My wife signed up and was told she could cancel that month and then when she tried to they refused. Management changed because too many had this exact problem. New management doesn’t care about burnt customers. $25 every two weeks. You’ll save $200 a year down the street at one of the best Gold’s in the city with no contract.

I had been going to another gym for a while and decided it was time for a change.
Stopped in one day and talked to Daniel. First impressions can make or break someone's decision. I was impressed.
Daniel is easy to talk to, polite and professional.
I needed help on my fitness journey. Was beginning to feel I wasn't getting anywhere.
Wasn't seeing the results I wanted to see.
So I got a PT. Doug is a very good PT, professional, and has helped me tremendously.
His sessions challenge me. I can do so much more than I thought I could.

I joined Anytime Fitness after the gym I used to workout closed down. I went for a few weeks to another gym but it was always crowded, loud, and sometimes had to wait for a machine to be available or for the free weight area to be available. I cancelled my membership with that gym. So that’s when I decided to stop by and check out Anytime Fitness. I got a free day pass to check AF out. I decided it was a good fit for my budget, location, cleanliness, customer service, and the type of equipment I like to use. The staff is top-notch. Daniel is kind and professional, and is always there to answer any questions I might have. I got personal trainer sessions and Doug, the PT, has been excellent. He has created an individualized training plan for my needs. It’s been almost a month since I joined and I am very happy at this Anytime Fitness location. Check it out if you’re looking for a gym that is smaller yet is very clean, has good quality equipment, friendly members, and great staff.

Got active and fit. And called two other locations. One on Alamo ranch had to have an appointment for a membership two days away. And tezel forces you to pay $50 trainer fee. Whether you want it or not. I came here and spoke with Vanessa. She is amazing. Very friendly and helpful. I’m glad I drive the 20 minutes. She made it worth it. This is the gym you are looking for. I've been to gyms all over the country and this one has everything you need and nothing you don't. All of the equipment works and seems new, the place is clean, and the paint is fresh. Daniel helped me with one of the best workouts I've ever had. This is to give an honest review, that’s why I don’t just have one star, even after dealing with this nightmare. It wasn’t ALL bad here. So I really wanted to like this gym. I actually even loved it initially despite some confusion in the beginning, and despite the restrooms getting cleaned every two weeks (if that). The shower is covered in a thick slimey film and you can tell even when they do clean it they don’t use cleaners and disinfectant. The light has never worked in the shower so when you shut the curtain you are in complete darkness bc the shower curtain is dark purple and there is no light in there. Im convinced they just pour toilet cleaner in the toilet bowl and call it a day. I made a review when I first started going here about how I loved this gym and the only issue I had was that they didn’t really clean the restrooms. I’ve only seen one anytime with a dirtier restroom than this one. I mean so dirty I’ve thought about bringing my own cleaners in. Everything else WAS pretty great. There’s never really a lot of people or a huge crowd so that’s something I always liked about this gym. Before I came to this gym my husband and I were attending a different Anytime. Unfortunately this is where I made my mistake because they gave me no notification whatsoever that they were going to be switching us. He never even went over it AT ALL when we signed up. I was okay with the switch!! I actually would rather have given them the membership than the other gym. The problem is, right before it got switched they charged for the other gym. That payment went through. Immediately upon switching and not telling us, they told us that another payment was due right after and I mean RIGHT after we already paid the other gym and they said our payment was late even though they had just taken it. Seems they should have a better system in place or be in communications with the gym they switched us from, so they can exchange information since we were not notified of the change before it happened and we’re new customers right?? WRONG. They really should be in better communication with the other gym so that this doesn’t happen. It’s been coming out of my account so I’m just curious where my money has been going? It doesn’t make a lot of sense to be honest. I’ve been going to the gym and I know we’ve been paying it this whole time and I’ve had no problem accessing it (until recently after my husband spoke with someone there trying to figure out wth was going on). They were trying to say that we are 30 days past due and that they are going to send my information to collections. What a threat for something that they are incompetent of doing on their end!! Is this really how y’all do business? I really wanted to love Anytime Fitness as I have in the past. This is how they treat their members. Billing system is a joke. No one explaining how the switch works or the switch even happening in the first place was really an eye opener for me. When the switch happens apparently they delete the entire account you signed up (didn’t know until it was too late) with and you have to make an entirely new account to be able to pay. We were NEVER informed of this. I have all the transactions and history of them charging us. They have been charging us but they are still saying we are 30 days late. If you don’t want a gym to lose your money definitely run before you sign up. Locked out of the gym because of THEIR mistake and they didn’t even tell me they were switching us until AFTER the switch had already happened. Beyond frustrated at this point it’s been an ABSOLUTE nightmare. I wouldn’t even still go here but unfortunately my husband is insisting that we still do because it’s always empty (I wonder why). I’ve been telling everyone I know who is interested in a gym membership to come here. That was my mistake, as I was completely put out of the gym for a whole week due to their zero communication skills. He ended up waiving some fees but we were still put out of the gym for a week due to their error.

