and really cares about her & really cares about the people coming to her workout studio.

We come here daily for the duration of our stay in Fredericksburg. The facilities are very clean, equipment modern and well maintained.

There are uni sex restrooms, a men's and a women's shower/change rooms. Again very clean.

All machines are clean. Patrons have been pleasant and don't even provide a second look at a chubby out of shape patron (that would be me). As for patrons, some seem to be regulars, others not so much. There are elderly (80s I would guess) to teenagers. Some work out on jeans and work boots, some in cowboy boots. Most just working out in typical gym attire.

They have weight machines, free weights, dumbbells, kettle bells, bands, balls, etc. There is a small mat area as well.

The employees are very pleasant. I can't comment on their coaching only because I've not used them. They do acknowledge you when you enter and greet you with a smile and salutation.

I am not a gym rat. My wife is a daily CrossFit attendee when we are home.

I really enjoy coming here.

Extremely accommodating! Came into town for work only for a couple of days. Offered a low price two day pass. I wouldn't be there until after regular business hours, so the were able to find a way to get me the key fob in order to have access early the next morning. Thank you so much!!!

It’s a smaller AF but they pack a lot in a small space and you can get a good workout. The AC was on the fritz but it was bareable. The shower water pressure SUCKS. Seriously this MUST be addressed. Other than that the club is clean.

Could be bigger, the High Intensity area is small. You’d have to go at your off times to really get in and do high intensity… lacks key functionality in some of the free weights for muscle isolation (decline bench) is an example… seems to have enough cardio equipment (treads)….. BUT it has showers and separate restrooms for both gender… overall good place to workout… I get my Boxing Heavy Bag Workout done there and that heavy bag is a real plus!

They need to put up a sign letting the clowns know they need to wear shirts in here. Been working out for 17 years and I have never seen dudes shirtless working out….and I’ve been to gyms all over the country. It’s weird lol 🤡

I've been to lots of Anytime Fitness locations since I travel for wk/family & I really like this one. Gym is clean and equipment is in good shape. Staff is friendly whenever I have had contact with them. I really enjoy my workouts there. Thanks!!

Meh. Very congested. You won’t have any privacy if you expect to take a shower here. Not like other anytime fitness.
*Here's a one year update. I changed my 3 star review down to 1. I go to literally over a hundred anytime fitness across country. And it's really sad to see this anytime fitness in my hometown, being the worst I've ever been to. I'll just pay the day pass at HCM from now on when I'm back in town.

24 hour access is great, staff is knowledgeable and always ready to help. Some equipment, specifically the power rack, could use either some maintenance or replacement, but it all functions accordingly. Over all, a great place for the graveyard shift to work out

Super unique layout, the entire time I was in the shower I wasn't sure if someone else would be joining me or not. In well over 200 AF locations now I've never seen anything quite like it. For what like two hundred bucks and a case of beer you could've split that shower into two separate stalls with locking doors but whatevs, if I didn't want the suspense of a shower visitor I should've showered at home.
The gym itself is very clean throughout, very nice color scheme, beautiful giant fan above circulating air, literally as much equipment as they could cram in there, everything I used worked great, really really liked the cable machine in the far corner (though pressed up tight against the leg press there was enough room to do any exercise on it). The bathroom had no cleaning supplies provided whatsoever to members, though it was clean. There was no bench in the bathroom to put your gym bag down on but there was a ton of empty unused space for a bench... (another unusual decision)
Overall, great gym thank you very much management!
