I honestly couldn’t be happier with this gym. I’ve tried many places before and always left feeling a little unsatisfied, but here it’s completely different. The environment is welcoming, clean, and motivating from the moment you walk in. Martin (staff trainer) is very genuine and supportive!
What really sets this gym apart is how it makes me want to come back. The equipment is well-maintained as well. I’ve finally found the right fit for me. If you’ve been searching for a gym that you’ll actually love going to ,this is the one.

My first visit to this Anytime Fitness was a great experience. The gym was clean and the staff was helpful and approachable. Although Martin is the manager, he assisted me with exercises that my body was not ready to do. He was a great help!

Haven’t been into a gym in years. Last one I tried was overly crowded, expensive and there was always a wait for machines or benches. Tried AF and was hooked the first day. I can go to the facility in the medical center after work, or go to the one that’s closer to home. Martin and other staff members have always been friendly and know me by first name. Can’t go wrong with AF!!

Although I am within close distance of 2 other Anytime Fitness gyms, this one by far is my go to. The gym is always clean and they have ample space and equipment for a good workout. Staff are friendly and helpful.

One of the worst AF gyms I ever been in. Bathroom was poorly maintained, shelves on the main lobby was so dirt. Windows were also dirty, it looked like it haven't been cleaned in a long time.

Bathroom has not been cleaned since I’ve been coming here; same stains in toilet. Soap dispenser broken (atleast purchase from the dollar store), icing on the cake the ac been broken for 3 weeks now. Do better and provide a clean space.

DON'T DO IT!! I initially was excited about the gym, it was smaller than other AF and felt it was more private. I only ended up makin it in twice and could never find time. Anyhow, I started to notice instead of payin $40 I was gettin charged $80 because of late fees and was denied having the Daye changed to coincide with my pay days. I requested a cancelation and was told I could not cancel the membership because I had time left on my contract and if I wouldn't cancel, I would get a credit for the late fees. I stressed I don't use the membership and would just like to cancel and he said give it another chance. I stated my intentions to cancel as soon as my contract was up. I continued to be overcharged so I called again to cancel. To this day they still never cancelled and continued to keep charging me with added fees since the rep still would not change my pay date. Here we are over a year later... still tryna cancel and the reps still are trying to hold me hostage. I've called and emailed. Luckily I was able to call my bank and restrict them from pulling out payments, but ABc financial calls from different numbers all throughout the day all day while Im at work. So I'm sure to block each one of them. I have never seen a company hold people hostage this way. PLANET fitness is wayyyyy cheaper, cleaner, newer, and has more perks. I couldn't be happier with the switch.Never again aF

I wish that this location received a little more love. I live closer to this location, but more often find myself making the extra commute to go to the UTSA Anytime due to the lack of care this one sees. The equipment is clunky and outdated. The cushion on some have worn away to the point where doing exercises like leg curls are actually painful. The men’s restroom has had an unsightly broken urinal that has simply been covered with a white trash bag for over a year now — if you have no intention of fixing it, why keep it mounted? It can also be a bit stuffy inside with the AC, and there’s a funk in the air that isn’t quite the usual gym odors. this location is fine if you want to get a quick workout in, but there are better options in the surrounding area.

I like the gym only thing I don't like is the men using the women bathroom.
A few times, I noticed the toilet seat up and a man coming out of the women bathroom.
Usually late at night.
Also, wifi doesn't work
I do have a few favorite machines in the gym.
But I would advise any female not to shower at night.

Pros: Open 24 hours
Has some different equipment than other AF locations which is really nice.

Cons: Dirty. Lots of dust bunnies on the floor and dust lining the air vents.
It's hot, always hot. They have a little fan you can turn on, but it's falling apart and not nearly powerful enough.
Bathrooms have some old bath mats that I would never dare stand on.

I know this location is older, but it doesn't need to be dirty. The equipment needs to be cleaned. If it's going to be hot, at least have air circulating. I need this gym because it is the only one that is 24 hours, or else I'd go to the one down the street.

The staff is often late to being there during the posted office hours (12-7). I sat in there from 12-1 waiting for someone to help cancel my membership and no one was there for the full duration. The gym equipment is pretty lacking also, one squat rack and one smith machine. For the equipment available and the price you pay, this place isn't worth it.

