Gyms are on the small side but have most of everything a person needs for a full workout. I think it’s overpriced when Crunch and PF offer plans as low as 10-15$ a month compared to AF at 55$ a month. However, if you don’t like a large crowded gym and prefer an intimate setting then AF is good. NOW, previous lack of staff/lack of knowledgeable staff, unanswered calls have been an issue for my family as well as non-reimbursement for cancelled personal trainer appointments. I had to literally cancel my debit card because the staff employee was new and had not been trained on how to cancel a personal trainer or payment for said trainer. I was billed 135$ every two weeks for approx 2 months for canceled appointments! I didn’t even try to get a refund as it was such a hassle just to get the service canceled. Billing is done by another entity and they can’t help you at the local gym with billing. You can’t pay there nor update payment info there etc. You have to call a 1-800 and speak to a someone in another country. I will say new staff does seem better.

This gym sucks. I can’t cancel my membership unless I die. Machines are so close together you’re basically working out on top of someone. Too expensive for what they offer & don’t even get me started on the random $40 fees for “maintenance”. Even after all the fees they take out the gym doesn’t improve in any way. There’s also almost never any disinfectant wipes so most people wont clean machines after use. Don’t go to this gym.

It is a fraud, all the time they charge much more than the membership for many months they were taking 25 dollars from the membership and 45 dollars later because the automatic payment was not made on time and when you cancel even if you have moved you have to pay 50 dollars to cancel, be careful because that is not what they tell you when you sign the membership.

This gym is absolutely filthy. The floors are dirty, the bathrooms are disgusting, and it seems like they never clean anything. Trash is spilling out of trash cans they rarely empty. They hardly have any wipes available. On top of that, the equipment is old and falling apart. Many of the machines barely work, and the weights are rusty. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else!

I’ve been hitting up Anytime Fitness for a while now, and it’s so much better since the new staff came on board. Abby, the new manager, is awesome, super friendly and always ready to help. The whole place feels more welcoming, and the vibe is just great. The gym is way cleaner, and the equipment is in top shape. I started coming to this location a few months ago and I was met at the door by Abby! She is THE BEST! She always has a smile on her face and takes the time to get to know her clientele. I've been a memebr at this gym for years. It's a good community, everyone is friendly and encouraging to each other. They have group classes, personal training, and the gym is open 24/7, all year long. The gym has had alot of improvements recently - new A.C. units (thanks Aaron), equipment maintenance, cage racks,and a friendly new gym manager (welcome, Abby!). I'm excited for more changes (a peck deck?, better sound system?). I recommend this gym if you want to go somewhere not too crowded, and also not too empty. You're sure to get a good workout in.

Great place to get a great workout in. Gets a lil busy around 6-7pm but nothing like other gyms by far. Abby will get you set up and have you working out in no time. The past few years this particular gym was in steep decline yet I stayed because it offered the basic necessities I look for. Well I am proud to say this gym had recently underwent a management change and has done a 180 turn. The new managers Jack and Nina have come in to make this gym a JOY to exercise in. They have come in, scrubbed this place down to sparkling, rearranged the whole layout to make it dramatically more functional. They have even ADDED to this gym offering energy drinks, fun incentives, and overall true care for their facility and clients. When you walk in it FEELS clean, refreshing and like a place that you would want to enjoy your fitness journey. The only way this place could get better is if they did a poll for the top genres/music to play in the gym. Other than that- this is where you want to workout. THANK YOU NINA AND JACK! I recently signed up with Anytime Fitness at the Kyle location. I met and got a tour from Mr. Jack, the new manager. He is very passionate about continuing the improvements at his gym, which I can appreciate. They have new equipment and supplements on the way, very exciting. I also signed up with Ms. Nina, the personal trainer, who is not only creating a workout plan based off my goals but also creating a nutrition plan all for a very low and more than reasonable price. I have called repeatedly and gotten no answer so I tried sending emails via the website to inform the gym that I was not currently able to pay for gym membership. I asked to cancel. Then, after a few weeks I got an email from the “manager” that my account was overdue and that he hadn’t heard from me. I responded that I had sent multiple emails and that I could not pay for membership. The response was that my account would go to collections.

