I don't think anyone should be joining this gym again. Cancellation of membership is a hassle and it's by intention. I have been trying to called my membership for the past 4 months but they refused to cancel it. I have called them at least 6 time and still no cancellation. They initially told me my membership is coming up for renewal and all I need to do is not to renew. So, I asked them not to renew. Then I called 1 month before the end of my membership to confirm nonrenewal and they said I need to give 1 month notice which I did. They still continued to charge my credit card. Since then I have made multiple calls and they still won't cancel my membership. I had to cancel my credit card. Now they are calling me due to late payment and sending multiple emails to make payment. I have done gym cancellation in the past with another gym with no such problems. It doesn't worth it joining this gym

Great spot here in Prosper. The gym is clean, has everything you need, and the staff makes the atmosphere really welcoming. The new vending machine they have is a huge plus, stocked with energy drinks, protein, and recovery options that make it super convenient after a workout. We are long standing members. As of lately, the last six+ weeks, our gym is in some need of attention. The floors appear as though they’re not being regularly maintained, there’s dirt, trash etc. The paper towel dispensers are always empty, it seems. The disinfectant is always low. The office trash is overflowing with food wrappers and it does not look inviting. The equipment is dirty and the list goes on. I did not want to leave this public bad review but I’ve made several attempts to reach out on Facebook and by email but have not received a response. There are so many other gyms in the area. Please address these issues and get the gym back to where it was a couple of months ago. The current state is unacceptable.

This gym in Prosper, Texas, is the 46th stop on my FitQuest70 journey from Sacramento to Texas, and it turned out to be a fantastic surprise. Despite some initial nerves from reading negative reviews, I found the facility to be completely redone and spotless, with ongoing improvements to the showers. Staff was consistently visible cleaning and assisting members, contributing to a very welcoming atmosphere. After visiting 46 gyms, I can confidently say this one stands out for its cleanliness-no dust bunnies in sight-and its variety of specialty equipment, including a tractor tire and some unique benches. After my workout, both staff and members were very friendly and I ended up having a great 15-minute chat about health and fitness in the lobby. Based on my experience, this gym easily earns a 10 out of 10 for cleanliness, equipment, and the welcoming vibe.

The owner of this franchise location is VERY close to getting sued. You should have proper facilities maintained and this should be fixed immediately. You can’t own a business and not pay attention to things like this you are just opening yourself to litigation. If I had been injured from this shoddy work- I would be filing tomorrow. Have been battling with this location for over a year. Mislead a college student to sign up over a break and then when he went to cancel, they told him it was 1 year contract. Person is no longer working at the location. Was told for ethics from current employee. Since then at one year, they refused to cancel b/c I was not the person on the account although they happily used my cc for a year to take payments. Had to cancel my cc b/c of them and now they are threatening my sons credit for $240 b/c I stopped paying. The rep at location agreed to cancel and then when it wasn't done and I called back, he said he couldn't and was told not to. We are having to hire a lawyer now to which will cost more money but the principle of ethics is worth it. The owner has been emailed numerous time and corporate with no follow up from them.

The new manager is fantastic. This was a two star gym that the new manager was able to turn around to a 4 star gym. Great community here, small gym, lots of regulars. Equipment is slightly older, but the new manager has been making repairs regularly. He also keeps the place very clean, which the last two managers did not. Note to those looking to join, use a services called ActiveDirect to book your membership. Not only is it cheaper, its way easier to cancel. Read the reviews on this place on cancellations.... With the other company its as easy as one click to cancel. I have left and came back several times and belong to multiple gyms with AD.

Well let me start out from the beginning,

From the start of my journey with "Anytime Fitness" was supposed to be a great journey but upon going into the gym it was small and not a great experience especially around the time i was going due to how busy the small area was

I wanted to move forward with cancelling which is a complete nightmare. I should have paid more attention to the reviews. From what i read i was told to just call my bank and have the account with "Anytime Fitness" blocked and have my account reaccredited which i did.

Fast forward a month almost 2 i get a random call from a collection agency. They are explaining to me i now owe 717.72$ to them after i have contacted multiple times and also confirmed with the manager at the time my account was terminated.

After calling the store and FINALLY getting ahold of someone, not only do i owe the 717.72$ which is the cancelation fee but an additional 227$ for some other charge with them...

To sum it up DONT go to this gym unless you enjoy super small areas, random charges, 717.72$ in charges if you dont plan to go to this gym for 2 years straight. Also forget trying to get ahold of them it wont happen...

