I’ve been to this studio several times and have always enjoyed the classes and teachers here. The ones I’ve had have all been very experienced. It’s a nice environment and I appreciate that they periodically offer free classes, like free week etc. I took off stars because I recently called to ask about using ClassPass for a virtual class and both people I spoke to directly asked why I couldn’t just come in to the studio. I found it really rude and embarrassing to have to answer that. People have different accessibility needs which is why it’s helpful to have the virtual class option and we shouldn’t have to explain ourselves. Even after explaining why I wanted a virtual class, there wasn’t any real movement toward making it possible for me to sign up on ClassPass, which is the only affordable option for attending a single class. I was told that ClassPass was too difficult to figure out how to add a class to. Anyway, I was really disappointed by the intrusiveness and subsequent lack of effort put into accessibility in this instance.

Outstanding studio. I visited from out of town and took Vicky's Saturday Iyengar class. She is extremely knowledgeable and attentive to individual student adjustments. The space is clean and well stocked with props. Someone could certainly deepen their traditional yoga practice here.

I absolutely love the Austin Yoga tree… I started with a week trial and it has many yoga classes as I could. All of the teachers are so different and they offer a variety of different types of classes suitable for all shapes sizes and abilities and bonus. They have a yoga wall where you could do so many other different types of yoga, hanging heads stand, and hanging plow… You’re able to work so many other types of body parts you didn’t even know you had. They do focused Iyengar Yoga which focuses on alignment… this is definitely a unique studio and you won’t find any others like it in and around Austin

Believe the five star reviews for Austin Yoga Tree.

At 85, I am blessed to be called the studio's matriarch. The teachers have been phenomenal in teaching all ages. (Please see the attached photo taken one day before my 85th in July)

Through the years I have practiced in many other studios. Austin Yoga Tree is definitely a cut above. Again. Trust the five star reviews.

I've been going here regularly for a year and a half. I bought the annual membership twice during their Black Friday sale. The quality of the teachers is top-notch and they have a good variety of class styles. It's a really welcoming studio. They always have tea available and the people at the front desk make an effort to learn everyone's name and greet you when you come in.

Stop scrolling, Austin Yoga Tee is THE landing space you are looking for! Personally, I travel to Lake Travis area quite frequently and for years, searched for a space to practice outside of my own home….and this time around, I spent the week at Austin Yoga Tree- and I am so grateful I did. They have a variety of classes, times and very fluent teachers! I have been practicing for 18 years and teaching myself for 10, and I felt very held and open to possibility inside of the space. I definitely recommend it!

I am verrrry picky about my yoga and tried several different studios before joining Austin Yoga Tree. The Iyengar classes here are top notch! The quality of the teaching is so motivating, and I have fun at the same time. I drive 30 minutes from Georgetown to get to the studio, and it is well worth the traffic. All the extra workshops and sound baths are a bonus. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The quality of teaching at AYT and the community it fosters are truly unsurpassed. After practicing different styles of yoga for 20 years, I had no idea my standing posture was mis-aligned or why my left hip hurt in warrior 2 until AYT. Practicing with the Iyengar trained instructors here has given me an intelligence about my body that I never had before and, equally as important, mental stillness and emotional health. Thank you, AYT!

All of the instructors are great but I would like to especially thank Jonathan. I have had arthritis in my shoulders for years and have done lots of physical therapy on my shoulders. Nothing helped for very long, but after one class with Jonathan I feel better, I can move better and I can put my seatbelt on in the car without wincing every time. I highly recommend Austin Yoga Tree

Great studio and teachers. I love having the choice on line class or in person classes. When on line I always feel included and part if the class. I've gained strength and increased flexibility. Favorite instructors are Vickie for Hatha and iyenger yoga , Tiffany for vinyasa flow and Johnathon for iyenger. What luck to have such a great down to earth studio here in Anderson Mill.

Update:

I now can say emphatically (after 18 months here) that this yoga studio has had an impactful effect on my life. Besides getting me into a regular routine with the Vinyasa with Weights classes 2x a week and checking out the morning classes, I have developed strong friendships with others in the classes. In today's society you don't often meet people in your neighborhood because everyone is so busy. Coming here I see how similar we all are and how we help each other get through daily challenges. I have a membership at a local gym but this is my spot. I especially like the later evening classes. So often a neighborhood yoga studio will have their latest class at 6pm. That doesn't work with working. The 7:30pm class allows me to head there after having some dinner with the family. What more can you ask for? Work/Family/Self-Care- getting it all in.