To the people and the owner..
I was playing my own music in the phone not even loud and the owner came to me without any attitude told me to turn off my music and he keep arguing with me .
The gym was also empty only 4 customers and nobody was mad or ask you to tell me that

Btw and as I told you it's because your music is boring ...nobody go to the gym and listen to Lionel Richie or slow music people can go other places library or coffee shops to relax.
And you told me you own the gym, true...but ( you not own people)

This gym is amazing very friendly people staff and owner and i love how its anytime i can come in after work all the time but i just have one small request the 45lbs plate you guys have arent good when you deadlift the plate like to roll because the handle arent the same level as the plate itself and make me have to move which make my deadlift become unstable and uncomfortable if you guys just get a couple of 45s pair that are rounded all the way i will give this gym a million stars if i could

The place is always dusty and dirty. I really tried overlooking that so I hung on the whole year till I cancelled. When canceling, they give you a 1800 number because they sold your account. You have to call to get the company to cancel.It took an hour to try to get someone to understand me. Apparently, they outsource the call center. It was a nightmare and I couldn’t understand why I had to do the calling to a company I knew nothing about when it was with Anytime Fitness that i made my contract with. The next month they called me and told me I was still not canceled. It was a mess. Stay away from this place.

Good gym turned bad would my my subject line for this gym.
When you try to cancel the membership, they do not accept phone calls to ABC Financials, this is the owner of Anytime Fitness, and also don't accept messages send through the message portal.
But even when you manage to have them accept an email, you will still be charged for month at a time and this gym tries to collect from me right this moment.
After I moved their nearest gym is over 20 miles away but they don't accept this to get out of a month by month contract.
I am happy to change my rating to two maybe three stars when you guys stop trying to get money from someone with a disability.

An update, after they are accepting your cancellation by email, they just go on charging you since you didn't drop by or send a paper letter by snail mail.

I really tried to like give this gym a chance but it is hard to get an efficient work out in. The machines are very old and have limited ROM. The pulley machines are not great and there is very limited cardio equipment. There is always a mess and weights left everywhere. I wish this gym was better since it is the closest to me but I will now avoid this location until management decides to upgrade the equipment.

UPDATE: The manager, Abby reached out to me and was concerned about my review, stating that they try their best to keep their customers happy and they are trying to get the gym switched over from the past owners. She has been extremely nice and stated they are working on getting this gym upgraded but it will take some time. She really impressed me with her great customer service and has made me change my view about the medical center location. I am looking forward to the upgrades!

This was a really nice gym before the new owners took over.
The gym was always clean, now it's always filthy.
Used to have 2 recumbent bikes, now none. (except for one of the old ones that is pushed against a wall to catch dust because the new owners are too ignorant to know how to reset the computer)
The Nautilus machines were set up in a nice orderly circuit, now some idiot has them pushed up into bunches that have no logical order except to block all traffic flow and catch extra dust and trash.

UPDATE:
It's now over 2 months later and they have not replaced any recumbent bikes. 2 months and all you will ever get out of these clowns are lies about all of the great improvements they are making. Nothing has been improved, it's still filthy and no new equipment that was promised.

The owners of this location also have the location on Tezel Rd. Their suggestion is to drive 8-10 miles to the Tezel location if you want to use the recumbent bike. Real quality management, it shows how much they value your membership.

Worst gym I've ever been to. They let people break the equipment then don't fix it. They will stop responding to your requests to fix the equipment. They do nothing about people constantly dropping the weights, which creates an abusive and highly annoying environment to work out in. Worst of all they don't do month to month, even if they claim to do so. So you're stuck with a horrible gym for a year. The best they will do for you will is to tell you to go to another horrible location. Avoid this gym at all costs, cause you will be paying $45 a month for broken equipment while your ears bleed from the weight droppers.

Loose seats and cables are showing signs of needing replacement. The dust and dirt complaint from someone who reviewed on here is true. Spider webs and dust bunnies everywhere. This was my first Anytime fitness location. Absolutely love how clean, organized it is, and the quality of the machines. This location has a great community of people, and superb employees.