Anytime Fitness is basically a scam. The majority of members quit going within 3 months. This is true for all gyms. However Anytime Fitness locks you into a year no matter what. If you move they ask for a map proving there is no Anytime Fitness within 40 miles of your new address. They threaten to send your bill to collections. Imagine moving to another town, getting billed for 5 months you didn't use the gym. Trying to cancel for 4 months, then being threatened with collections.
A friend of mine wanted to cancel because he got pancreatic cancer. They told him they needed a letter from his physician with his diagnosis! Absolutely disgusting business practices. Read the horror stories yourself! 2 stars because if you do shift work and can only workout and odc hours, it's always open. Just know the contract is a deal with the devil.

If you're just starting your fitness journey then this place is ok but even then there are better options. This anytime is small and cramped with a lot of equipment broken or torn up. It's always pretty dirty and the humid locker room smell that permeates through the entire gym hits you as soon as you walk in. The bathroom and showers are unkept and dirty most of the time so if you want to shower here I'd advise against it. Not very crowded most of the time but when more than a handful of people are here goodluck grabbing a piece of equipment you want. I'm not really sure what the cost to join is because I use active&fit that you can opt into with USAA insurance. If it's more than $30 this anytime surely isn't worth it. I read the reviews about the headache of cancelling a membership here is so even more reason to look for somewhere else. Lastly, you can't sign up on the weekends because there is never anyone here at that time. Overall I don't recommend this anytime fitness unless you have no other option

Have come in several times to try and cancel and there is never anyone working. Really enjoyed the location in Bastrop but this location is disgusting and small. Not enough equipment and literally never gets cleaned. Just got charged AGAIN and all we wanna do is cancel which they make it impossible to do.

Back in 2015, had originally signed up with this location anytime fitness and it was an absolutely great place to work out.
Fast forward to 2019, I became a personal trainer for the Lockhart anytime fitness for 2 years and in the midst of that two years I had canceled (In what I WAS NOTIFIED was canceled) my agreement contract for anytime fitness Kyle by a manager going by the name of Aaron at the time, and to my surprise fast forwarding to 2021, I'm now receiving a balance for a contract that I was UNDERSTANDING to be cancelled. I now have a high balance Sitting on my credit report due to the fact that there was no communication,I was never notified that I had payments racking up on this account. It was clearly notified to me that as an employee, this agreement had been canceled.
This place has honestly shown to be so unprofessional when it comes to accounts and records of responsibility. I've tried to dispute but have had no luck. I'm extremely disappointed in the fact that I was an employee for this company for 2 years and brought in a very high revenue during the time, just to be treated as such. Such GREAT memories with this gym and company, but unfortunately I would not recommend coming to this place, or signing up for what seems to be a locked in trap and contract. I have been on the employment side and can tell you they DO NOT contact you multiple times to let you know you have a balance. Just a shame to have my opinion switch so drastically because of the lack of communication and care from this location.

Reading reviews about other people having trouble with cancellation. Basically, here is their cancellation policy not clearly outlined when you sign up in person. You can’t cancel because it’s no longer convenient for you and because you choose to sign up with another gym. You can’t cancel because you don’t want to be a part of their gym anymore. The only way you can cancel is if you move outside of a 25 mile radius from an anytime fitness location; you get deployed from the military; or have a medical note saying you cannot work out. Otherwise, you have to pay a years worth of membership fees up front or stay on their month to month plan and hope you don’t forget to cancel before the year ends. 🤷🏻‍♀️ So I guess I’m stuck with this month to month fee on a gym I won’t visit. If you’re looking into this location, read the fine print because they won’t clearly explain it to you. It’s not as simple as paying a cancellation fee or going into the gym to sign a paper to cancel or send a certified letter. Ask the questions, read the fine print. That was my mistake! Just wanted to make sure no one else falls into this.

Dirty sometimes but more bearable than the San Marcos location. The equipment here is not as good and is poorly organized. It gets overcrowded no matter what time you go. Sometimes there are no sanitizing wipes or hand sanitizer, but the staff and members here are usually friendly.

