The Black swan yoga is great. I would like more that coaches shows every exercise, not just 2-3, and I would like if I make a wrong pose that they correct me. Because if you don’t do a pose correctly, it can be bad for the body. Besides that, I highly recommend.

A friend convinced me to take a public class for the first time here and I loved the experience despite my nervousness!
Specifically, Jake’s slow flow on Sundays is a wonderful way to relax at the end of the week when I can make it!
When I came in for my first class I told him I was new to it and he was extremely supportive before we got started and helpful during the class. He took the time to walk me through the best way to stabilize my form before attempting to balance myself for a pose I was really struggling with.
I’ve gone to a couple classes at this one and many others at the Skillman location.
10 out of 10 would recommend!!!

Black Swan is hands down my favorite yoga studio in the Dallas–Fort Worth area—and it’s also the most affordable. With a wide variety of teachers and classes, it’s easy to find something that fits your pace and skill level. 10/10 recommend!

I love this place! But the parking lot situation it is the worse! Hope you guys can figure that out, maybe telling people for please leave after they class? I almost missed a class looking for a spot, and then 5 minutes later someone left but the door was already locked. Also not sure if there is a limit the amount of registration in class and it is just too much people for the amout of parking spots. 🤷🏽♀️

Have been coming here recently through class pass and love it! It’s a very affordable and nice place to do yoga. The lights and black floors make a nice atmosphere. From my experience all the classes have been heated. Another review said it felt too ‘clique ish’ to them but I have not gotten that vibe at all during my beginner flows. Only downside is the blocks always stink! It reeks once you get close to the block wall. Idk if they sanitize them or if that’s something they rely on us to do. But if so maybe they could communicate that better to us. Overall great place for the price.

Dan is the best teacher here. He is the only reason I have kept my membership. After we lost Cande the studio hasn’t been the same. Alondra is amazing too. Miss our experienced good teachers. We also need MARCO here bc he is amazing. Hiring all of these new teachers with little to no experience is just not it. You can see how much this studio has changed by the management. Will keep coming to Dans classes as long as I can.

New to the area and looking for a solid yoga community. I'm not great at yoga (yet) from not practicing for a while and was hoping this would be the place. The class itself was good. It is hot yoga, so that's important to know, but that part was fine. The front desk staff and teacher were a bit abrupt, which was off-putting and not what I've experienced in other studios. I didn't feel "welcomed." Also, the class was supposed to be for "Beginners," which I specifically wanted due to being out of practice and not in the most athletic shape. However, most of the people in the class were very much in shape and seemed to move quite easy from pose to pose, and I felt awkward (which is 100% on me, I'm aware). The instructor wasn't that encouraging, just very matter-of-fact and brusque. While the class was fairly good, I doubt I will be back as it felt very "clique-ish" and not welcoming for newcomers. I'll keep searching for a different studio/community.

I love this studio-especially Alex's 6am Power Flow, he is so funny and I love his approach to the practice. Long warm ups at a 6am class are essential!! He has great flows and the class always flies by!
I like the other teachers I have taken here as well. Really great bang for your buck. I started going to Black Swan when I lived in Austin and I'm so happy to have found some new favorite teachers here in Dallas.

This was my first time back in this space in 6 years, and it was amazing!! 🩷
I went to the All Flow class with Savanna substituting, and it was the perfect speed. Just challenging enough to break a sweat and leave feeling accomplished, but not so difficult that you want to quit and sneak out after the first 10 minutes of class lol
6 years ago, I had a bad experience with a teacher adjusting me without my permission, and she injured my back. I was pretty scared to go back to a class after that and JUST started dipping my toe back in within the last year. So glad I came back here.
I will definitely be coming back to BSY! Can't wait! ✨️🧘🏾♀️

