I love this place and community of partners in fitness! I joined in June and still look forward to my 5:30 a.m. group fitness class. Tyler's coaching and uniquely choreographed workouts keep me challenged and motivated, and makes fitness fun.

I have been coming to this gym for over 6 months- and every day it never fails to push me beyond my limits in the best way possible.
The encouragement, resources, knowledge and fellowship is unparalleled. I’ve been a member of several gyms and have never felt a PART OF the way I do here… this is more than a gym!
Thanks Tyler and BAF crew!

The training and client community at this gym are great, but management’s attitude and handling of customer feedback are not.

I initially joined because the owner was knowledgeable and the environment was positive. The training itself is excellent, but my experience with ownership was disappointing.

Despite communicating clearly and respectfully, I was met with defensive and dismissive responses rather than constructive dialogue. Poor communication and dismissal of client concerns turned what should have been a supportive fitness environment into an uncomfortable one, which ultimately led me to cancel.

To make matters worse, I was charged a $225 cancellation fee even though I had just paid $200 for the month and wouldn’t be using the remainder. I even offered to pay an additional $100 to end my contract early, but that was declined. It’s frustrating to see a business prioritize rigid policy over fairness and client care.

What a great place this is! I have been regularly doing the classes for over 8 months and am in the best shape of my life. I started with a few weeks of personal trainings which were very helpful in learning all of the movements we do in the group classes (not to mention also great workouts). All of the coaches are engaged and truly care about helping one achieve their fitness goals. The style of workout (eg strength, cardio, HIIT) and muscle group focus is a bit different each day. The coaches are well trained and know how to structure workouts over the course of days, weeks and months for optimal results. The community is also great; I’ve made many new friends! Highly recommend!!

Joining Bishops Arts Fitness has been a game changer for my fitness across the 3 months I have been a member. I have been able to improve both from a strength training and cardiovascular point of view. The group training classes have continually challenged me and pushed me to my limits, and are appropriate to all levels of fitness as coaches accommodate for each individual trainee. The community is incredibly welcoming and provides a great atmosphere to work out in. Tyler and Becca are heavily invested in their trainees and create a safe and fun environment for everyone at the gym. I highly encourage anyone interested in group training and crossfit to consider joining this wonderful community!

Almost a year since I joined Bishop Arts Fitness, I guess it’s time to write a review... and honestly, it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. I’ve gained so much—not just muscle (though yeah, some of that too), but real knowledge, confidence, and mental toughness. And not just in the gym, but in everyday life.

When I first started, I wasn’t super confident in my technical ability to perform basic movements well and to standard, squat specifically and I kinda feared group session workouts, without even knowing what a workout entailed. So, I did a few months of personal training with Tyler, which was a game-changer. He helped me build a solid foundation, gave me feedback, discovered and helped improve on my opportunities while gaining the confidence to jump into group sessions. That one-on-one time made a huge difference.

Nutrition was another big win. I thought I had a decent handle on macros and calories, but Tyler broke it down in a way that actually clicked and actionable. I applied what I learned and dropped about 30 pounds in just a few months. It wasn’t magic! It was application, education and consistency.

The group workouts are awesome. The programming is super thoughtful and changes week to week, targeting different movements and muscle groups. You’ll do stuff you’ve probably never done before, like Olympic lifts, but the coaches are all about proper technique and making sure you’re doing things safely. And no matter your fitness level, the workouts can be adjusted so you’re always challenged but never overwhelmed.

Another big shift for me, outside of the workouts and fitness gains, was changing the community I surrounded myself with. At Bishop Arts Fitness, I found a group of people who genuinely care about showing up, putting in the work, and supporting each other. Building a new community around fitness has been one of the most important parts of this journey. The energy here is contagious. You’re constantly surrounded by people who challenge you, encourage you, and help you stay consistent, not just with your workouts, but with your mindset and goals.

It’s not just about lifting weights or hitting PRs (but it kinda is 😉) it’s about being part of something bigger. The people here celebrate your wins, help you push through tough days, and hold you accountable in the best way. There’s a shared commitment to growth, and that creates a strong sense of stability and routine. I’ve built some amazing friendships along the way, and those connections have made the experience even more meaningful.

Being part of this community has helped me stay motivated, focused, and excited to keep showing up. It’s a place where you’re not just working on your fitness—you’re growing alongside others who are doing the same.

If you’re thinking about joining, do it. Bishop Arts Fitness isn’t just a place to work out!

I’m new to class fitness (I’ve been solo-ing it for a few years now), and any expectations I had have been completely blown out of the water—in the best way.

Everyone is suuuuuper nice, and Tyler is great about introducing new people so that no one feels left out. He’s got a non-aggressive coaching style so you don’t have to worry about getting yelled at. He’s very present, walks around and checks on you repeatedly, giving you plenty of chances to ask questions or get help.

And he clearly knows his stuff, he’s helping me correct tons of bad form behavior I’ve developed over the years.

I get excited to work out each day, and I gotta say, my jeans are getting tighter in all the right places 🍑 wahoo!

