I am so grateful that our daughter found Kula Karate. She started her second semester of Kindergarten and hasn't missed a semester since then! She's now 10 with a green belt and aspires to earn her black belt. The quality of the Kula instructors and the connections they make with their students is exceptional. Master Wayne, in particular, is a rare combination of a fabulous instructor, able to keep the attention of youngsters, and (compassionately and kindly) take-no-crap. We've had several family members observe a Kula Karate class, and each have independently RAVED about how amazing the instruction was, and how rare it was to find such great mentors. We are the biggest Kula Karate fans and if you're considering karate options, Kula FTW!

Our kindergarten has loved kula karate. It is an inviting atmosphere for kids to get into karate as a new sport. The instructors keep her engaged for an entire hour including for meditation

My son loved this experienced! He did the Ninja, Nun-chucks and Board Breaking class over the summer with Kula Karate and he enjoyed every week he got to go. Reasonable price for the class. I'm excited they offer after school lessons at his elementary school so we can continue in the Fall. Thanks Kula!

The team at Kula Karate is truly fantastic. My daughter absolutely loves Master Wayne and Nancy. They do an incredible job of connecting with the kids and always bringing out their best - both face to face and now through technology. My daughter always has fun and she has learned so much! We can’t say enough about the positive experience we have had.

My daughter has loved Kula, both at her elementary school and now online by Zoom. She has grown from kinder to tween with Kula, and it has taught her confidence, strength and balance. The online class is the high point of her week.

Kula Karate has been an outstanding influence in my son's life. I have watched him grow and improve his physical skills. He asks me to set a meditation timer for him during the week and he loves going to class. Even though it is now a Zoom class, it has not lost any of its effectiveness. Master Wayne is so patient and expects the best each student can give. Ms. Nancy is so helpful and encouraging. We love Kula Karate.

Both of my sons love attending Kula Karate! Nancy and Master Wayne are great with the children and do an amazing job of keeping them engaged and involved in the class. My sons are always so excited to attend Kula Karate and we look forward to being a part of the Kula family for years to come!

Master Wayne & Nancy are the hands down the best instructors to teach the art of Karate, especially to children. Their patience is amazing and the amount of progress you see in your son/daughter throughout the semester will surpass all of your expectation. In addition to doing their job so well and teaching kids of all age the art of Karate, they make it fun & engaging for the kids but the kids also take away more from that type of teaching. I could not recommend Kula Karate any higher and would give them 6 stars if they could. Keep up the great work and we're already looking forward to next Semester.

I couldn't be happier with our experience at Austin Kula Karate, in less than a year, we have seen huge growth in our son, not only in skill, but in self-awareness, mindfulness and respect for others. He LOVES Karate class and looks forward to it all week. Wayne and Nancy strike a perfect balance in teaching discipline, technique and FUN! In fact, we just celebrated my son's 6th Birthday with Kula Karate and it was fabulous!

My 6 yr. old has attended after-school classes at Kula and really wanted his birthday there as well. We could not have had a better experience. Nancy was extremely helpful in getting all the details pulled together before the party. She, Brooke, and Danica were EXCELLENT with the party-goers. I was nervous that so many 6 y.o.s might get a *little* out of hand;)...but they were absolute pros at motivating the kids, encouraging them, supporting them to try new moves, and kept them engaged and focused. The party was a total success, and I highly recommend Kula for lessons and/or a party!
