This is the very first time I have to ever leave a negative review.

My wife was about to wrap up her workout with the leg press machine. Before I continue, the manager was already in the same area the entire time we were.
Anyway, their were eight plates on the leg press, I put two of them on the rack of the other machine and the rest I laid them next to the machine in case she was going to use them.

Our son was starting to be fussy in need of a diaper change so she wrapped up her workout. We were leaving the gym with leaving the plates on the floor since we were in a rush. The manager got my attention and asked me to put them back.

I went back and put them back on the leg press machine where they originally were. Then he told me to put them on the rack of the other machine. I refused. They were already on the machine prior to it being used.

He proceeded to cancel my wifes membership after she was already charged for this month. She had no fault whatsoever.
If im in the wrong, I understand. I’ll take responsibility, I didn’t feel the need to put them on another machines rack whenever I didn’t take them from there to begin with. Didn’t even cancel my membership, and I’m assuming it’s because they want to charge me before they do cancel it.

The gym isn’t bad but the management is definitely garbage. Or maybe in need of replacement.

It is a decent gym, the only reason I would give them this low a rating is that they're atrocious at billing and communication. In my 1-year of membership, I have been inconsistently billed, overbilled, and when I quit, they billed me for an additional month after I asked to quit. In each instance, it typically takes over a month's worth of persistant emails to get them to correct their errors. It's been almost 2 months since they billed me for the extra month, I've all but given up on getting anything back from them. The gym has nice equipment and a decent staff, it just seems mismanaged regarding billing and communication. For that reason, I would not suggest it.

I got a gym membership last year before they moved locations.
After they had moved, it made the trip to the gym 40 minutes one way. Since I work afternoons, my gym time lands in rush hour traffic.
I called them and told them their move wouldn’t work for me.
The person that answered the phone was incredibly rude and told me that it didn’t matter that they moved, I still needed to finish the contract.
The conversation left me frustrated and yes, they are still charging my account. I’m not sure what to do next but I want my money back

I recently signed up for a membership at Athletic Empire, hoping for a great experience. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. I only used the membership once and decided to cancel the next day. Despite this, I was still charged $80. I understand that contracts are binding, but charging the full amount for such minimal usage feels unreasonable. I hope Athletic Empire will consider more flexible policies for new members in the future.

Very poor communication. We went and worked out Tuesday this week, to come by today to work out and there is a paper taped to the door saying they are closed for content creating purposes. Why wasn’t I informed this on Tuesday, 2 days before? And no signs indicated this inconvenience on Tuesday either. Why wasn’t there a notice sent out to customers? Especially when we pay for a 24/7 gym. They also don’t uphold all standards in the gym. Water filters on fountains were not replaced in a timely manner. Workers are friendly, but not helpful.

Athletic Empire gym is not just a regular and basic gym. This gym treat you like family. The staff is very professional and they have great customer service. This place is very clean and great. The lobby is very modern and clean. Also the environment has very good vibes.

Athletic empire is a great warehouse gym. Love the environment and atmosphere they have created here. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly and it just feels like home. No they don’t have AC but who cares, it’s Texas it’s gonna be hot regardless and they have all the doors open for the breeze and the fans on high. Athletic Empire is the reason I’m shooting for the stars. I plan to one day compete on stage. The ppl here are great, from the staff to everyone else training. The work, the energy, the motivation here is second to none. Special recognition to Tommy Harmer who is a IFBB Pro & Head Trainer at AE. One of the best if not the best, in fitness world. Tommy will motivate and push you to meet your goals; as well as teach you exactly what you need to know and how to do it. I happen to meet the owner great guy great conversations gym really makes you feel like your someone very cozy lobby area i like the decorations due to holidays.
here are a few pros and cons in my opinion
1 i love the prices of drinks and day passes
2 the passes are 24hrs i hope they never change that
3 staff is amazing everyone i met doesn't brush you off very friendly and some remember you very quickly
4 restrooms are always clean and they have procedures to beat covid spreading
5 the size of the gym its self very good size it gives you what it has right there no gimmicks or bs
6 they friendly environment every one i met is nice and very supportive
7 the outdoor gym is helpful on those hot days
8 they let you record always a plus
9 chalk is always full music always loud never a dull moment
10 they promotes athletes on their page
cons
1 those hot days are brutal
and thats not the owners fault just texas in general great gym will always continue to support the gym and thank you all for taking us in with open arms

Last minute gym trip because my gym was closed on a Sunday. Decided to get a day pass and test it out because I have a few friends that go here. First thing, It looks a lot bigger in pictures, equipment looks quite crowded but it is decent equipment. Equipment is quite old and looks as if it was just scrap from the extra location. Only bad thing that should be fixed right away was one of the cable machines wires were sticking out of the cable and left punctures on my friends arm. If you want to sweat, you are definitely going to sweat! Which I don’t mind. I didn’t catch the name of the guy working the front desk but he was super cool, professional and friendly. Other than that an Overall good gym, just the details made the gym only a good gym and not a great gym.

One of the most underrated gyms to go to. If you are a bodybuilder, I definitely recommend going here, it’s a private gym just the way I like with no one to bother you.