Initially I came during a free week to support a friend, but i quickly realized that Austin Yoga Tree is exactly what I needed. Being part of a community is so important. I thoroughly enjoy Liberty's Vinyasa class with weights and Amelia's Sunday morning flow. I am so glad my friend asked me to try out a class. Thanks for the staff and owners providing such a wonderful studio in Northwest Austin.

I was given a 3 day training for my birthday. Two days before the training my mother passed and I was told I was not able to get a refund. Eventually I was given a half refund for the training only. ( I had rented props as well). I can't even begin to describe the feeling of having to justify a refund two days after watching my mom die. The lack of understanding or compassion was painful and completely antithetical to ahimsa ( loving kindness). The focus on profit over people just hurt. I'm sure the studio is great and the teachers are great. But the business operations- not great.

Great yoga studio - bright space, friendly staff (shoutout to Emely!) and kind owners. Favorite instructors are Liberty, Laura, and Melissa - love the vinyasa classes! This studio frequently has deals or some sort of incentive to sign up for membership. Every now and again they offer free yoga classes to the community, which is a great way to include family and friends and reach underprivileged individuals who maybe couldn't otherwise afford a yoga class. To top it off, the owners are caring and community-oriented. If you don't like one teacher, just come back and try a different class because you'll find one who fits your style. I've been trying different kinds of classes to decide which I like best and this class is my absolute favorite so far. It was my first time doing yoga with weights and I wasn't sure what was walking into. Jill explained all the moves so well that it was easy to follow along. She had great energy and attitude throughout the whole class. I really felt valued when both Monica & Jill made a point to come introduce themselves to me as they recognized I was a newcomer. That made me feel very welcomed. This workout was definitely a nice burn and now one of my favorite yoga classes. I will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!

Yoga Tree is a wonderful yoga studio with a team of experienced teachers and kind, supportive staff. I joined studio because of my amazing teacher and friend, Laura. It’s hard to put into words what an impact joining her every week for class for the last couple of years has had on me and my life. Her class has given me something to look forward to each week during a very challenging time in my life. It has been much needed centering self care. She is gentle and kind, but also kicks my butt with her vinyasa flow with weights class. It has everything I need from grounding meditation to challenging core work, full body strengthening, and an aerobic workout. The music is just perfect ranging from relaxing to fun and upbeat. I always feel fulfilled like I’ve really done something good for my body, mind and spirit. I truly love Laura and her classes. It’s like she always knows just what i need. And I can’t wait wait to try other types of classes with other Yoga Tree teachers. I have really enjoyed the communal experience of doing yoga in group classes. Yoga Tree is a positive and welcoming space. The guidance and support has truly been a gift!

I am a huge fan of Austin Yoga Tree, a studio/community. I have been attending since January, 2019 and my first instructor was Dustin Turner. I had never attended a yoga class before and had no idea what it was all about so I was a little stressed and anxious. After a couple of classes I knew yoga was for me. A few months later I added another Hatha class which was taught by Joanne Sanchez who is another awesome instructor. I find all the teachers are very qualified, welcoming and caring. AYT has my vote for the best yoga studio in Austin. Please check them out and I know you will not be disappointed.

The team who works here is amazing. They are welcoming and friendly. Also it was so easy to start here as a complete novice to yoga.

Prepandemic I attended physical classes here. They helped me get all set up and helped me figure out how to correctly do poses as a beginner.

Also, they are super good about accommodating injuries and making adjustments so each person can personalize their practice.

I was a fan of Bikram Yoga until I started Iyengar yoga at Austin Yoga Tree and I've found my perfect place! I've been going to AYT for the last 4 yrs now.

A few things to highlight:
1. Very friendly staff and owners
2. Teachers are super awesome (And I mean it)!!! I have started doing yoga more frequently just because of the quality of teachers they have.
3. Each teacher has a style so it gives a lot of variety.
4. They have competitive pricing, which is a plus as well.
5. They tend to have workshops and teacher trainings on a regular basis.

