I visited this gym early summer because it was close by. It was clean and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming! I loved what they had to offer their outdoor gym which has ropes to do as well as free weights! I enjoyed the quick work out area and it’s well maintained! Being accessible 24/7!is great to! I especially liked that they followed up with me but allowed me to figure out what would work out best for me. Great energy all around I look foward to this being my gym!

I have had a wonderful experience at this place. I’ve only been going to this location around a month or two, but I hope the next one will be as nice and the staff as helpful as this place has been. I travel for work and will be looking for an anytime fitness in the next city I make it to. This place has become my second home and I really hate to leave so soon. Had a coupon (from a fundraising booklet we bought from the Lindale cheerleaders) for a free two week membership at Anytime Fitness Lindale. The certificate clearly states it’s valid for two weeks and also states that the gym is open 24/7. We went to Anytime Lindale to redeem the certificate and the manager Arial said “oh, normally we don’t give trials for two weeks, but I’ll make an exception”. Then she told us we can’t enter the gym when a staff member isn’t there, including nights and weekends.

These restrictions should be listed on your gift certificates, otherwise, don’t list your business in the fundraising booklet!

I'd recommend better squat bar covers. These have bad velcro and not much padding. Makes hip thrusts painful.

The hip abduction machine has 7 to 10 degrees of slack which limits range of motion.

I'd recommend more Ankle straps for cable assisted donkey kicks and hip abduction.

I cant get the wifi password that is posted by the bathrooms to work. That may be operator error I'm not sure.

I cant seem to find the resistance bands for squats. Plenty of the long ones but idk where the ones for you thighs are.

The gym is big, and for the most part clean. They only have one squat/bench rack, so if you get there at 4 there’s a guy that lives on the bench for about an hour or so, he will do a set, play in his phone and walk around and talk to people for 20 minutes then maybe do another set. This wouldn’t be as big a deal if there were 1 or 2 more racks. Also, a lot of memebwrs aren’t wiping machines down, and I noticed some would just leave the wipes on the floor. The gym itself is worthy of 5 stars it’s the members I’ve come across the 2 days I’ve been in that knock it down a peg for me.

I was under the impression that I canceled my membership years ago. Then recently I've been getting charged for a gym membership that I haven't used in probably 5 years now. I've called and left several messages, emailed a couple of times, and never any response. I want to know why my account was completely dormant for years then suddenly starts getting charged again. This place is a joke when it comes to trying to cancel your membership. You are required to cancel in person as I tried to do twice and nobody was there during normal business hours. I finally called and let them know I was moving and no one had been in the office to cancel out my membership he said he’s been super busy and apologized. After my third attempt to cancel in person I finally put a stop payment on them and agin called to let them know that I had attempted in person and no longer lived in Lindale all to be turned over to collections 4 years later. And yes I fulfilled my one year contract before I tried to cancel.

I’m sure the owner will respond with a BS statement that doesn’t change anything they’ve done but I am beyond irritated with the way this place does business..

Looks like a nice facility and definitely a better anytime fitness than most, but I have failed to get a return call or catch anyone answering the phones during the staff hours. I have called off and on for three weeks, left 3 messages and have had zero response.

I will update my review once I hear from them and even though they lack communication, i intend to sign up. I understand it’s a part of anytime fitness business model to limit staff and hours so maybe my review will drastically change once there is communication.

My boy had a football game in Lindale this afternoon so I decided to visit this anytime. I love the assortment of pull attachments and variety of hammer strength equipment. The facility was extremely clean and well kept. I like how wide open it is. Over all I’ll be coming back again!

Up until now, Anytime was a great experience with good staff. Now, I have an account sent to collections because my membership was apparently NOT cancelled when I cancelled my wife's and my membership. I was set up on auto draft for the duration of my contract. When the bank denied further charges, Anytime Fitness sent my "account" to collections. Now I have a derogatory mark on my credit! And, to top it all off, I can't get the manager or franchise owner to call me back. Everytime I have gone to the building, the manager is not there. Today, I go up there, the manager is in his office (you could see him) and he would not answer the door. So, I called and it went straight to VM!!! This is very frustrating!

I have no vendetta towards the gym or staff. For future readers, I was hesitant to join because of all of the bad reviews due to a man named Cleveland Brown. I asked about it when I signed up and was told he no longer works there. I was very thorough with my questions before signing anything because the contract can be a bit extreme. Mike is the manager I see the most and he was very honest and open with all answers to my questions regarding the gym. He also always says hi or waves. Micah is also a manager and he really listens to any feedback you have and wants to make sure you are taken care of and all concerns are properly addressed and resolved. I do wish the gym music was just a tad louder😊

In response to the ‘owner’, I am usually there around 4 or 5 PM.
I would also add that myself and my spouse have both made complaints over the past year or more. In addition the exercise mats are falling apart and needs replacement. The floor in the exercise room is dirty most times. I have seen the manager late afternoon wiping some surfaces down which is an improvement. That said, I have not had much response and I hope this response on Google is not just for PR but an actual change occurs.

I have been a long time member of Anytime Fitness. 6+ years. I’ve probably used my membership at over a dozen and a half anytime fitness in Texas and other states while traveling.
I have 2 complaints regarding this location. 1. They keep the temperature too warm. I’m told because some ‘older’ members complain. It is hot to run on the treadmills and the 1 floor fan they have is useless in providing you a breeze on the treadmill. It’s stuffy and uncomfortable if your working out vigorously. I have complained but to no change. Sometimes if the weather is absolutely atrocious outside i will bring a large standing fan to the gym but I have to walk through a bunch of wires behind the treadmills to try and set it up which is a hassle. 2. Cleanliness. It has improved a little but still an issue. Often, soap dispenser not working or filled in shower. This all said. They have a good diverse choice of equipment and a nice ‘feel.’ They have s ‘CrossFit’ room and outdoor b-ball court and exercise classes that are good.

I have been attending this gym for a few months about twice a week in the evening. Most of the time there are a group of guys using foul language and no one does anything about it. My trainer said something to the Manager Monday night and he spoke to the guys. The next day I go back and one of the guys threatened me. I spoke to the manager and he said he couldn't do anything about it, so I told him to let me out of my contract. I do not want to work out at a place that I cannot feel safe and management does nothing about it. I also do not want to work out around of grown men that use foul language in front of women and children.

Cleveland Brown (the manager of this branch) is the rudest individual I have ever dealt with. He talked my wife and I into signing up for a contract and assured us that we could canceled if we moved to an area that does not have an Anytime (we travel with work.) Well we did move to an area where the nearest gym is 75mi away. When I contacted Cleveland to cancel, he would not return my calls and was not helpful in anyway. When I did get him on the phone, he told me, "I should have been responsible enough to cancel in person before I moved" and that they usually only allow someone to cancel in person. He then went on to say that it requires a utility bill to prove your location. HOW DO YOU GET A UTILITY BILL BEFOR YOU MOVE????? He was very rude, he raised his voice, he lied and made up policies, and replied with "Okay! Thats fine!" When I stated that I will call corporate. Thankfully, corporate confirmed his false statements and got me in contact with the regional manager who handled my cancelation. Cleveland Brown, YOU are no manager. YOU should be responsible enough to conduct yourself in a professional manner. You are a manager, not a middle school child.

Cleveland Brown tricked my boyfriend into a contract. He was visiting for three months and he told him he can cancel anytime no problem. He got two keys one for me and for himself. This guy did not go over and explain correctly what my boyfriend signed, ans lied when my boyfriend asked questions. If he had known it was a two year contract he never would have signed up because he is not permanently staying here. He asked plenty of questions and was lied to. This is a shady place.
