I had some questions about my membership and the manager Seth was very helpful. I haven’t experienced staff as friendly and available at ANY other location. I also travel for a living and have seen a lot of anytimes. This one had multiple variations of quad extension machines, which is great! They also have a calf machine which a lot of locations don’t have for some reason. Great experience!

Experience was well in the gym once I got in. I signed up in April and it took till the second week of May before I could access the gym I signed up through an insurance third party and this seems the process was a little difficult but regardless I am in and enjoyed my workout today.

Impossible to get a hold of; I’ve been calling for the last 2 weeks at different times and during office hours and no one answers. In all honesty, I only come to this gym because it’s the only gym close my home. I drive 20 minutes away to another gym willingly 4 days out of the week because of how clean and responsive their staff is. They also randomly charge different amounts each month- twice a month; which was not discussed when signing up. I canceled my membership last time and was hoping it was better this time around, to only want to cancel my membership again.

I regret to get a contract of 2 years, the machines are old and never work they take like a year to fix one of them, they don’t have soup on the bathrooms, they never have rags to clean the machines after we used them. They don’t have nothing!!

I’ve been coming to this gym consistently for 4 years now. And i am not lying when i say all this gym has fixed or upgraded are the cubbies. Not joking! They have changed those about 5 times. Yet half the treadmill’s incline don’t work, most of their equipment is dated, and it always feels dirty in there. The reason i decided to write this is because now they took away most of the step platforms and also only left very few stackables for it. The only reason i still go here is because it is the only convenient gym around here. I can’t wait until someone decides to put a better gym around here! This gym would go out of business unless they start changing things in here. And i know this because everyone says they have the same issues!

This place is impossible to cancel a membership for any means. I have recently been heavily struggling financially and after trying to get my membership cancelled they insist that they can’t or it’s impossible. My friend used to go to this gym and would bring a friend and they could damn well cancel his membership if he was doing something wrong. This is wrong and they clearly don’t care at all about their members that attend the gym. It’s all a scam to get your money. They won’t even let you get out with a charge of some money you literally have to move away, get hospitalized, or die. Unbelievable service.

TVs on ellipticals have not worked for over a month. Now closed captioning does not work. On site staff do not know when they will be repaired. Just paid twice annual equipment supplemental payment and haven’t seen any improvements yet. Cancelled membership at the end of December. Understood I'd be charged 2 more payments. They are still pulling money out after 3 payments! No one answers the phone when I call.

I have been here twice, during business hours, where there was no one here. Of course you could still get in if you were already a member, but I was trying to sign up. I thought the first time was a fluke but I went again two days later during the appropriate time and still no one!! I’ve tried calling and no one ever picks up in addition to not being able to leave a voicemail. I guess they don’t need or want any business, I’ll have to go elsewhere. These people are criminals. They have made it virtually impossible to cancel our memberships since we moved to another city. They do not pick up the phone no matter what time of day we call.

They are continuing to charge us and the one time we made it on-site during a trip, the person responsible for cancelling was on a 3 hour lunch and the employee that was there threatened us with collections.

I’ve been to probably 15 locations for ATF and this is by far the worst I’ve experienced and while it’s had its ups and downs over the years, it’s in the worst state it’s been. Front door doesn’t work, tv doesn’t work, wifi is out, drinking fountain is broken, bathrooms look like they belong in a gas station down South. It’s dirty, non-functional, and I’ll be avoiding it as much as possible (unfortunately it’s conveniently located). I hope management takes note and improves the facilities. It has a great community that comes here, but it’s constantly going downhill in quality of the facilities.

I’ve been a member for about 15 years originally an independently owned gym. Under that umbrella it was excellent in every area. Since being purchased as an “Anytime Fitness Franchise Gym” a few years ago, it has suffered. Machine maintenance takes weeks to months, TVs on cardio machines have picture and sounds issues continuously without repair, the carpet has heavy stains throughout and has not been professionally cleaned of allergens and bacteria since Covid started no joke here, and manager have bee inexperienced and rarely on top of day-to-day upkeep. I would avoid this gym unless you prefer all of the above. I am looking for a closer alternative with 5-Star customer service.

A great place to exercise! This gym is small but it has a good selection of equipment and a complete set of free weights too. The manager is very friendly and she is always cleaning the equipment and keeping the bathrooms clean. I have been going there for 2 years and I am looking forward to continue exercising for many years to come.

This place offers yearly membership but has a hard time telling you anything other than the weekly rate in an attempt to sell it. This location is very small, offers little amenities and charges way more than many other gyms. You have to schedule an appointment so they can quickly restock the bathrooms before you visit the facilities and they are only staffed standard hours. I would NOT advise. Drive another 10 miles and find one much better.

No issues w/staff here. The gym is cleaned promptly & well upon staff arrival in the morning. Any equipment issues that I have reported are addressed. Zena(Xena?) is always friendly & helpful. Issues w/ the bathrooms after hours should be called in as soon as observed. Members should take a little pride in the facility & throw away their own trash, water bottles, etc.

Any positive reviews of this gym has to be fake! First Impressions? There is an 8x10 sign in restrooms that reads “Attention Members: Please refrain from popping anywhere other than the toilet.”

This location and Brandon Holdings LLC is a horrible company. We are having to actually file a lawsuit against both Anytime Fitness & Bandon Holdings.

This location had an employee who gave me the wrong set of key cards when creating my account. After 30 days my keycard stopped working. I left messages for almost an entire month for customer support at the location.

I had to go see the owner of the Boerne Location just to be able to use a gym and he had looked up the keycard I was given and confirmed it was the wrong keycard.

