Such a clean place. Not overcrowded, plenty equipment. Alma Hammel is such a great asset to your company,. Don't let her big muscles intimidate you! She has a heart of gold and a welcoming smile! I felt right at home as soon as she greeted me. Thank you for being there Alma. I had gone once before when a other employee was there and I wasn't convinced this was the place for me. I've got a lot to learn, I'm ready!

There is a new lady running the gym and she is a beef cake. Her name is Alma, I believe. She is friendly, motivational, and has made a noticeable difference in the cleanliness of the entire place. Thank you for the upgrade in personnel. You can tell when someone is passionate about what they do.

Absolutely love this Anytime Fitness in Kaufman, TX! The gym is always spotless and well-maintained, which makes working out here such a great experience. Huge shoutout to Raven, the manager — she goes above and beyond to keep everything clean. I’ve literally seen her wipe down every machine and even the dumbbells with care. You can tell she takes pride in the gym, and it really shows. Highly recommend this location to anyone serious about fitness and cleanliness!

I originally joined in October of 2021 and this was a great gym before it was sold. Clean with friendly staff. Then it became an afterthought, dirty with bad management. I cancelled my membership and had written approval from the former manager that my last payment would be 5/14/2025 but they hit my card for $62.80 on 6/24/2025. I was told three times by Natasha, the regional manager, that everything was in place for me to get a refund. That never happened and will not answer a phone call or respond to a voicemail. Very dishonest and disappointing.

My husband had a membership for a full year. For 6 months, half the machines were broken. He cancelled and they never completed his cancellation. They continued to charge us for the membership for several months, even though it wasn’t used and they were able to see his last use based on the key fob entrance. I have called and my husband has spoken in person and we haven’t heard anything. So frustrating!! The new manager mentioned this happened multiple times and still nothing has been done.

This place will double and triple charge you for months on end then make you have to jump through hoops just to cancel. Basically a ponzy scheme and a scam. It should be illegal to charge people their fees and illegal to make it so hard to cancel.

I originally joined this location in late 2022/early 2023. I had wonderful experiences with the tanning bed and showers. I had a baby in April 2024 and haven’t been using my account except a small handful of times. I attempted to go up during “office” hours in mid April 2025 and no one was there. I called multiple times and no one answered. I contacted the office via website “contact us” and received an email from Kaylon Smiley on 4/21/25 notifying me of the 30 days notice to cancel and my final payment being on 5/18/25. Imagine my surprise when I discovered I was charged on 6/18/25. I emailed the email address on the website 7/1/25 with the concern and disputed the charge with my bank. On 7/4/25 I received an email from the billing company about missing a payment. Then this morning 7/7/25 I received another email and a phone call from ABC Fitness billing. I tried to go up to the office today and no one was there. I have attempted to call 3 times during their office hours and there is no voicemail. It rings until it disconnects the call. The billing company cannot stop attempting to charge my account until the gym cancels my membership. I cannot make contact with the gym. My bank has now flagged the billing company and is monitoring my account for future charges.
Based on the amount of reviews with the same concern I would not make Kaufman Anytime Fitness your home gym.

Gym #48 is in Kaufman, Texas on my FitQuest70 journey from Sacramento to Texas. Although the room is labeled as having a restroom and shower, there is actually no shower available. The gym is on the smaller size with equipment packed closely together, but it does offer a variety of machines that are different from other gyms I have visited. The bathroom was not spotless but also not filthy, and overall, the gym looks and feels pretty clean. For these reasons, I give it a rating of four; based on my trip so far.

Closed my account and they documented it, they still billed me, went back and asked them why and they said it was not documented, I saw them write it down the first time, they wouldn’t refund me those charges. Owner is unreachable per the manager, manager isn’t running the establishment properly. Has been giving memberships for $100 for the year and making them pay through cash app.
Tried talking to their billing department and they kept referring back to the location. The location was no help giving contact information for the owner. Please do not spend your money here. Also equipment is out of date

Update Dec 2024; No more shower or viewing options on cardio. They swapped for 1 big tv that hasnt been on since it was installed. Needs more room since part of the floor plan houses purple caret area.
4 treadmills and 2 eliptical machines are often full. "Remodel" was adding partial wall and removing tanning bed. Hopefully, this location fixes.
New owner for a little while now, but same old staff, when they're in.

Easy access. Clean. Usually, machines are open.

Called 5 times during business hours to inquire if onepass thru UMR was accepted. After checking the website it confirmed this location was part of the program. I finally caught someone and site and was turned away. Do not recommend.

Owner is never at the gym. I had to spend months trying to get a key and only got one because her father happened to be there. Can't even cancel because the owner isn't there to fill out the paper work. Do not get stuck in a membership you can't get out of.

Does not answer the phone. Won’t help with anything that you may need. The equipment is missing parts. And half the time you can’t get in because the door lock doesn’t register. It’s crowded with equipment to the point the machines hit each other. And the all glass office where the front desk lady sits, the girl with a speech impediment sits in there with her friends and make jokes about the other people in the gym. This was the worst gym experience I have ever had. Truly traumatizing😔 your money is better spent down the road at Snaps gym. Better equipment, nicer employees, and a better price.

In addition, if you get a membership and decide you want to cancel, they tell you that they will cancel it and then proceeded to charge your account for months. After multiple attempts of getting this resolved, I’m now having to consult with a lawyer to see what my options are. This place has been nothing but a headache. Readers beware!

I tore my meniscus during 2022 and tried to cancel my membership until I finished rehab which was expected to take 6 months. The person on the phone refused to cancel when I explained my circumstances. I was able to make my way up there on crutches only to find no one there in the middle of the day on a Tuesday. Tried calling again and left two unreturned messages. Disputed with my bank and left another VM explaining they would be receiving no more payments from me around 2-3 months after I stopped going. Again no return call but 6 months later they filed against my credit report. Watch out

I would not give them your business. I emailed for the week trial. They set me up under an actual account. My key fob only worked the first time I went up there. I tried calling multiple times with no answer. I called corporate office and they said they fixed the key, they did not. I changed my card information so they would stop charging me for a service I wasn’t able to use. I ended up getting a membership somewhere else, and they reported negative on my credit.

I will never again be a member of this Anytime Fitness in Kaufman. I was a member for many years, but I wasn’t going so I decided to cancel my membership. I called the number & got Sherries voicemail. I left a message to cancel. This was in September. They charged my credit card for October, I called again. Same voicemail with Sherry’s voice. I finally reached someone at the club. She told me to come in person. I went in person & signed to cancel. They then charged me for November! My husband went to the club & tried to straighten it out. He was not a member. But they turned around & charged his card. This is a terrible way to do business. This is still not settled.

Everything about this gym is great. Variety with equipment. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, nice owner, and even the other members are very easy to work out around. Everyone keeps the gym clean. No weights laying around. Bathrooms are always clean. And I have gone at all different times of the day.

This place is the best. Sherre, the owner is the absolute best. She keeps the place absolutely spotless. The atmosphere is great and there is nothing but wonderful things to say about this gym. Great place to workout, plenty of machines and usually not jam packed. Has yoga mats and weight lifting belts so you won’t have to bring your own unless you want to. The owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming

Edit: tried to cancel my membership. Absolute headache. Sent an email in AUGUST about it, currently December at the time of this edit. Definitely was charged for 4 additional months I never used the gym. Went back to deliver the mandatory 30 day notice and my key fobs didn’t work. So you can take my money but can’t keep my fob active? Horrible customer service. Go find another gym. This one ain’t worth it