Beware of this place. Was a member for over two years and decided to cancel the membership in March of this year after discovering Texas Family Fitness was a better option. We went in to cancel and was told by the manager that everything was done and we are good to go. Four month later I realize that they are still charging us so we went in to question it. They gave us some lip service about how the previous manager didn’t do the cancelations and we were not the first to have this issue. The new manager offered no refund for the four months of dues they stole from us. They “cancelled” it again but still provided no cancelation proof so we were forced to block them from charging us. Very unprofessional. The place is a complete dump too. Outdated equipment and lack of maintenance is obvious. They’ll be out of business soon.

Recently moved to the area with an existing membership that had just expired. On my first visit to this club at 10:25am, despite being within the staffed hours, there was no staff on site, no response when calling. Wasted my time coming here as I was looking to renew and get a workout in. Based on the earlier reviews it looks like this place is mismanaged as others have experienced the same. My wife contacted this gym at the beginning of May to verbally request that our contracts were cancelled at which time the gentleman stated that the contracts would be cancelled and that we would no longer be charged. Two weeks later our account was drafted for dues and we have made eight attempts to call the gym with no response.

I submitted an online message on June 1st through the Anytime Fitness website providing the details for the incorrect charges with no response.

Today, June 3rd, we received an email from a collection agency stating that we have late payments to the gym.

The business owners are crooks and will continue to charge you even after you attempt to cancel. I highly recommend staying as far away from this place as possible!!

I have fulfilled my 12 month contract and never had any issues with my account.

My contract is set to end on June 14, however, it is set to auto renewal and don’t want that to happen.

I have gone in person to the club and spoken with Mr Diggles, the GM. The first time he said he would change my account to no and not autorenew. A week went by, and nothing. I went online to submit a contact me form discussing my issue, and no one responded.

I went in person AGAIN May 13 and spoke to “Mr. Diggles” and again, he promised me he would change it and would take 24 hours to reflect the change on my account. Guess what??!!! He didn’t do what he said he would.

I sent Mr Diggles an email May 13 and May 14 with NO response. I called Anytime Fitness corporate office and was told a “ticket” had been issued to fix my account.
I called the billing authority and was told to contact the club directly.

I spent $10.12 to mail certified letters I hand wrote to cancel the auto renewal.
It’s so convenient for them to ignore me given that today, May 14, is 30 days notice required.

I have FAITHFULLY fulfilled my contract agreement. WHY is this location in Prosper making it virtually impossible to help me? The GM has lied to me and ignored me. All I want is to PLEASE STOP MY AUTO RENEWAL! This is insane the hours I’ve put into this that I’ll never get back.
I’m homeschooling and caring for my mother in law dying from brain cancer: this is the LAST THING I WANT TO DEAL WITH!

This is unbelievable: I would leave zero stars if I could.

I have attempted to contact this club a number of times via phone and email with no response whatsoever. Anytime I have attempted to call the phone just rings and rings with no option to leave a voicemail. No one is ever in the office to even speak with someone in person. This club requires you cancel by contacting the club directly but there has been no way to do so. I have called the corporate number and spoke with someone who said there is nothing that they can do on their end, as this club’s contract requires they be contacted directly. I have been continuously charged over and over. Highly recommend not signing any sort of contract or membership with this location.

Impossible to cancel contract. I acquired a back injury and have been advised to avoid heavy lifting which was my main reason for joining. They said I could cancel with documentation. I’ve done everything they have told me to do. This has been going on now for 6 months and I am still getting charged. They keep saying it’s canceled and it’s a complete joke and a runaround and a waste of my time. They are terrible at responding to emails and you can’t get a hold of a higher person not sure who actually owns this place. Came here in 2021 to seek a temporary guest pass to try atleast a day so I can figure out if this is the gym for me. Through work, and their connected partner, I had a guest pass printed. Guess what the manager lady told me? We don’t have any guest pass available. I even went there all dressed for workout of the day, with my protein shake and everything but I was told they don’t honor what their partner said they would. If I remember correctly I was told the membership fee showing with the partner is not going to be honored. The manager lady made the best attempt to reject me from joining the gym by showing 0 customer service. I said no to this gym and enjoyed going to Texas Health fitness center. Since TD stepped into management, the gym has been on a remarkable upswing every single day. The remodel is absolutely stunning, the benches and machines are being tended to, and the new dumbbells are top-notch. I've never witnessed it in such pristine condition. This is a very basic gym. There are no extras like towel service or a pool. The showers are not that great and the gym space is small. If you live near this gym and need 24/7/365 access then this could be a good choice for you.

