After years of living with chronic back pain, surgery, and frustrating flare-ups, I walked into my first session with Dr. Jess at Next Move and Austin Art of Fitness with one simple goal: I just wanted to be able to play with my nieces and nephews without throwing my back out. After a rough visit that left me sidelined for two weeks from just 15 minutes in a bouncy house, I wasn’t dreaming big, I just wanted to function again.
When we started, I had zero range of motion in my hips, spine, and glutes. But Dr. Jess met me exactly where I was. She listened, she understood the emotional weight of reinjury, and she built a plan that didn’t just work around my limitations, it helped me move past them.
Fast forward 18 months, and today I completed my final session before a cross country move. My goal was to deadlift 100 lbs. I finished at 155 lbs. I've been a member at AAOF for almost two years now, and it's the first gym and trainer that have really kept me hooked! The sense of community here is amazing—everyone feels welcome. Beyond the fantastic atmosphere, my trainer Jess has been instrumental in helping me achieve strength levels I never imagined possible. Dealing with cervical issues could have derailed me, but Jess's PT expertise guided me to a place where I'm not only stronger but also pain-free.

Been working out at AAOF for a little over 6 months now and couldn’t be happier. Every workout with Veronica has gotten us great workouts but never too sore to function. We’ve worked out with her in group classes and semi private, both types have extremely well tailored workouts to help us reach our fitness goals. I would recommend her to anyone. Plus the facility is always very clean and has pretty much any piece of equipment you would need.

I’ve been a client at AAOF since 2019. I had memberships to large gyms in the past but the environment was intimidating. I felt like I was being watched and judged. I eventually realized that I needed a smaller setting with professional guidance, so I sought out a personal trainer. Jonathan, the owner of AAOF, transformed the way I think about having a personal trainer and about working out. His approach is thoughtful, creative and are tailored to me. The gym is meticulously curated and impeccably clean. Its unpretentious size helps nurture a good, supportive community vibe too. Everyone is friendly and supportive and I know most of them by name.

I have been going here since it first opened. The trainers have helped me through all my injuries and still get me to my fitness goals. They listen to me when I have pain but also know when to push me. I've been going to gyms and using personal trainers for years to stay healthy and this is by far my favorite place. The trainers are invested in everyone no matter what shape, size or goals people have. I can't recommend it enough!
