Abel and J.R are two of the greatest people I’ve ever came across. I was at a low point in life when I started going to the gym in general. Meeting Abel and J.R helped me be more confident in myself as well as helping ensure I do lifts properly. Ladies we all know men can be weird and creeps, I have never gotten that vibe from either of them. They are there to help everyone with whatever goal they are there to accomplish. Each time I enter it smells amazing. There’s always cleaner even if wipes are not available they supply paper towels and sanitizing spray bottles. The atmosphere is always positive. Anytime Fitness is the perfect place to start your fitness journey. It’s not too big or too small, always clean, and has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere (they even light nice candles!). From day one, Abel greeted me with positivity and pushed me toward my goals.

Between mid-May and September 2nd, I lost over 20 pounds here. The environment never felt intimidating or crowded, and Abel was always available when needed. Press the button and start your journey—you won’t regret it!

I had an awesome experience checking out this gym! Able, one of the staff members, was super helpful. He gave me a tour, showed me around, and even hooked me up with a pass to try it out. The gym itself was really clean and never felt too crowded, which is a huge plus for me. I’m not much of a gym person but this Anytime Fitness helped me break out of my home routine while I was in Killeen on business. Never crowded and always clean, especially the bathrooms which seem to always be freshly mopped and sanitized. Management is accessible and happy to help with any questions. It’s unfortunate that I had to leave Anytime Fitness because of moving. I loved Anytime Fitness, especially this one! The manager takes care of the gym physically but some of the members make it a terrible place to workout and have peace. Theres one individual specifically that walks around the gym yelling and grunting during his workouts and management never says anything. Very distracting and I will be trying to find a new gym as he is there during my typical workout times.

Look, we've all been to the "Big Box" gyms in Killeen (if you live here). Unless you go between Midnight and 3am, you're workout is limited to EVERYTHING you can't use for it! Between the IFBB wannabe and the social media divas, the places are packed and you're a number. Not here.
Think of an old school gym feel with Crossfit-esque equipment. Short of going to a box, where else has an Assult Bike, GHD, SkiErg, and Assult Runners? This place is never packed, open 24/7, Lawrence and Abel are f'n amazing (owner and the guy that runs the gym) and the people are awesome that use the place. My son's go to this place as well as I. It's a second home.

I planned a family workout with the kids, so before going up to anytime fitness… I called them and asked if it was ok to bring a 10,16 yr olds to the gym and the first manager I spoke to said that it was ok. However, we were told a different story when we got there… they said that it was not ok to bring children because it was a liability thing. I understand the liability part, but I wish they explained that to their employees before they go telling others that it’s ok to bring kids and waste their time.

I've been at this gym for about a year now and just had to cancel due to the army moving me. The gym itself is extremely clean at all times with a wonderful on hand staff that is extremely helpful with anything you need. The sales association was nothing but friendly and welcoming every times I spoke with them. They even took the time to learn and remember my name so as to great me whenever they saw me. The cancelation process was extremely simple as well. Just go in and let them know you'd like to cancel and they took care of the rest. I have been at this gym for years and it is a great place to workout. I just canceled my membership (personal reasons) and it was the easiest process; just came in during normal business hours and asked to cancel and it was done in less than 5 minutes. For those who just cancel the debit payment, this is a contract so you HAVE to go in and cancel or physically speak to someone to cancel.

Terrible gym. If you are expecting to get the high package and workout and enjoy the amenities with your friend, you better think again. They are only able to workout with you. I canceled my membership because of this and was told because I already paid for the month that I would still have the rest of the month left to work out since I paid for it. Well, they shut me out of the system completely. If you want a place where you can work out with you friends and family and enjoy the amenties I would try TruFit or Crunch Fitness Gym in killeen.

The equipment is really in need of repair, the workout benches (If you can find them) are torn up, holes in the wall, dirty and not well maintained. Went to the gym to cancel, and gentleman told me to call care. I called care to cancel, and care told me to email support to cancel. I emailed support and they emailed me back and said I need to mail a letter to their main office to cancel. I do not own envelopes or postage, I am not 100. Nor should I have had multiple different ways to cancel offered if none of them work. I even asked for a supervisor, and that wasn’t an option. Horrible cancellation process!

This is a smaller gym and doesn't necessarily have all the equipment as up-to-date as bigger gyms.
That being said the equipment works and gets the job done.
Even when busy you very rarely have to wait for equipment there.
Able is one of the trainers there. He's awesome and I see him wiping down equipment and disinfecting surfaces ALL THE TIME. It's nice knowing it's as covid safe as possible there.

You can honestly tell that people put heart in their workouts at this gym. Ive been to 3 other AF centers in San Antonio and I can tell you that they don’t even have a fitness studio like this place does. Plenty of variety of equipment that I haven’t seen at other AF centers. I saw maybe one broken down equipment and some rubber starting to peel from the dumbbells, but it’s a great place where you can feel the energy of peoples workouts in.
The music is loud, but decent if you forgot your earbuds.

For the time I was a member it sort of served it’s purpose. Gym is very small, and equipment is mediocre and often in need of maintenance. What you read from other reviews about cancelling is true. I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau due to the membership fee being charged every month well after I cancelled my membership at the appropriate time. The fees I was charged several months out of not even using their facility was never refunded, nor did the manager even care. When I sat down with the manager in his office before I signed up, I told him about the negative reviews about cancelling and he assured me that it would never happened and those reviews were just from disgruntled members that didn’t appropriately cancel their membership. Please take these reviews seriously about cancelling, it is all true.