When you sign up they give you a key fob to get in. There is an alarm on the door that goes of if two or more people enter with a single fob opening the door. They have signs saying they check the camera and will deactivate your fob if you let people in or don't rack your weights.

Parking near the gym is limited and tight. If you park further away towards Preston Road then there is plenty of space. If the restaurant under the gym is busy then you will have to park further away and walk.

In the evenings the gym can get very crowded with mostly high school students. The early mornings are not busy at all. There is not much space between the equipment.

They lock you into a two-year contract and force you to pay bi-monthly. Each payment comes with a processing fee which could be cut in half if they would just allow monthly payments. The management claims that the customers prefer bi-monthly payments as an excuse to refuse monthly payments. It seems like they could be getting a kickback from their payment processing vendor. I suspect this because I asked if I could prepay for a year in advance and got no response.

All in paying with a credit card you are going to get charged $22.72 bi-weekly adding up to $45.44 per month. When I was a member at LA Fitness in McKinney I was charged $37.88 per month. This gym costs more than LA Fitness and has much fewer features. You really need to consider that as the LA Fitness in McKinney is 15 minutes away and is not open 24/7/365. It is a trade-off between quality and convenience.

There is also a new Texas Family Fitness opening nearby. It is not 24/7/365 but has more equipment. Price is about the same too.

I sent in our membership cancellation in October. He never cancelled us. I’ve tried numerous time to reach him by phone. He doesn’t answer the phone and the mailbox is full, so I can’t leave a message.

He also doesn’t reply to emails.

I reached him once by phone. He told us he needed our driver’s licenses. I sent those to him. He still didn’t cancel. He’s charged us in October, November and December.

I finally paid my bank $30 to stop payment. This will handle future charges, but doesn’t take care of the past credits that I need.

Now that Anytime can’t charge our card, I’m receiving text messages from the manager, Thedric, that we are past due on our account. Again, he’s not answering the phone, I can’t leave a voicemail, and he doesn’t reply to email.

I reached out to corporate and they were ZERO help. Who wants to help me get a hold of Thedric at Anytime Fitness?! 🤬

This place is horribly managed. I decided to write this review today because what I experienced today pushed me over.

No soap in ANY of the bathrooms and it’s been like this for days. Nasty. They do NOT clean the bathrooms either! The same label that fell off of someone’s shampoo bottle has been covering the drain of one of the showers for literally weeks. I look every time I go to see if they have cleaned. They haven’t. It’s still there.

Also, you cannot find any hand sanitizer anywhere. None. They used to have it either in a dispenser or a free standing bottle but none. The automatic dispenser near the interior office window has been empty for weeks.

Whatever you do find a different gym, this place is very unprofessional- does not return phone calls. They stole money from my daughter and we are disputing it with her bank. I have emails proving that she canceled before 24 hours was up and she had 7 days. So well within their cancellation policy. She even has an email that says she will see a refund and nothing. Ethan is the man‼️ Not only is his energy awesome, his work ethic, and customer first mentality makes this gym all worth it. Im a military veteran & I HAVE to workout to keep me sane. I recently joined an anytime fitness in deep elum where I work. My 30 day period hasn’t passed yet, & I couldn’t go into other anytime fitness centers just yet. Since I live in Prosper & not deep elum I needed to workout today somewhere close to my home. Long story short I tried the anytime fitness in McKinney & that guy in there was an absolute a** whipe. Wouldn’t let me workout because he claims his gym is dead set on the 30 day period before you can access all gyms. I called the anytime Fitness call center & they adamantly mention that most clubs shouldn’t have a problem with me entering without the 30 day Grace. So I tried this gym in Prosper, and not only did Ethan let a military veteran get some steam off. He set me up to where I wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore if I decide to workout at this particular gym instead of the one wayyy out the way on my off days from work. Words doesn’t describe how grateful I am. Thanks, and I hope his upper management sees this review. He went above and beyond today!

Got my membership one year, second year i came to renew it. they tricked me into another one year contract, which they weren’t supposed to. i kept calling and calling, staff never on sight, never answer any questions nor phone calls. so i transferred my membership to anytime fitness mckinney. the owner got me out of that contract and helped me through every. single. little. bit. prosper anytime fitness -1/10 i don’t recommend. the owner trains their employees to put people under contract just so they can make money. absolutely horrendous.