Another outstanding Anytime Fitness facility gym. I've traveled from San Antonio to Temple, & gyms in between, I found this San Antonio location just as inspiring as most of the Top 10 Anytime Fitness Gyms I've worked out in. Clean, well organized, and a great variety of equipment and room to navigate. I understand Tyler K. recently manages this location and I also met Frankie Owens, she is another manager located near by, clearly very good at what they do. I highly recommend these local Anytime Fitness's in this area for sure, and be sure to ask them about Personal Training, they are super qualified in that area as well as I have seen.

The gym is pretty cute and has the basics for your lifting needs, however; this gym is not strict about masks AT ALL. No matter how many signs are put up and how many times we’ve contacted the manager about this problem, people are still able to come in without masks at all! Not even one on them. The people who don’t wear masks are super confident in not wearing one also, taking up the whole back room and weightlifting area which is pathetic and selfish. A young lady even walked right behind me at the front entrance to leave and left not a single foot between her and I. I almost lost it. I am going there to take care of my body, not to be murdered by some incompetent human beings. I know the staff can only do so much since they aren’t there 24/7 but cmon man! Ugh, do not EVER join Anytime Fitness Hausman Village -- Trying to cancel your membership is a complete NIGHTMARE!!!! I had to go to the gym in person to cancel on June 5th (can't do it over the phone) and now a month and a half later they are STILL trying to bill me. I turned off their auto-debit payment system ABC Financial from Bank of America, since they weren't stopping....now I get a threatening call from ABC that I'm past due. On the phone with them now, they can't even tell me how much I owe them....They tell me I need to pay Anytime Fitness, Anytime Fitness tells me I need to pay ABC Financial. Such complete incompetence! $95.78 in new charges since I tried to cancel on June 5th. Unbelievable!!!

Short Story: Make sure you get confirmation when you cancel your membership, because they're going to keep billing you.

Long Story: (Military) In JAN 2020, I got TDY orders (temporary duty assignment) to go to another state for 6 months. I went into the club, orders in-hand, on 16 JAN 2020 to "Freeze" my membership (in accordance with the Membership Freeze Policy for Military Members in the contract). The manager at the time (Justin Ferris) did not want to honor this request. He claimed that this only applied to deployments, not TDYs (not what the contract states).

No problem. I decided I would not continue to do business with Anytime Fitness, since they do not honor their own contracts, esp. for military members. I was also 11 months into my 12-month contract. My last payment was to draft out of my bank account in Feb 2020. At that time I submitted my cancellation request & took a picture of the iPad I used to submit this request (since the manager could not provide me with cancellation documentation or a cancellation request number).

I continued to get charged in March, May & June (Club was shutdown for COVID in April). I contacted the club directly to get March & May bills reversed, which they eventually did. Each time I was assured the "cancellation request" had successfully processed, but that was not the case. When I got billed for June, I reached out to my bank directly to get the payment reversed & to put a stop to all future payments coming from the 3rd-party billing company (ABC Financial).

Now it's July 2020 and ABC Financial reached out to me to inform me that they are unable to collect payment & I have a balance, plus late fees. I'm continuing to try to work with the club to process my cancellation request (after 6 months). They are very hard to communicate with. Voicemails don't get returned. Emails do not get responded to.

But I believe what they're doing is intentionally not processing my cancellation request so they can continue to run up a "balance" so they can sell the debt to a collection agency.

Terrible management, unscrupulous business practices, horrible communication, does not honor the terms of their own contracts.

If you do decide to join this club, just be prepared for a headache when you cancel your membership. And document EVERYTHING. You're going to need it!

Shower curtain is nasty and stained yellow. Considering a permanent change of membership. If you don't care, then i won't either.

I come here often and love that it is rarely too busy. I do wish the place was a bit bigger and had some more machines, like a step machine. That being said, for being so small it rarely feels crowded. The bathrooms are well kept, although they overdo it a bit with the air freshener. Wish they had more organized classes (yoga, kickboxing, etc...) and advertised what they were. Haven't been to a class yet but will try one out soon just to see what they actually do.

