I have been taking Pilates from Susan Caldwell for 15 years. I started training with her after I had a fall that caused a serious sprained ankle. I knew that I needed to become more aware of where I step and also work on my balance. Since taking Pilates from Susan, my balance is so much better as well as my walking posture. Susan is a great instructor who can empathize with her clients as well as teach us the Pilates skills. Her machines & work out space are meticulously clean. I have hearing problems so being able to work with her individually has been great for me. I look forward to being greeted by her adorable dog Cocoa when I arrive! I look forward to coming to Pilates & always feel much better when I leave.

I have been lucky to have Susan as my pilates instructor for over 6 years and would recommend her to anyone. She makes exercise both fun and joyful! The workouts have really helped with my strength, posture , and overall well-being. Her adorable dog Cocoa Lynette sits patiently through the sessions and only add to the wonderful ambience. Susan is really the best at what she does!

I have done Pilates off and on since I was in college. I moved to Austin over 20 years ago and had never found a teacher here that I liked. I started class with Susan several years ago and she is by far the best Pilates teacher I have ever had. Working with her has been a joy in every way. She is a skilled instructor, a kind and generous mentor and she makes exercise fun and enjoyable. I have a crazy busy life, but my favorite time in all of it is the time I spend doing Pilates with Susan. It grounds me and allows me to feel stronger and more confident in all that I do. I have some health issues and at times pain I have to work around, Susan is brilliant at modifying sessions and addressing injuries and other issues. Doing Pilates with her has changed my life and I would recommend her to anyone, whether you’re just wanting to try Pilates or you have been doing it for years. She is the best of the best!

I've been taking classes from Susan for a couple of years now, and I love how I feel after each class! Susan is patient, but also willing to challenge me to strengthen my core, lengthen my leg muscles, and open up my hips. Now my husband also sees Susan to help with an injured knee. We're both grateful to have her in our lives as our Pilates instructor and our dear friend!

I recently retired as a school teacher and knew it was time to make my health a priority. I had a weak core and muscle fatigue. After only a short time with Susan at AGP, my core is so much stronger and the daily muscle fatigue I felt in my legs is gone! I feel stronger and walk longer. So I found Susan on Groupon and thought it would be risk free trying Pilates with a deal like that. At the time I had NO idea just how much I would enjoy it. She specializes in injuries (which I have in my lower back) and she has the expertise to really make sure you are learning the correct way to do it which is terribly important. I've seen her 5 times now and just signed up for a package of 11! I live in South Austin so it's quite a hike for me but I promise you she is worth the drive. Her experience will get you to show up and her caring personality will keep you coming back. Oh, then there's the little fact of that I feel stronger already which doesn't suck!

Susan was absolutely incredible! It was my first experience doing Pilates, she walked me through everything, assisting and encouraging me the entire way. After I had my children I found I had really lost having a strong core. I'm a yoga instructor but my core was so weak I kept hurting my back doing yoga. Fortunately I was lucky enough to meet Susan and have her train me in Pilates. Susan helped me recover physical core strength but also really to recover in so many ways in my life! She cares, she held me accountable in a firm disciplined way but with humor and love. She is technically excellent and an excellent teacher. I cannot recommend her enough!

In 2014 I was ready to invest in my personal fitness goals. Within those first months of practice with Susan, my husband told me that my stronger tighter muscles were looking good on me! A formerly achy back, cranky knees and weak legs are a nuisance of the past and friends want to know what I'm doing to keep so lean. I've tried the gym route, the machines-in-the-circle route and walking-in-my-neighborhood-only route to strength. Pilates with Susan is effective, safe and her wit and repertoire of great background music (never 'elevator music') make it fun.

I reached out to Susan because I had been in a car accident with soft tissue injuries that were taking a very long time to heal using traditional physical therapy methods. I immediately trusted Susan because she had personal injuries that she overcame with Pilates.

Within weeks, my entire body was feeling strong (from the inside) and I could tell that the places where I felt strength increasing were helping the points of pain that I was having a hard time with.

I'm now 6 months into Pilates, my pain levels are the lowest they have ever been, my body is stronger and leaner, and I feel like I am just getting started.
Susan also gives me so many pointers to use when I walk out of my session. I always have 'extra' knowledge of things to focus on and try to help my body be the best it can be....from the way I hold my body, to the way I walk and breathe.

I love that there is still more to come because I love being challenged. I know that as Susan progresses me with more advanced exercises, I will increase my strength and it will help me to maintain a solid and balanced body, everyday, life for the rest of my life.