Gym is fine, but service is bad. I’ve tried to sign up on 4 different occasions and staff is never there. Kelsey openly tells gym members that she leaves 30 mins before closing and she’s not there when it opens. Then I saw this note (at 3:00) and had to post it.

Have not been here long, but very disappointing. They are a small gym with some out dated equipment. I needed the late hours to workout the lady who runs it had some strange $100 fee so she can upgrade her gym?
We agreed and signed 2 months later I get a strange message from her saying we are not paying yet the money is coming out of my account. I was unable to reach her by text or Gym phone or her cell. When I contacted the gym and spoke to other people they said I would be called back I never was or simply told to reach out to the billing company. So I did and was told they had a different account # for billing and I need to speak to the owner lol they are still billing my account though. Worst gym experience I have ever had, not a very big gym either so it is clear management has checked out.

The trainer there is rude, always tries to bump into me, finds a way to walk in front of me and stand there when I’m focusing on my form in the mirror, and always just gives me the dirtiest looks for no reason. Absolute classless and unprofessional.

We’ve been going to this location since December because it’s closest to our house. The gym always seems to be clean. About half the gym is divided out to what looks like a CrossFit setup. That’s not my thing, so I’d rather see more machines, but that’s not necessarily a fault. There are signs reminding people to clean up equipment after use and there are paper towel/wipe stations throughout the gym. However the gym isn’t staffed on the weekend, so on Sundays, those are sometimes out. It has had the usual first of the year crowds but those are tapering off, yet the more recent crowd seems to be mostly teenagers that are more interested in checking in for their Instagram feed and just hanging out. They stand around and sit at stations just talking. When you don’t have a whole lot of machines, that’s annoying when you want to get in, get your workout and get out. Not the gym’s fault but it’s the scene anyway. All interactions with management have been positive, so no complaints there at all.

The owner is awesome! Military, police, first responders all under the Hero plan! Great to see such passion for fitness! Very clean facility with clean facilities. Members are friendly and adhere to proper gym etiquette. Nice family!

Absolutely love this gym! The gym is always maintained and kept clean, there is a great variety of machines and weights, the manager is very helpful and always friendly and willing to make your experience the best it can be. There is a great family-like vibe at this gym and I would HIGHLY recommend coming and joining!

I've only encountered helpful and considerate people here, that includes the staff. The gym is always clean and there is a good variety of equipment. Coming from a larger gym (LA), I'm happy that it's not so busy that equipment is always occupied. This is a very comfortable environment for exercising. Be wary that parking can get annoying sometimes due to the business of the Tex-Mex restaurant and surrounding businesses. Sometimes you'll have to park on the West side parking lot, which isn't so bad.

I'm loving my new gym! It is fully equipped up do bootcamp style workouts without the cost. You can get a lot done and it's never crowded. There are also workouts listed on the wall that you can do (I did with some modifications) it's really nice.

I’m not one to usually complain or leave bad reviews But When I went to sign up, one of the employees was trying to make conversation which I proceeded to talk about something with my boyfriend and the employee made a comment about how my relationship wouldn’t last. I thought it was inappropriate and crossed a line because he didn’t know me or my boyfriend and he’s trying to sell a membership not dating advice.

Really enjoy Anytime Fitness. Clean facility, outstanding management, and not too busy at any given time. Recently renovated and at their new location, there are a variety of free weights, machines, and cardio equipment. Other members are courteous and friendly......

I went to check out the Prosper location of anytime fitness. I am just an overweight dad looking to get into shape to set an example for my boys. Gyms can be overwhelming and a bit intimidating if your new to them. I found this gym to be light and uplifting as soon as I walked through the door. The people working out were normal people working on the best version of them! They were friendly and gave a feeling of a sense of community- a very sweaty community!!!!! LOL! The equipment was new and in great shape. The cross fit area was great and looks brand new. After closer inspection of the exercise performed in this area - I moved out of there very quickly!!!!!! LOL!!! Not quite ready for that!!!!! One great feature was “the wall of why” - I found that to be inspirational!! I checked out the showers and rest rooms next- the private bathrooms were light and bright and had a homely feel to them. They were very clean which is very important!!! The team running this gym have done a great job in creating a community center where people come to work out!! If your thinking of joining a gym I highly recommend this community center of sweat!!!!

This is a really nice setup. Its a newer gym with 24 hour access for its members. All of the equipment is new and well maintained. I wanted to sign up but it's a bit pricey for me. I totally understand they have a difference pricing strategy and its not for everyone.