I've only been going here about a week now, but I cannot fully express how elated I am to have found this place. But I'll try!
First off, the selection of classes is unlike anywhere else I've been in that the majority of them are Power Yoga classes. Now, for the uninitiated, don't be daunted by the name as it simply implies a class that flows together (similar to a dance) and at times can be a little faster paced. Furthermore, each class is unique to the teacher, and it seems the teachers will generally change up the sequences of their classes on a monthly basis, so there's little chance of ever getting bored. I've enjoyed every teacher I've had thus far, and highly recommend any of them: Dana, Marcos, James, Alondra, Cande, Dan, & Jorge.
The classes themselves are challenging yet structured beautifully, and the teachers cue ample opportunities for easier modifications or more virtuosic variations. I especially like that there isn't a set sequence to the classes, as I find that can get quite old quite fast. The classes leave you feeling tested yet inspired, with a palpable sense of harmony and connectedness that I am not totally sure how to explain.
The space is open and expansive, which is good since the classes here are popular and well-attended. The lighting is primarily natural rays spilling in from elevated windows, but they also appear to have gallery lighting for when the sun goes down. They have a new floor as well. The temperature is just right for me, being in the low to mid 90s, which I feel allows me to focus on the movement rather than be distracted by how hot I feel, such as at other Bikram-based studios. The facilities are clean and well-kept, though I do wish the water dispenser they have also chilled the water.
Lastly, the class price is simply unbeatable. For single drop in classes, suggested donation is between $10-$20, which is an absolute steal when you consider the quality of the classes. Even the monthly membership option is a pittance at $88 a month!
Again, I am so thrilled I have found this studio, and look forward to expanding my practice with them for a long time!

Love Black Swan. I think the most helpful thing to know is that every teacher is super different so if you don't like your experience try another teacher. This isn't a place with a uniform style and you can definitely find someone you like. Every instructor has a different vibe, style, personality, and flow. Try them all and pick your flavor.
I will also mention that I've been to many Beginner classes here and even in those classes most teachers assume a base level of knowledge. If you are a true beginner and are learning moves and poses for the very first time and want hands on assistance or for the instructor to slowly break down each movements you may try a video or another place (or try every Beginner instructor at BSY). I've only really experienced one or two instructors who break the poses and movements down for true beginners. Just something to keep in mind but definitely not a deal breaker.

There are a lot of really good instructors at this studio, but if I had to pick a favorite it would have to be Cande V. Her positive, upbeat attitude is contagious and the benefits that I get from her classes are ones that the gym alone simply cannot provide (core strength/stability, athletic injury rehab/prevention, calmness, and relaxation). If you have not been here before I highly recommend giving one of her classes a go!

Lovee!! I joined black swan pre-pandemic and recently ventured over to the Lover's location and ah - it hits yall! Strong instructors and you can find the perf blend of calm vinyasa to kickass pilates. Some of my faves are Ruben, Cande and I had the privilege of taking Ellen's first class!
Ruben will give you next level bad bunny/britney flow to where to feel the best burn the next day! Cande and Ellen are wonderful and take you through the full meditative flow which gives me the perfect blend! Highly recommend. Location/parking are also prime - no issues to date on that piece!

UPDATE: 11/03/21
Soooo I gave this place another chance and have been back 3 times since then . I picked up Alex's beginners class on Sunday and that itself TURNED MY WHOLE EXPERIENCE AND PERCEPTION of the place around 🙌🏻 . He guided us throught the flow in a very gentle but "push yourself more carefully " way . And boy did I pushed myself! It was motivating and humbling experience. I worked hard , sweat alot but enjoyed the calmness and stillness before class was over.
I would still like to see more beginner classes at accessible before and after work times though.
I REAAAAAALLY wanted to love this place but was not as happy as I thought I'd be . I took the Candlelight Slow Flow with Kevin and 10pm and just wished I wasn't literally in the dark as much as how I felt with the way the class was given. We were all asked if this was our 1st time, which it was for both my friend and I, so we raised our hand and answered yes. We thought he asked to guide us as newbies..but nope! We had to wing it 😹 like when you go to zumba and don't have rhythm and don't know the steps!? Yep! That's how.
I wish it had been guided with a louder voice or with a headpiece and a speaker . The music was louder than his voice and it just wasn't my best experience. I'm closer to Bishop and may give them a try. Parking wasn't as bad as it's been mentioned but it may have been due to the time .
I would love to see BlackSwan have beginner classes in the evening too. I can't make a 10 am or 2pm at all since My work shift is 9-6p and by the time I make it to oak cliff It's 7pm . Also, once you're past the lobby .... that's the studio!
I was expecting a closed room like other places I've been but it's open floor . The cars passing by blinded me with the headlights coming through the window a few times too 😵 .. maybe curtains?

