Great selection of machine but could use some improvements aesthetically. However, as you walk in, you are welcome by a strong stench of sweat and urine odor. The place looks visibly clean but it smells so unsanitary. I've brought my husband 2x and he's noticed the bad odor each time. I went today and couldn't last longer than what I would prefer due to the urine smell and was beginning to get a headache. Manager is very professional and friendly. Yes, the place is rarely busy, maybe because there's a reason.

This gym! Is awesome! I was afraid that I wasn’t going to like this gym but I Love it! It has a bunch of machines! More than the anytime at League city. They have a weight room separated from all the other machines so you don’t have to be embarrassed or shy to do you arm or leg workouts. Recommend this gym!

Firstly we rarely put words to pen unless there is something exceptional or something awful. We travel throughout Canada and USA for 7 months a year and we have been to over 400 Anytime Fitness gyms. This gym is exceptional! Very comfortable and welcoming vestibule area with couch, table and loveseat, Perfect siting area for a pre or post workout drink or snack . Filtered water machine, full duel towel service, great hot showers, great music, great range of weights, weight machines and many pieces of cardio equipment all newer and in excellent working condition, multiple gender neutral showers and bathrooms, tanning booth and tanning bed. Throw in caring professional manager and staff and we found it to be pretty much right up close to or at the top of the 400 plus we have visited in the past 3 years. Exceptional!!

Don’t go when rush cycle is teaching a class or good luck finding a parking spot. The parking lot will be PACKED and the gym completely empty. Besides that and a few creepy old men that like to stare you down the whole time it’s just a basic small gym. Not great, not awful. Just have to figure out a good time to avoid creeps and lack of parking.

I’ve heard of issues with Anytime Fitness’ contracts, for me I pay annually and have never had any problems, after 12 months it automatically cancels unless you pay again.

I have left several messages and no return calls. Because nobody has returned my call, I decided to go in and try to get information. The manager was on the phone and put her finger up to give her a min....20 min later, I was still waiting amd I left of course. I own a business and this place is not managed right by any means. VERY DISAPPOINTED and will be going back to LA Fitness.

Terrible customer service. I've been trying to get a membership with this gym solely because I could have 24/7 access, which is important due to my crazy schedule. I called 10 times during business hours the past 3 days to ask if a staff member would be available for me to drive there and register (I didn't want to waste a trip if an employee was not available). Out of the 10 times I called the past few days, only once was the phone answered. The manager said they would not be staffed that same day, but they would have an employee available 10am-7pm the following two days to help me register.

Low and behold no one was available the following day. I called again and no one answered the phone. I waited until the next day. Again, nobody answered the phone. I thought to myself, well I'll just go see if someone is available. I decided to drive to the gym. I saw the manager bringing in towels and I told him I would like to register for a membership. He replied, "I'm only bringing in towels today and the office is closed. You can come back tomorrow."

Not only was I lied to about employees being available to help me register, but I even ran into the manager on a day he said I could register and he STILL wasn't able to help me.

This is the worst customer service at a gym I have ever seen, and the 24/7 access is NOT worth the hassle. I found a gym further from home and it is totally worth it to give a different gym my business. I was very displeased with the service, and I will never be returning to this anytime fitness.

If you value good service, there are better gym options out there.

Its a nice gym, I looked around. I went in to ask about membership, but the "manager" or person in the office was one the phone, which she put down and greeted me. She didn't hang up, just set the phone down. So as I was trying to ask about info, she kept glancing at it, assuming she was wanting to get back to get phone, she was giving me short answered. She never told me her name or asked for mine. Needless to say, I was in and out in about 5 minutes with information I could have just read off the website.

DO NOT trust anything that staff members tell you, and read all of the fine print.

Staff is hardly ever available. Multiple times I stopped by during office hours only to find that no one was there.

The staff member who handled my membership paperwork signed me up for a contract without asking me if I was even interested. I said that I actually didn't want the contract membership plan, but after voicing this, I was told it is "an open-ended" contract and that I "can cancel anytime [I] want to." This is a lie. It is only an open-ended contract AFTER THE FIRST YEAR. This information was intentionally withheld to deceive me and manipulate me into signing up for a plan that I didn't want.

It's obviously on me that I didn't read ALL of the fine print, so they've got my money now. But staff will lie to you and not own up to it. Please, take your money elsewhere. It's not worth dealing with these shady people.

I have memberships to many gyms, and I have to say this is the BEST gym in the Clear Lake area for me. This gym is consistently clean and well run. The temperature is always cool and appropriate. For the most part the weights are put away (racked up when not in use). They have a great fountain (water machine that allows you to drink from disposable cups). The bathrooms are also clean - very important!. They have enough machines and free weights for a good workout; although because of this location's size, you will not find as much variety in machines and free weights. However, the machines they have are modern and really allow one to use more muscles because of their unique independent pulley systems. Oh, best thing about this place, you can go anytime you want when there are no crowds. This gym is like having your personal gym at home but bigger. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. THE MANAGER IS A GREAT HUMAN BEING. And no, I don't work for this company.

As for the facility itself, it's probably one of the better Anytime fitness locations but trying to get a membership cancelled with this company as a whole is a joke!! It started with contacting the location I signed up at, the manager there is so unhelpful and unprofessional. He tells me I'll have to write a letter and mail it to him but I already missed the deadline and would be "charged again anyways". Once mailing the letter, I receive a call from the manager that he received my letter but unbeknownst to me, at anytime fitness they'll transfer your membership/information to another gym if you're using it more than where you signed up! I give the manager at this a location a call and he assured me it was cancelled. I was so appreciative to finally receive quality customer service. Well low and be hold they draft from my account AGAIN! Trying to get in touch with them is phone tag. Steer away!

Pros: Very close to my house, nice equipment, tanning, and water station

Cons: I might have a contract with AF, but what it is, is really anyone's guess. I can only assume it's a year which soon expires... I know they have two options, to sign a contract or to go month to month, all electronically transferred but one is more expensive...They are literally never there and calling them is like pulling teeth. They have a number on the door with some hours, but they are not ever there... and if you go to the website you can "see your contract details" but it just gives me an error message and asks me to call a 1-800 number... which I have never got a person. I'm not really looking to change it right now, I'll wait till the contract is up. I might cancel it in the future to move to a new gym. There are different gyms for less money and have more options, like a pool. Which I am really interested in. I pay almost $50 for the membership plus tanning, when I could pay $20 and go to BLAST in Webster and have a pool. I've been trying to call and find them for months to cancel the tanning option which is $15, because their beds never work for me. They told me a year ago they would start me on 5 minutes, and work me up the more I tanned, but they are never there. Literally the day I signed my contract last June is the last time I ever saw anyone there.