I decided to try this gym because it is closer to my house so I signed up online and it is on me that I didnt check it out first. Its on the small side, and even though crowds are minimal the major machines are hard to get at times. All of this is understandable, however, after 6 days of trying I tried to cancel my membership and the process is dreadful. I get that I signed a contract but in my opinion its horrible business practice to force unhappy customers to continue to pay for a membership they do not want. I dont even want any refunds or anything, its just not the gym for me with my personal issues of being in confined spaces. If you are confident in your product, you shouldnt feel a need to strongarm customers. For that reason, I do not recommend signing anything from this facility

Lawrence and Abel are fantastic people who care about your fitness, wellness, and Anytime Gym experience. I have been a member here for four years and it’s been nothing but exceptional. When I had to deploy they took care of me, when COVID hit they were supremely attentive in ensuring people were communicated with, when it was (sadly) time for me to move on they finished with personal communication to ensure my cancellation was processed.

If you join you are signing your life away on a never ending contract that so happens to refresh every month so you cant pull out half way...for example if your military and you get deployed or stationed somewhere with no anytime fitness around and you try to cancel just know that that you'll be going back and forth with them because you signed a contract which voided any type of cancellation so you'll be charged for not even using the gym...you think they would understand because your military but they do not they would rather have your money then to be understanding of the situation that your in

Pretty small gym but the guy that runs it is very friendly. Seems to know customers on a name basis. Gym has everything you need and there was no wait time when I went there for machines. I think it was because the gym was relatively empty. Only giving it a 4 because of its price ($35/m). I think it's a bit too much for the size of the gym and I'm sure if you go at a busy time it would be hard to get a good workout in.

The good thing is that they're open 24/7 and all you need if your gym key to enter after hours.

My mother wanted to sign up for this gym......so we went..got there at 120...no one was there to help us. The sign said "be back at 130" so we went to dollar tree next door. Came back at 132...,he's still not there. Another woman showed up as well to try an join. She knocked and a member answered. He was unsure where Louis (or something like that) was. We waited until 155 for him. Nothing. A guy came in and said he had been there 5 times to try and drop his membership as he'd moved to a gym closer to home. They make you drop in person. No one has been there any of those times, even coming at different times. The gym looks nice, equipment looks great. The concept is nice because it's locked and badge in only. However.....there needs to be staff available to sign up and let people go without waiting all day.if you sign says back at 130...be there. If you are going to post a number for guests to call someone should answer it. I'll stay at crunch

This gym is not a good gym...very small...no customer service...then I just found out they renewed my contract without my permission....I wanted out of my contract...callled to cancel and some how they started this 18 month contract all over again.....it is b.s..... how do you tell me I am going to be a member for 18 more months??? No one called or pulled me aside...they are scam artist....i would never recommend this gym to no one...I would not even want my dog to work out there....

Once they get your credit card info you will own them money for life. I have been trying to cancel for two month t you cant ever reach these people. Never go to this gym. Gave it one star cause it would not let me post this. Other wise i would not give them not even one star

Not a good experience, 3x the cost of other 24hr gyms and less services.

UPDATE 2019: I cancelled after my 2 year membership agreement. No one can tell me why my card keeps getting charged. They say there is a special way to cancel but each time I do it they say it's incorrect.

Never sign a gym membership contract. If the gym is what they advertise they will allow you to come and pay at your convenience. You will want to attend the gym for a class or other amenities.

Perfect service. I live in Harker Heights and tried to sign up at the anytime fitness there but it didn’t workout. I went there twice and never got answered for my questions. So I came here to see how is this one in Killeen. I already love it! Lawrence is very friendly and got my membership for all my family done less than 15 minutes. I’m so excited to start getting back to the gym 🤗

Love the fact that it's 24 hours. If I wanna go at 3 a.m. I can. 24 hours security camera even in the parking lot. I love watching TV when i'm on the Treadmill. It's very clean and conveniently located. There's a Gabba Green Store 3 doors down. Love this place

Do not Join this location, you cannot reach the staff through Email, Phone Number, or even going in to their location in person. Arrived to purchase a plan that could be used here and in okc. The sales office wouldn't be open for another 30 min so, I sat in my car and returned emails and waited. 15 minutes after the office was due to open I tried the door. It was still locked. There was a phone number and I called stating I was waiting and asked if there would be anyone in today. He rudely told me to continue waiting and someone would eventually come. I begrudgingly waited for15 more minutes no one came so I figured they didn't want my money and drove over to Golds gym.

I regret 100% signing up for this gym. Price is outrageous for a small gym.
Equipment was always damaged, never any workers in the building.
I’ve been paying since last year, I recently tried to enter the gym and my key is deactivated???
So they’ve been taking my money to have a useless plastic keychain? Never ever ever give these people a dime.
They never answer the phone to address problems.

Very difficult to get a hold of anyone who works there during business hours. Seems like they leave early if they think no one is going to realize they are gone or need assistance with anything. Staff was very rude, particularly One individual male. Very unprofessional. Was never given or offered a tour of the establishment upon registering. Spoken to in a rude way, and even hung up on by a staff member. Don’t sign up with them.

Had an 18 month contract that was not supposed to auto renew. Moved because I'm in the military and then got charged for 8 additional months. I tried calling and emailing for 3 months and when I finally spoke to someone they referred me to the financial company, which referred me back to the gym. The facility refused to issue any sort of refund because of the incorrect contract and because it would "come out of his personal account." Horrible customer service and honestly not that great of a facility.

Don't join anytime fitness! When you go to cancel your membership after completing your contract they will auto renew your contract even after you have given them notice that you do not want it renewed. They will continue to charging you. Then when you stop paying them for there fraudulently acquired contract they will send your account to collections and lower your credit score. Avoid them like the plague. If I cold give them less them one star I would.