They all have different styles but are amazing in their own way. I love this place and have been coming here for a while now. Check it out. It's not like your typical yoga studio as they use a lot of props, but I found that my alignment and form is much better in doing so. I highly recommend this place.

I have been attending classes at Austin Yoga Tree for almost a year and consider it very worthwhile. The instructors offer great insight into poses in regards to muscle involvement, weight distribution, joint position, and awareness. I never would have believed the body and mind engagement one can strive for in what appears to be a simple standing pose. I am not a flexible person and the instructors have been good at finding compromises for me to get benefits from each endeavor. The facility is open and comfortable. The classes that use the "wall" are fun and allow variation on floor poses. All props and mats are provided. So what do I have to say after a year? ... I feel better!

After having been going here regularly for 3 months now I wonder why I didn't start much earlier. I love coming here. I love the people. I love the teachers.
I'm so thankful that modifications are made for me (I have MS) and I still come out feeling so worked out. In the time I've been going here I've only ever seen regulars coming in. I have never found a studio like this one. At Austin Yoga Tree, Jonathan and Edith have created a safe place for all bodies and minds. They have become family to my family, and have always been gracious and supportive of us ever since we began taking classes here two years ago. The teachers are phenomenal (take a class with Dustin or Nicki!!), and they are home to a wide variety of classes and workshops. Life Mastery, Yoga Therapy, Meditation, Yin Yoga with Singing Bowls... Vikki was incredibly welcoming and very friendly when I first visited the studio. That’s why I would like to give two stars, because I truly believe the community at Austin yoga tree is nice and welcoming.

I attended the Iyengar yoga class with Sheryl. She is very knowledgeable and goes out of her way to help every student if they’re struggling with their practice.

However, there’s never a reason to be unkind or call someone out if they can not perform every pose during class. I have taken many different yoga classes before and have never experienced someone being called out or repeatedly being used as a bad example if they decide to quietly sit back and take in as much as they can during class. There is no need to ask the entire class if the instructions are too difficult, simply to make a point and invalidate someone else’s opinion or feeling during that moment. Everyone has a different level of experience, tolerance and capability to perform their practice.

Yoga, to me, is a kind and accepting practice where everyone goes at their own pace. I am very disappointed that anyone, in this case the teacher, would think it is alright to comment negatively on a personal decision (due to medical issues) to not perform every pose or decide to sit back for the rest of the class.

Unfortunately, this was my first experience with Austin Yoga Tree. I will not return for another class and can not recommend the class.

I absolutely love this place. The passionate, kind, and knowledgeable teachers teach techniques for both the mind and the body. I’ve never felt such deep stretches or worked some tiny muscles aren’t targeted in other fitness classes. I love how the teachers adjust our posture and teach us proper alignment. The supportive environment gives me a sense of belonging despite my complete lack of flexibility and coordination when I first started. Fortunately for me, they work with prior injuries (knee, shoulder, back, etc.). The teachers effectively modified moves using props to provide additional support where needed or teach another version of the exercise.

Disclaimer: I have not tried all the classes. To highlight teachers of the classes I regularly attend:

Jonathan’s compassion, joy, and love for each and every one of his students/classes/staff is contagious. He shares useful tools in Life Mastery Coaching that I regularly use to improve my mood, focus, and productivity. Unlike self-help, he tailors the session to our needs and holds us accountable for our homework when he checks on us our next class. I’ve learned to change my thought patterns, how to stay mindful, and to improve my self-awareness.

I admire Amanda's vast knowledge of the human body, passion for teaching, and creativity in combining techniques. Her barre and Pilates classes provide intense but safe workouts. I've learned so much about eccentric vs concentric contraction, muscles I wasn't previously aware of, and how to take care of my body. My whole core, glutes, and thigh areas are stronger than ever after a few months of her classes.

Pablo’s detailed technical approach and individual adjustments exceeds my expectations for the ideal yoga class. I've never imagined that I could hold half the poses that I've learned from both Jonathan and Pablo. I'm thankful for being able to experience Pablo's creative dance class, where I could relax my mind and be in the moment with how my body feels. The approach of working against the muscle memory that my brain developed in the past felt strange, but exciting. I gained the confidence to fully tell stories through body movements.