Here is the reason for poor communication. I cancelled my membership in 2017 with Ian Mader, I believe the manager at the time. My cancellation was never submitted. I reached out to ABC Financial , a third party billing service, informing them about my anytime fitness cancellation. ABC Financial removed my payment information so no payments could be made. I never received any billing notifications, never received a letter of cancellation, never had any idea I was still an active member of anytime fitness. I have been billed for 3 years for a total of $1100 and have never used this gym since 2017. ABC Financial then sold my debt to a debt collector Kingston Collections without notifying me a payment was due. Now I have a collections on my credit report due to poor communication. After reading your google reviews this seems to be an ongoing issue with customers. Poor communication, poor quality, not professional.

Today I noticed $250 is owed to a collection agency in Canada from this anytime fitness after I was told my account would be canceled. This gym is small with barely any equipment and they want to lock you into a membership cost that doesn't match the facilities quality. My advice would be to not join this gym at all and to join bluedge fitness across the street it's way better. Spare yourself the headache of membership cancellation and them telling lies to lock you in . ( owner response is just to make the club look good no refund or anything has been done. I paid the bill and will not return but wanted to warn others )

My contract was transferred to this facility without my permission despite me only using the facility maybe twice. It has been such a hassle to cancel my membership due to this. I was texted by Aaron about this and even sent emails to ABC financial and to this gym and they have still charged me for the last three months, despite having provided a 30 days written notice of cancellation. Never giving anytime my business again and definitely not giving this location my business.

Gym is completely disgusting. It looks as if it hasn't been cleaned in a year. With the shut down, you would think it would be spotless. I was visiting the area so tried it, thankfully my AF gym is not like this one. I will stick with cedar park and anderson mills location and when in kyle go to PF, The planet fitness in buda is tons cleaner .

Trash cans always overflowing, toilets and mirrors are often dirty, and I've just had poor experience after poor experience with 100% of the trainers here....from being stood up for a personal training appointment with no apology, to unprofessional responses to my questions about the terms of my contract. It's crazy to pay for something and be treated so badly. Beyond frustrated with my experience.

decent gym, but it's over-priced for what's available and its size. They never ever answer their phones, and they have no answering machine, so if you ever want to contact management, you have to walk in during work hours. Lastly, scheduled payments within 30 days of cancellation of a membership are mandatory. That means if you cancel on March 1st, they're still going to charge you on April 1st. So, be prepared to deal with money-grabbing management, and "unalterable" policies if you sign up here. Same as any gym, really.

I joined this gym while I was living in Kyle from 2016-2017. I went somewhat frequently but then discontinued to pursue my fitness at this location. I had signed a 2 year agreement that was to expire on 04/04/2019. Although I have not been at this gym in nearly 2 years, I continued to pay the monthly fees because I know the hassle it can be to cancel a gym contract. I had the hopes of riding out my 2 year agreement and that being the end of this money pit, however when I called to confirm I DID NOT want to roll into month to month agreements with the gym, the employee I spoke to informed me that I would need to 1) send a certified letter or 2) come into the gym to sign paperwork. Well...I lived 1.5 hours north of Kyle now, and have attempted to send a certified letter over the past month, without delivery because their was not an appropriate employee available. This morning I have tried to call 4 separate times without receiving an answer, additionally their mailbox is full and I have no option to otherwise hang up and try again later. The gym was not that bad, pretty decent equipment and general friendly staff from what I remember, but trying to cancel my membership has been the worst experience and waste of money.

UPDATE: Certified letter has yet again not been accepted and they have charged my account once more. This is absolutely ridiculous. They don't answer the phone, they don't accept certified mail, they can't even seem to reply to this review. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM.

I give anytime fitness @ kyle 5 stars! This place has all the components to a healthier lifestyle. The tunes are always on point and the weights themselves are always there, very organized. The staff is always friendly and willing to help with anything. Whether you need a spotter or some tips on a good work out program, Aaron and the staff is there to assist. Def recommend this gym to anyone in hays county. In the short time ive been there anytime fitness has improved my health and deminor. THANKS.