Tyler has built a community that makes showing up a positive experience full of friendly faces. Every day the workouts are thoughtfully planned, and can be modified to meet me where I'm at. I've never felt better about any of the gyms or programs I've tried before- and trust me, there have been many!

Life often gets heavy, and one of the best ways to strengthen the mind and spirit is through physical training. I’m happy to have made the decision to get back to training at BAF. They are totally knowledgeable in their field, guiding people of different ages and conditions towards improving their physical condition. I workout in a friendly environment, clean and using machines that help achieve the best and most effective results. Tyler, Jade and Becca are fantastic at supporting each of the participants. Give yourself a chance to visit BAF, highly recommended.

“Love this place! After knee surgery I couldn’t even run, and now I’m running without pain and improving my form every week. Four months in, I’m stronger physically and mentally, more disciplined in my daily life, and I enjoy pushing through tough workouts. The workouts are motivating, the team environment is supportive, and the coach knows how to get the best out of you. Couldn’t recommend it more!”

I can’t recommend Tyler and Bishops Arts Fitness enough! I started working with him after a shoulder injury, and their knowledge, patience, and personalized approach made all the difference in my recovery. He tailored every workout to support my healing while still keeping things challenging

Tyler puts a lot into his programming. The workouts are always fun, varied, and thoughtfully designed—not just to build strength but also to keep us motivated.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury or just looking for a trainer who truly knows their stuff, Tyler and Bishop Arts Fitness is fantastic.

It’s been 3 years since I moved to Dallas and I have to say that Bishop Arts Fitness has been a game changer for the better. I started my health journey a few years back and have not met a coach like Tyler. He’s very intentional and wants to see you succeed. You’ll start off with a one on one conversation with him, then he’ll start to assess how you do in the workouts and provide helpful suggestions and feedback. The people who come here are friendly and we do the workouts together- not a competitive vibe.
If you’re looking for a gym where you want to challenge yourself for the better, have a supportive (sometimes sarcastic but good banter lol) coach, and be around people who are with you along the journey then Bishop Arts Fitness is for you. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a really good coach who intentionally wants to see me succeed and keeps me accountable, and wants to teach. Tyler is the real deal!

This is the best CrossFit-style gym I've found in the area. Good programming, friendly vibes, excellent coaching. Tyler worked with me on my Olympic lifting right off the bat, helped me find efficiencies in my power clean and gave me a routine to refine my technique. The gym had all the equipment of an established CrossFit gym, also less grungy than your average box.

Tyler is a patient and encouraging coach. He’s worked with me through old knee injuries and insecurities. His program is scalable to all levels of fitness which has helped me regain confidence in different exercises that I didn’t think I’d be able to do again. He focuses on proper form and technique and will give nudges when he thinks you can handle more weight. I highly recommend Tyler and Bishop Arts Fitness.

I have been a member since mid-August 2024, and I regularly attend 3-5 sessions per week. The results have been impressive. I’ve lost 8lbs, and at the same time, I have gained a noticeable amount of muscle. Each day, Tyler plans a variety of exercise routines that are challenging for his young, “fit” clients, but importantly, each exercise can be scaled to accommodate older, less-fit folks like me, and everyone in between. Throughout the workout session, Tyler observes each student to ensure they are following proper, safe techniques. At the same time, he offers “encouragement” when it is apparent someone is giving less than 100% effort. I also appreciate that he provides helpful tips to students experiencing range-of-motion problems or who are dealing with old injuries. If you are looking for a dynamic and effective workout with a coach who is committed to helping you improve your fitness level, I strongly recommend Tyler and Bishop Arts Fitness.

I’ve attended two training sessions with Tyler and I absolutely love it! I’ve been working out and being active for decades and these few sessions have been some of the best workouts that I’ve participated in. I also appreciate that the sessions are tailored to anyone, anywhere in their fitness journey. I went with two close friends that do not workout at all, and they still found the classes perfect for them as well. I highly recommend joining at class with Tyler 💪

I've been doing personal training with Tyler for the past two months, and I'm so impressed with the personalized approach he takes. He's incredibly flexible, always understanding my goals and limitations, and adjusts workouts based on how I'm feeling that day. It’s clear he's not following a one-size-fits-all plan—he tailors every session to my needs and even incorporates activities I enjoy. He knows when to push me just the right amount. Highly recommend if you're looking for a trainer who really listens and adapts to you!

Capacity days are no joke! This was my first group workout with Tyler. He's super nice and knows his stuff. He explained the workout, led us through a warmup to get familiar with each movement, and was a great cheerleader offering recommendations on rep counts, form, and breathing throughout the workout. The gym is spacious and well equipped. I'll be back next week. You should join me!

I would recommend Bishop Arts Fitness to anyone. The space is clean and well organized with new equipment. The programming and workouts are well thought out.

I have a history of some injuries that were addressed by Tyler by modifying movements to challenge me without putting me at a risk for re-injury. I really enjoy the coaching

Had the opportunity to attend a class as part of the gym’s opening. The instructor was very knowledgeable and ensured all participants understood the goal of the session and that everyone had correct form for each exercise. Our instructor also spent time after the session showing me stretches and strengthening exercises to help rehabilitate a lingering hip injury that already seem to be helping. Highly recommend this gym!