Being new to yoga, I didn’t know what to expect when I began attending Black Swan back in May 2021. I was in desperate need of relief from my back pain and heard that yoga could provide just that. I’m pleased to say that after 5 months of consistent training, my back feels great. I wake with the occasional tightness, but the pain has completely passed. I’m certain that yoga has contributed to my improved wellness, but enough cannot be said about the teaching staff at Black Swan who’ve guided me throughout my journey. They’re all very knowledge in yoga, but it’s their kindness and thoughtfulness that keeps me returning to the mats. One teacher in particular, Shaila, has been exceptionally kind and encouraging. At age 43 and with a long list of injuries, I know better than anyone just how bad my yoga is. Yet, no matter how hard I struggle with a pose/posture, Shaila is always there encouraging me on with complements far more generous than I deserve. Noticing that I no longer enter poses that load weight on my injured shoulder, Shaila in her thoughtful and caring way, took the time after class to ask how I was doing. A small gesture, but it meant so much as I cope with the reality of being unable to do many of the things I once took for granted. I have countless other stories of the many ways in which Shaila and others at Black Swan have welcomed me to the studio and have continued to encourage me to meet my full potential. I wish I had the time to share them all, but suffice it to say that they’re great. You’ll love them and the many ways in which yoga will improve your health and wellness.

Alondra is the energy we all need! I haven’t been in months but when I showed up she remembered me & it was so kind to receive a welcome back ! She will kick your butt good, beginners should at least know the basics to keep up but if not you can follow along at your own pace & watch the rest of the rest of the class to help guide you.

We tried the Fitness Sculpt class for the first time (first time ever to a Black Swan studio too). We arrived 30 minutes early bc we needed to sign waivers and, after contacting the studio to confirm, to secure a spot. The door was propped ajar so we didn't the small sign that tells users the studio is "lobby-less." We walked in, talking and laughing, expecting to check-in and get the tour and waiver, etc. Instead, we were asked to leave bc a class was going on, which is completely understandable but as new people in a new place, it's always better when expectations are set first.
Anyhow, we left and came back at 10 'til. Good experience upon entry. Everwas friendly and helpful. The class itself is good. I got a great workout, burned a good number of calories thanks to the heat, but it's a slow-paced class. No cardio. All yoga and weights segments are slower paced. My friends LOVED it😍...I prefer a bit more challenge, shorter transitions, more sweat, faster pace, etc. Overall, great instructors, good experience. We all would go again!

I enjoyed myself at Tuesday’s Yin with sound bath, however there were many folks who did not make it “on the mat” because of space limitations and had to set up on concrete flooring. First class with Emily O. and she is *fantastic*! I’m a certified teacher (although I don’t currently teach), so I rarely am impressed but felt the need to leave this review: Very challenging, conscientious about counter poses, and not just random sequencing. My Apple watch logged highest calorie burn ever at BSY, yet I left relaxed and renewed. What I loved most, she leaves her ego at the door, and it’s all about the students. BRAVO 👏
I’ve been coming to BSY Lovers Lane since they opened and it’s a great yoga studio in Dallas: try out different teachers to find your best fit.

So me and my sister saw an flyer on Facebook for a yoga class, and it looked very diverse and fun! However, when we arrived at 7:04 the doors had been locked and the lights had been turned off in the front. So In despair, we walked around to the side of the building to see if there was an entrance but there wasn’t. We had driven 46 mins to come to this class and couldn’t even speak to anyone! This is horrible! At least they could’ve had someone in the front to explain to us that, they weren’t accepting late people. I didn’t see a sign on the door, and I really to pee. I’m super disappointed!

