On my FitQuest70 journey from Sacramento to Texas to lose 70 pounds, I stopped at gym number 64, an Anytime Fitness in Garland, Texas, and it’s a vibrant, nearly five-star experience that I’d rate a 4.5 if I could, but I’ll round up to five despite some minor maintenance hiccups. This large, open gym was buzzing with locals, clearly a community favorite, and my 30-minute treadmill workout was solid in the spacious, lively environment. The shower room was mostly clean with good water pressure, though the bench was wobbly, the soap dispenser was cracked, and the sink seemed unsteady—small issues that slightly detracted from an otherwise fantastic setup. With a bit of maintenance, this gym would easily be a perfect five, but its energetic vibe and solid equipment make it a great spot for a workout in Garland!

I recently toured Anytime Fitness in the Garland area, and I had an amazing experience thanks to Tim, the manager. From the moment I arrived, Tim was welcoming, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He gave me a thorough tour of the facility, highlighting the clean and well-maintained equipment, as well as the variety of fitness options available.

Tim was patient and took the time to answer all of my questions about membership options and the gym’s amenities. His passion for creating a positive fitness environment truly stood out. It’s clear that he takes pride in ensuring members feel comfortable and supported in reaching their goals.

If you’re in the Garland area and looking for a great gym, I highly recommend Anytime Fitness—and be sure to ask for Tim for an exceptional tour experience!

I have visited this gym 3 times over the last year while visiting my family in Texas. All three times were terrible but this last interaction with the manager was unacceptable. I have a maiden name and married name and I had to check my classpass to see which i used in the app. The manager of this facility accused me of being a fraud if some sorts and told me "you can work out today, but next time don't come back because I've never had anyone not know their own name." Not only was this rude and unprofessional, it also feels extremely misogynistic because every woman who has been married, knows that it's very common to use both names (especially while going through a divorce but that's another story!)

I've also tried to Visit this gym Through ClassPass and was unable to access the gym at all because no manager was there. I should've learned my lesson then, but I decided to give them one more chance.

The manager at this location has a very bad attitude problem. If I had to guess, it has something to do with his self-esteem because his beard and hair have very BAD DYE jobs.

Signed up through ClassPass for 2 hours of gym time. Doors were locked when I arrived but I could see members inside, I attempted to call the facility 3 times and there was no response. I asked one of the members to let me inside so that I could use the gym for the time that I had paid for; he did not let me in and confirmed that there was no staff on site. I understand that it is a holiday but this should have been noted on the ClassPass schedule for this gym. Super frustrated that I wasted my time coming here.

Hello! Dawson V Jackson, Pleased to make all of your acquaintance. I have attended Anytime Fitness since 7th grade, and as I am now 18 years old the gym has developed since!
This gym is extremely private, especially at night, and as it is a smaller space, there is a large multitude of equipment! You have the advantage to pretty much do absolutely any work out super organically!
I love this gym with all my heart and my bestfriend & I come here every day now. A 6/5 stars from me!

I love this gym! The owner is super friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. I am a college athlete home for the summer, and it has the perfect equipment for all of my workout needs. On top of that, it is always clean and never too busy. I’m so glad I found this gym.

Although I couldn't make it in today, This place is the only spot I could go to every day of the week, and it's consistent. The weights are always racked, and the bathrooms, my second favorite place, are always clean and smelling fresh. From observation, the people are friendly, and the staff is helpful. Unfortunately, once I leave Texas this month, this is one of those places I will miss the most.

The thing about Anytime Fitness (this location and others) is that it is VERY CLEAN and secure. There are lots of cameras, you don't have to use an easily compromised lock inside the locker room and everyone scans in. It is smaller than other gyms but it has a good selection of equipment and I have never had issues with too many people being there.

Chris the manager there is a real jerk!

Our first time there.... Manager Chris rudely approached my wife questioning her membership (said he looked like she didnt belong...why, because she's asian and looks like a teenager?), when confronted he would not apologize, i told we would not go back, and Manager Chris told us we were not allowed back in the gym.

