I wanted to update my previous review because the gym really stepped up.When I came back, the whole place felt completely different — much cleaner, cooler, and way more comfortable to work out in. I really appreciate how quickly they corrected everything. Thank you for listening and improving the experience. It’s definitely a much better gym now, and I’m happy to keep coming back!

If I could give Less than one star, I would. This place is nasty and NEVER clean! The Mojave desert would be a better place if you’re looking to work out in a cool climate. It’s like they don’t believe in AC! Showers are filthy and no ventilation…at all! The toilet paper is never filled and there is no paper towels. Rant over!

rusty weights. rubber is destroyed on everything. rust gets on your hands doesn't matter what you touch. floor is tearing apart and there's tripping hazards everywhere. guy at desk as rude. and on top of all of that, they charge $50/mo.

I have been a member for 2 years and this facility is outstanding!. The equipment is all ways clean, serviceable, and ready to use. Mike and Mackenzie have made a lot of effort to maintain and repair the equipment and it has really improved over the last 6 months. I use gyms all over the US and this Facility is one of the nicest, cleanest ones that I've been too. I completely recommend using this Anytime Fitness in Lumberton.

Anytime Fitness Center Of Lumberton TX is always available. It's clean and an orderly place for your health and exercise goals. They have the most amazing and dedicated personal fitness trainer named Noah. His instructions and plans are tailored for each client's specific needs. I highly recommend this Fitness Center.

We were really impressed by how spacious this gym is, offering plenty of room for workouts.

They also have multiple private shower and bathroom facilities, which is a huge plus.

The staff were all very welcoming and approachable, creating a relaxed atmosphere.

The only area for improvement I noted was the cleanliness of the bathrooms; specifically, the plastic shower curtain in my stall was definitely past its prime and could use replacing.

This place is a money pit. When my contract was up and I moved away from the area. They continued to charge me, even though I notified and signed paperwork saying such. Do not go to this gym, they will screw you over. I’m not the only person saying this either.

Outstanding gym! I started using Anytime Fitness when my Doctor said I needed a knee replacement and planned on having it the first of the year. I wanted to get into the best physical condition possible prior to the surgery so I started using Mike to help build strength in my knee and improve my overall fitness. After 4 months my overall condition has greatly improved and my knee does not hurt nearly as much as it did. The improvement is so noticeable that I am able to delay surgery in the foreseeable future. All because of the professionalism and effort by Mike.

Me and my mimi(grandma) go to this gym every Wednesday and work out together and it’s really fun surprisingly! Not only are the workers some of the sweetest and kindest people but the equipment is pretty clean and high quality. I definitely recommend the one in Lumberton.

One area of gym is nice, but surprised to find how poorly maintained the rest of the gym is. Dirty and almost all seats need to be refelted. You would think with equipment fees every 6 months the equipment would look better. Gym still usable just disappointed in the condition.

Horrible gym, never go here. I bought a membership 2 years ago and only went 1 time. I was told that there was no way to cancel my membership and that I had to wait for it to expire. And of course when that time came they auto renewed my membership without my knowledge and told me that I had to go up there to sign a paper to cancel auto renew. Which is something they never told me about the multiple times I had called up there to talk about my membership. Oh and the reason I had stopped going was because they were charging my friends card for $100s of dollars extra and didn't fix the problem after he had called up there multiple times. So if you want a horrible gym where the employees will steal your card info and money, then this place is for you.

Just so everyone knows if you cancel your membership then you still owe them for another 30 days. And if "enhancement fees" come due after you cancel you will have to pay an additional $34.64. It does not matter if you have never missed a payment in years. They are going to get their money!!!

Staffed hours online show they are here at 10 AM on Fridays. Staffed hours posted on the front entrance show they are here at 10 AM on Friday. It’s currently 10:18 AM while I am typing this review and still no staff have shown up. I’m sitting in the car with two other family members and we are wanting to get memberships. I think it’s ridiculous that staff cannot show up on time. Hire more staff or run a better business.

Signed up for a membership and 2 days later got a job offer out of town i couldn’t pass up but would not be using the membership and low and behold their contract says to cancel your membership you have to pay off the whole thing for around $900 even though i had only been once. So now ive been stuck paying for a membership that i have never used. When i went to go get a scan tag to start using it “oh you have to pay for those” all they seem to care about here is getting your money. Place is way to small to be charging so much. Will never recommend this crooked place to anyone!