Love this place as a student & teacher. I remember my first class I took at BSY Austin & told myself that when I became a yoga instructor, I would work at Black Swan Yoga, especially if they opened a location in Dallas! And now I’m teaching at BSY Dallas & there are currently two locations in Dallas! Love the variety of class styles & even teachers. No one teaches exactly the same & that’s what I love about the culture of BSY Dallas. It’s a very inclusive for students & even teachers. I’m a queer person of color & feel so welcomed here. I’ve been going to BSY for almost a year now at Bishop Arts and always have an amazing time. Everyone is super sweet and the instructors always have an amazing vibe. However, I went to the Lovers Lane location for the first time this Saturday at 10 AM to go to Marco’s class and had an awful experience with the girl at the front desk. I brought my fiancé with me who rarely does yoga so we normally do a mat rental. I’m aware of everything going on with the pandemic, but I looked online first to see if there was any information about if you guys were still doing mat rentals and all I could find was that you guys still were (I figured you were sterilizing the mats now). Well I ask the blonde girl at the front desk and she very rudely said “Uhm, I don’t know if you’re aware of what’s going on right now but there is kinda like a really big pandemic going on called Corona Virus so no, we’re not doing them.” I was very taken aback by this due to the staff normally being super sweet. I tried to explain how I looked online and she cut me off to further explain that I could buy a mat for $25. I ended up buying a mat but the selection was super small. I don’t appreciate being spoken to that way and this made my fiancé not feel comfortable. Started off the session with a really bad vibe. I doubt I will be coming back to this location again. Marco was amazing per usual though and I do love the Bishop Arts studio!

Black Swan Dallas is my home! I’ve never been to a studio that was so welcoming of EVERYONE that walks through the door. It does not matter your background or skill level there will be someone there cheering you on and celebrating your accomplishments! There is a good reason the classes were packed pre-pandemic. Leave your self doubt at the door and collect all of the happy that the studio brings. So do your body a favor and check out some of the fire classes Black Swan offers. Dana Hill class will change your life!!!!! One of my biggest things with enjoying yoga is to make sure I’m doin it correctly, she critiques you which in itself is so amazing. She challenges you mentally and physically and also spiritually. It is very rare when you find a instructor who can give you all three of those things yet most of all she enjoys it and it makes you enjoy it! Dana Hill , if you see this I want you to know that you are literally an inspiration, I’m not sure if you ever needed confirmation to know that you are doing an amazing job if so here is your confirmation! Please never change if you do only get better!!! I hope to one day inspire others as you have inspired me! #Yourbadass!!! #NamaSLAY!!!! Be ready to sweat! I’ve been coming here for over a year and have hit the San Antonio and Houston locations too. I’ve been been impressed by them all.
The Dallas location has a great mix of instructors who have the freedom to put their spin on each class. All the instructors are available before and after class to discuss injuries, specific poses or general health and positive mindset.
Try different classes until you find the one you like best. Being all levels they allow for modifications. However, be ready for a great workout, great music and super friendly environment. The owners are doin it right!
Don’t be shy asking about form or postures you’re unsure of. If you want to switch it up check out a deep stretch yin class!

Hands down the best studio in Dallas - Brittany's class is my FAV but I have taken other instructor's classes and been obsessed. I drive all the way from Plano sooooo you know it's real. Best music, vibe and people!

Love this studio! I hope they open a location in Oak Cliff. Marco is the best instructor! Really wish you could get ahold of the actual studio when you called though. Everything else about this studio is amazing!

My friend had the idea of taking a hot yoga class and Black Swan was suggested to us. I was so nervous! But we got there and it was actually really cool. We took the beginner class which I felt was a little more advanced. I loved it though! I want to take more classes! I live in Mesquite so I am trying to find a place closer. None of them have the ambiance Black Swan has. I loved the dark room and the neon colors. The other studios are all bright and don't look as relaxed.

The studio itself is very nice. The class was all right and the instructor wasn’t very friendly. I haven’t decided if I’ll take another class and just try a different instructor.

Visiting from out of town, and it was exactly the class I was looking for after the food holiday. Power flow, more of a group fitness feel than yoga but absolutely great Saturday morning class.

I absolutely love this studio. I’ve been a few times and found myself to be completely relaxed and feeling great after my practice. I think what differentiates this studio from others is the vibe and supportive friendly staff. Thank you.

Did power yoga and was the best hot yoga workout I’ve had. Loved the music, the merchandise and the instructor, Noah! He was very motivating and challenging! So excited to go again!