Very disappointed in the upkeep of the gym. We have been members for nearly 3 years and we are there practically everyday. New owners have taken over the gym and it is going downhill fast. The gym was cleaned daily when Lisa worked there, Brian was very personable, walking around talking to the members. Now the restrooms are dirty, the exercise room wooden floor has not been swept or cleaned since who knows when, the machines haven't been wiped down?! The t.v monitors on the treadmills and elliptical machines are not working.... there's more to do to take care of the gym than just fold towels?! Shall I continue..... there are not very many options for gyms in our area, this gym and location are very convenient to our home, but my husband and I are seriously considering looking for a new gym, no matter the distance. It's an unfortunate circumstance.

I moved to a different part of town and this is now the most convenient location for me. Its bigger than it looks from the outside, and they have nice new equipment, three bathrooms, and a cool digital workout studio too. The music is upbeat and fun, and they have a vending machine with water, protein shakes, and healthy drink options. They have cubbies to put your stuff in. Depending on what time you go its wither busy or not. I always go late at night so I have never met or seen the owners. The have an office for personal training also. Overall, I really like it.

Summary:
If you’re looking for something a little more than a home gym, this specific location is perfect. If you’re a very in to lifting weights and need lots of equipment choices, try somewhere else.

Pros:
Always very clean. No gym rats grunting or yelling while lifting. Access to any other anytime (after a month). Not busy in the morning. Always stocked with fresh sweat towels and hand sanitizer.

Cons:
I travel for work and this is the second most disappointing location in the country I’ve been to for equipment selection/availability. I have paid my yearly dues here twice and haven’t seen anything new in the gym that I can take note of. WiFi works 50% of the time when I’m there (usually off in the mornings). Took two weeks for the manager to get back to me to give me a number I had to call to cancel which then required I send an email to ABC financial to cancel. I owe another month now.

Not a member at this location but tried this one out anyhow. Very clean location. The drawback to my experience was the gym attendant when i was lifting. I unknowingly dropped weights a little harder than i should have which was my bad, however how I was approached by attendant was as I was intentionally trying to break equipment rather than just asking me to be more careful he attempted to make accusations that i purposely dropped weights. I have been a member of anytime for over 2.5 years and for the first time felt unwelcomed in one of the gyms. I apologized for dropping the gym equipment none the less however the approach by the attendant upset me greatly.

I just moved here and the manager informed me that their location charges more, even though I have a contract at a set rate. The gym was super small and the equipment was fine for what the had. I drove to this gym because it is listed to be dead during this time. The anytime fitness closest to me is about 2 minutes away and has about 2 or 3 people there at night. The stats show that this location has basically no one at night. This place is very crowded for this time of day and the stats are far from true. They need to be updated. It is great you guys are getting such good business but this isn't for me.

If it's convenient, I'd go to another gym. They don't have all the machines I've used at other Anytime locations, and they don't even have individual barbells. It's okay, but I'm driving further down the street to a better location.

This gym is perfect if you're looking for something small and private. The facility is always clean, never crowded, and equipment is always put away. Plus they have a large screen projector in the freeweight room where you can work out with different types of videos. And it's 24/7!

This gym is exactly what I have been wanting. It is small, clean, has all the machines and equipment i need. Always clean towels, clean bathroom and shower, and best of all it has a workout room with over 200 virtual classes to choose from any time i want. You select which class, then a projector comes down and you can adjust lights and surround sound and get your sweat on! Talk about personalizing! Brien the owner, and Daniel and Chris the trainers have been nothing but welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. I only regret not joining sooner. 5star from me.

First of all this gym is clean and the equipment is awesome compared to other gym’s I have been to. Also, it’s open 24/7 so you can work out anytime. Overall this is a good gym I would recommend to a family member or friend.

This is by far the best gym I have ever been too! The equipment is always very clean and is top of the line. Whenever something does break they always have it fixed by the next day. They offer free towels, cubbies, and showers, which are very convinient when working out. My husband and I work out with daniel, one of their personal trainers and we would highly recommend him to anyone. He listens to our wants and needs and has exceeded our expectations. I am not the easiest to work with but he has been able to help us make healthy life changes, and help our weight loss go in the right direction. Once again this is a great gym for anyone, with very reasonable prices.

Always clean. Trainers don't bother you to sell their services. Equipment is always in working order. Between 5-7pm it gets crowded but that happens everywhere. There are two gyms closer to me and I chose to come here. Been a member almost 4 years