I left a negative review on Googke and the next day the kid who managed the Leon Springs location called and begged me to delete my review(because I used his name and he didn’t want to get fired).

I told him to have my account deleted by management and delete any fees the system said I owed and he agreed. The next day he called me and told me he got Management approval to delete my account and any and all fees.
So I deleted my review and moved on with my life.
A year and a half later the collections department for Anytime Fitness has tarnished my credit and demand I paid fees.

The kid lied to my face to get me to delete the bad review.

Now I’m trying to fight Anything Fitness for what’s right.

We are retired and travel all over the USA. We have visited many Anytime Fitness locations and just LOVE them. Most locations are very clean. However, this location is not. It is, by far, the dirtiest Anytime Fitness we have ever come across. It was so dirty, I couldn’t even stand to finish my workout. The carpet is Black with dirt. The equipment is so dirty in places that you can’t see the actual color unless you wipe down the surface, (see photo). It was disgusting!
We will NEVER return to this location.

WORST BUSINESS EVER!
I tried to move my membership to another location. I CALLED, TEXTED, AND EMAILED multiple times and never received a response. The girl that worked there was rude and deliberately ignored my inquiries. She would only send “reminders” but would NEVER respond. The phone was NEVER answered.
She’s only at the gym for 4 hours a day and I explained to her that I was a first responder and could not go in person about my inquiries (because my schedule wouldn’t allow me to and the pandemic has us busy) to which her response on the phone was “you have to work around MY schedule”.
After that, it was understood that she was unwilling to work with me because of her entitled and rude attitude.
She sent me to collections and I now owe $800 because SHE didn’t want to work with me.
Thanks a lot Anytime! You sure know how to make a customer happy to be there!

An update from my last review. Moved to Austin and they still wouldn't let me cancel because there is one within 25 miles. Tried my fob there but it doesn't work. It is supposed to but i will have to take it by a location to see why it doesn't.The young lady here snickered at me on the phone when I asked again if i could cancel since now my fob wont even work. I also had to email, text twice, and call twice before I could even get someone to talk to about a new payment method so I didnt incur late fees on something I still haven't used. Still pay for a golds contract-less membership to have a gym to go to that doesn't treat me like or make me feel like a fool for giving them my money.

This location is just okay. We thought the equipment wasn’t too bad until we visited other AF locations with much nicer and newer equipment. The staff was very friendly when we were considering joining but never responded to emails once we joined and were particularly unfriendly when we no longer wanted to be members. Their go-to phrase is “I’m sorry you didn’t understand your contract.” You’re better off at another AF location or a gym like Gold’s which is cheaper and where you won’t be sucked into a contract you can’t get out of. There was also a sign up asking members not to poop anywhere except the toilets…I don’t think I need to explain why that made us uncomfortable.

Predatory contracts and used car style high pressure sales tactics. Then was shamed while being told I can't cancel a membership I never used once. Facility is also small and does not have locker room. Very surprised to be treated this way in one of the most ritzy zip codes in San Antonio. Gold's is less expensive with a better facility and a welcoming staff. Avoid this place and learn from my mistake. I will be paying these people for nothing for the next 2 years.

This place gets 1 star for the lack of cleanliness. Equipment is covered in dust and anything covered in dust is clearly not being cleaned often or throughly (pictures have been posted). A gym should strive to maintain peak cleanliness especially during a pandemic. Most people don’t wear masks and there is no attempt to make sure people are compliant. I only joined this gym due to convenience, but how disappointing that this facility can’t strive to be better.

I cancelled my membership in March, yet 3 months latter they continue to charge me. Numerous calls, and emails have been sent, yet they refuse to answer. I went in person to the office 3 times during regular business hours, yet no one was there. They continue to scam many members by continuing to illegally bill even month to month memberships. The District Attorneys office needs to intervene.

This club excels in unprofessionalism, it took me multiple attempts, visits and calling corporate to finally speak with someone who could give us some options bc of all that is happening with Covid. They basically told me if I wanted to make sure that the equipment was being sanitized and that ppl were wearing masks, I should go between 10-5 which is when “someone would be there”??! This is absurd. Additionally, the place lacks in better equipment, it feels old and dirty (yet I was just charged for upgrades???). My contract is up in Sept and the district manager (who I had to find investing many hours complaining through various Mechanisms) agreed to let me out 1 mos early, at this stage, anything helps bc I couldn’t cancel soon enough. If I ran my business this way, I would be broke and bankrupt. I would never recommend anyone join. Go elsewhere even if you have to pay a bit more.

I have been attempting to simply suspend my membership during the pandemic since April. At first, I received a response that the management would be looking into solutions. After multiple attempts to reach someone via phone, email, and through Facebook, I have still not been able to reach anyone that can help me resolve this. Emails and points-of-contacts have changed as well. I have been a loyal client for the past 4 years , recently acquired and now the gym has gone way down hill . Machines are dirty , staff never on time , wifi was not working for 2 months. Carpet hasn't been cleaned in forever . Water fountain works 50 percent of the time .Now they wont let my personal trainer train me at that location. Well was good while it lasted but excited about the new gym i just found .

Worst experience I've ever had. The manager was confrontational, rude, and threatening. When I tried to problem solve and asked him to call corporate, he flatly refused. Instead he said he would have me barred. Instead of difusing and rectifying the situation, he instead escalated it. Focusing on being right in stead of uncovering an opportunity to create a happy customer and make things right. As a veteran I don't believe anyone should be treated with intimidation or coercion. As a new member, first impressions are everything. I would not recommend this anytime Fitness to my worst enemy.