The entrance door has a negative sign stating $$$ penalties and that they would cancel memberships for not signing in a guest.

I even tried to shake his hand at the end just to settle the argument between Manager Chris and my wife... Manager Chris refused to shake my hand, but chris stated....
"Go get on your bus and get out of here".

I told him to have his owner contact me...and that he should not be in retail because he has no customer service skills!

OWNER.... for your employees actions, we are owed an apology.
if this manager was my employee i would fire Chris's of the world! Retail customer service is just not a fit for this individual.

Not a good way of treating someone. I cancelled my membership and when I asked them if there were any dues they did not had any answer. As I paid the month I was canceling. But after 7 months I revived a letter from
Collections agency that I owe them money. It’s just a shame I don’t mind paying them if there was anything left but sending them to collections and not calling me once is a cheap shot. I won’t recommend them at all to anyone.

This is a great small 24hour gym. It’s recently undergone a renovation and they’ve done a great job. All the gym standard equipment is well maintained, the staff is great, and the restrooms are well cleaned. It would be nice to have a small sauna but you can’t have everything. For the price, this is a great deal.

It's like Cheers except that you're not getting a stiff drink. Everyone knows your name and it makes you feel at home when you see your friends after you walk in the door. Facilities are super clean, always open, and the staff keeps you on your toes and the trainers are open to help anytime.

My first contract went fine with no issues (: However, when we signed up for a second, gift, 6 month contract @ $42.10 a month, it was done verbally with a signature on a tablet, signed by my son, when the six months were up, I was told that we were in a year contract. I could cancel for $150.00 or transfer the membership. With my son now in the service, and me not living by an Anytime fitness, a transfer would not help. I paid the $150 on a contract cancelation, I did not agree to, just to prove a point, I would have liked to transfer the membership to someone, but I wont do business with dishonest people, who wouldnt even offer to waive the fee when no paper or emailed contract was provided upon membership sign up and the membership is for an active service member who can no longer go because he is in training, Not to mention it was a 6 Month contract.... ): Not Cool....

I was visiting family from out of town and I needed a gym to workout at for the day. I went to the Anytime Fitness in Garland Texas on Firewheel. I was helped by Healy and Jordan they were both very nice, helpful and professional, definitely an asset to the gym and the Anytime Fitness Chain. The gym was clean and had a welcoming feel. The Best Gym In Garland!! NO question. If you looking to go to a gym to workout and get out this is the place. Am workouts are quiet and sometimes it's just you working out with no other members if you get there early. I really love how it's a small gym not overcrowded and most gyms is people taking selfies and hogging the gym equipment. not this gym you get in get out and the staff or very friendly and helpful. Cleanest anytime fitness around. Staff is great and really do care about members. I will never go back to any of the big gyms where people go to hang out. It’s a good gym to get your workout done for sure. But I’m frustrated with the WiFi almost never working correctly or on a regular basis it’s not working. I also really think having sanitary wipes instead of the bottle and towel would be helpful please. It’s $35 for this gym so I’m not sure if I’m asking for a lot and if I am I’m sorry.

This is my home gym but definitely one of the better Anytime fitness's around and I have been to over 80 different Anytimes around the nation due to my job requiring me to travel 90% of the year. I also like the fact that they have straight & easy bar barbells for the pre-weighted barbells.
Unique because of the black powder coated equipment and its usually only busy during 5-7pm as usual.
Staff is friendly and non invasive(respects your privacy) as I don't care to shoot the bird while I'm lifting weights. I come to lift not to talk you know, because physical fitness is what gyms are intended for.

I think I have finally found a gym that I want to make my regular! I feel comfortable to do my own workouts, even my stretches that I would normally do from home and I don't feel like I'm in competition like in some other gyms.
It's spacious enough to have all the right equipment but small enough not to be intimidating. The staff is very helpful and checked on me to make sure I didn't need anything and made sure I was using the machines correctly to get the workout I was needing. I'm definitely going here several times a week! :) Will recommend to my fellow workout buddies. :)