Stay away from this gym!!! DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACTS WITH THEM! In December I sent the manager an email asking them to discontinue my membership. She in response sent me a copy of my contract and said that I couldn’t cancel until May 6 as per the contract. So I asked her to please cancel it effective May 6. When May came I was still being charged the biweekly fee of $27.99. I called her and said that I had asked her to cancel. She informed me then that I had had to come in and SIGN to stop the automatic enrollment. The manager’s response was to smugly refer to the contract that I had signed. When I went in to give my signature she then informed me that I had begun the process and it would be completed in 30 days!!! They are still going to take another $54 even after I signed that I didn’t want to be a member. I was once again reminded with a smirk about the contract I had signed. It’s a scam!! Please believe all the negative reviews that have been left and find another gym that has ethics.

I have been a member for exactly 9 days now, 4 of which I've actually came to the gym to work out. In the short period of time being there I have noticed the lack of care in anything in this gym. The kettle bells have rust all over them, the floors are broken and a safety risk, equipment needs upholstery, weights are missing chunks out of them.

I have just called and spoke with the manager Mackenzie Sikes on this matter and she absolutely did not care on how I felt about working out in this unsafe environment. She basically just kept repeating that it was in the contract, and that I am obligated by it regardless of if my safety is at risk. This is practically a scam. We have this lengthy contract to sign as this is their way of keeping unhappy members to keep paying for this rundown place without any repercussions.

I've been to several gyms in my life and have never been to such a dilapidated workout center in my life. Absolutely no shame in her game. Once you sign that contract, you are hooked and she knows it regardless of the experience you have.

9 day membership completely unhappy, and now required to keep paying for a whole year!? Disgusting business practices!

Anytime is a great gym for anyone looking for something small, quiet, and has all the basic necessities. They have the group training, cardio equipment, free weights, and machines, as well as tanning. The staff is friendly as well. I love that I can workout anytime day or night and it’s close to home.

I decided to get back into to my fitness journey after having a baby boy. And I absolutely love anytime! Mackenzie or aka to my baby boy Mackey (the GM) has been super attentive and helpful in all aspects! Anytime I've had a question it has been answered and Mackey loves my kiddo to pieces. The gym is close to my house so it is great that I get to stop in around my busy schedule.

Scheduled an appointment to see gym waited outside called gym several times with no response. After 20 minutes a customer let us in. waited in front of managers office for another 10 minutes called a few more times got answering machine. I typically don't like to leave reviews, unless they are needed to make others aware. I would like to state that I had a two year membership, but I only went for maybe two months. I just found out that they charged me during the mandatory shut down while the facility was in fact closed due to COVID. The two year membership I had was coming to an end on 7/14/2021. So I called May of 2021 to inquire about everything I needed to do so that I can avoid paying anymore charges. The general manager Mackenzie Sikes told me then I needed to fill out a cancellation form which was dated 6/22/21. I am under the impression that I was up to date on my payments after confirming with her that it was my last payment. July rolls around, she failed to tell me that I was responsible for another 30 days which I don't recall. When I signed the cancellation form I only saw the signature line and I was out the door. I knew better, but I mistakenly thought everything was all good at that point. Now getting into August they were trying to run my card again. Regardless of any phone calls that were made to me she failed to turn my cancellation forms in. Each month they charge their monthly fees still under my account (and they are only aloud to do that if the cancellation form is sent over) I never wanted to leave my debit card on file, so they never were able to collect further payment. After making many phone calls during August and through the beginning of September, per my request she never could provide me with a invoice of charges exceeding over $90. I asked if she would ever pay a invoice she's never seen before, instead she just proceeds to take notes on the computer. Then she tells she sent letters to my residence, keep in mind I told her that I moved from Lumberton over a year ago after I got married. So no, I never received those. Being that she is the general manager I asked her why haven't you thought to ask for my new address, yet I am sitting here on the phone telling you I moved.. Then she asks for my new address, and tells me she will update that information. Its 10/5/21, and she still hasn't updated that information. She states that she sent emails, those which were sent to Junk. I provide my email to her towards the end of July 2021, so that I could obtain the contract/forms that I signed. I also have email correspondence as proof, if I ever have to provide any documentation to the owner. Mid September, I've left voicemails for general manger to contact me so that I can get in touch with the owner. I haven't received any phones back as of today 10/5/2021. During this time I have learned that she did not in fact inform me of the truth regarding my charges nor resolved the charges exceeding my cancellation form since she turned them in late..I was also informed that they were going to pull another charge in September for another month. Last I spoke with her she stated that the owner tried to call me but couldn't give me the time/date being that they are so contestant with note taking. The time before that she mention that his plate is full and that it would be a week out. To add she stated that he would email me over calling me so that he can have documentation of the conversation. The professionalism, and communication here is nothing I've ever experienced. A response from the owner would be greatly appreciated to resolve this issue. It's a matter of telling clients the truth, and taking care of business so others don't have to suffer the consequences of their actions because she failed to turn it in. Since Mackenzie refuses to call me back, I decided to go up to the facility 10/6/21. Can’t even go in to discuss the matter, or she will call law enforcement as she did me. The owner “Andrew” if that’s really his name, won’t email back after he sent out his automated email. I was supposed to hear from someone name Rachel but haven’t.

This was my first experience at this location and I have to say it was pretty cool. It’s a large layout with each type of activity kind of segregated. Pretty helpful if you’re a cardio jackrabbit and don’t want to be distracted by the gorilla on the bench press. I feel like there was so much more to the building than I had the chance to explore, but I’ll fix that on my next visit.

tried canceling on DECEMBER 10,2019... but since I dont live in texas anymore they told me to do certified mail, I did. It came back to my house a month later. It's now MARCH 2020 and they are STILL harassing me for february's payment. Even though they found the email I sent also in an attempt to cancel my membership sent in. DECEMBER After I did my whole contract. They said It would take a month to cancel so i would have to pay for January which i did no problem.. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!

I have been a member for two years. The place is clean and they have nice equipment. Try to cancel and see why I rated them as low as I did. I had two knee surgeries and cant come in so I tried to cancel the membership. Close to home only 5 min. away, no one wears a mask, not even employees, 600,000 cases in Texas. Lights are missing,51 out, water in coolers at bath water temperature, too warm to drink. If it wasn't so convenient, I wouldn't use this facility. A.C. filters need changing, return air vents need cleaning.

I’ve had a membership here for over a year and recently had to move my grandmother in with me to care for her. I tried to explain this to the staff at this location and attempted to cancel my membership. One staff member told me she could mail me the form to fill out to cancel my membership however it would need to be mailed back certified mail. I then received a call from the area manager stating they did not mail forms out and she was the one I spoke to earlier and I was mistaken when I told her the lady at the gym told me she could mail the form. I can assure I spoke to 2 separate people and was not mistaken. I did not appreciate being lied to by the area manager stating she was the only one I spoke to regarding this. Surely she realizes this happened within 30 minutes and caller ID is a real thing!!!
I am on a month to month basis with my membership and have requested cancellation of my membership and money no longer be drafted from my account. They continue to draft despite numerous request to cancel. Worst customer service from staff. I will be reporting this to my bank, BBB and attorney if money is not refunded after my notice of cancellation. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ORGANIZATION.

There is a lack of enforcement of the rules...wipe down your equipment, dress code, etc...not to mention a witnessing a member harassing another based on their appearance. Which by the rules, terminates the membership but was swept under the rug due to being a regular. If you like other people's lack of consideration, if you like no enforcement of the rules, sweat from others on the equipment, dirty restrooms, intimidation of other members based on their appearance...this place is for you...the Holiday Express has a bigger gym and Beaumont has REAL gyms where most of the show off members have to stay at a place like this to boost their ego due to lack of coming short in a REAL gym.

Buyer Beware!! I hurt my back several months back at the gym, and after I didn't recover as quickly as I had hoped, I tried to cancel my membership. That membership that is so easy to sign up for, the one they'll "send you the contract in your email, just sign here"? Well, you better read it closely before you sign. Even in the event of your death, your family has to prove you are dead to cancel the membership. If I would get a doctor to say I could never exercise again, I could cancel my membership. Who would want to do that? The excuse I got on the phone was: "People sign up with a goal, we try to help you stay true to that goal" . So, this company will get this monthly contribution to their business as they demand. Hope they enjoy that, it's the only money they will ever see from our family, and I'll continue to warn everyone that is even thinking about joining this "gym" what's to come. Things happen, and these folks are not in the people business, they just want their money, no matter what.

Unlike many other Anytime Fitness locations around the country this particular location doesn't offer week passes, but it does offer day passes for $10. In other words if you happen to be an individual from out of town that might be here working for a short time this location doesn't want your business. Also, they won't allow you to pay for a month up front (because it should be cheaper than $50). I was informed that it would be $100 to sign me up and since I wasn't a local I couldn't use my membership anywhere else but home for 30 days.
