The Blink Fitness in NRH is my favorite location. It has more space and the equipment is always in good shape. The staff is friendly and the parking has never been an issue for me. The cost of the membership is far better than anything else I have seen for a gym with free weights, hammer machines, showers, lockers, cardio equipment, and items to purchase. I have been a member for a long time and will continue to be a member.

Can a member of this gem since it was Fitness 2000 in 1999 I've always loved the location and has exactly what I need as far as equipment goes. Since blink has taken it over the facility has been kept pretty clean and the staff has been really nice!

UPDATE: Even though I spoke with the managers about the incident and cancelled my membership, they STILL tried to charge my card. When I refused to pay since had already cancelled with the manager, they reported it on my spotless credit. Just incompetent across the board.
PROS: Good for a casual workout, Good for the consistent trainer who gets up early for a daily quick workout.
Good location, easy parking!
CONS: too small. Often crowded in the mornings. Terrible personal training. btw I used several. no oversight. High turnover in employees. Disorganized non present management, no locker room, few choices for squat racks, not a pro gym.

1 star because this is the biggest blink fitness in the area and they can’t even seem to provide hip thrust pads. I had to purchase my own and carry it around with me. Also there 2 leg extension machines and one is ALWAYS broken. It’s like they fix it temporarily and the coming week it’s broken again. It’s so disappointing to be completely honest. I’d rather drive to the Blink in Keller.

Gym is alright, but hours absolutely suck. Always seems as though there is never anyone at the front desk to greet you. Employees seem like bored high schoolers, you could at least look busy. The manager is some mixed lady (only saying that bc I dont know her name )who maybe had good intentions but told my friend that she could sign up for only 1 dollar. My friend asked if she would take cash, and she responded with yes, we even take food stamps... like what is that supposed to mean? She was obviously not thinking when she said that. Watch your mouth, ma'am. Just for that alone, she is not signing up.

Staff is all very young and sometimes greets you and says have a good workout and other times aren't at desk.

Horrible management team there , they got me charged for a new month after I canceled my membership and literally I had to go to speak to one of the managers there in person to get me out of their system and not to be charged for another month, I was told I will get a refund for that month they charged me for no reason and without permission and I didn’t hear anything back from them or didn’t even got my money back, apparently they don’t know anything about customer service neither care to do their jobs right. Definitely I don’t recommend this gym and this location at all !

I thought I cancelled a year and a half ago, then six months ago I started getting charged over double the original amount every month. I called to cancel 2 more times only to discover each time that it wasn’t cancelled the next month. A year and a half later hopefully I am officially done. But that is after 6 months of unauthorized payments with a credit card that they shouldn’t have info for and a last name that hasn’t been mine in 15 years. They are scamming old customers!

UPDATE::: I called them up and seems that they have had a change in manager and they refunded me my 3 months. I reverted to my previous 5 star rating but took one off for lack of communication and due diligence, also lack of cleaning materials. However the new manager seems like she's on track to fixing all issues caused by the last manager and is being transparent about it. I'd still ask you all to keep an eye on your bill just in case. Advice to the management still, stop the generic updates as it looks bad from the customer's perspective.

UPDATE::: All the complains on cancellation issues are true. I have gone in person and cancelled my membership in front of the manager and I have a copy of my cancellation form. This form includes paying off my remaining 45 day notice balance yet they been charging me for the past 3 months. I just noticed today on my bank statements. I will post a copy of my cancellation notice once this issue is cleared. Please be aware and check your bank statements regularly people.

Pros: I like the atmosphere of the gym. Plenty of equipment for beginner to intermediate lifters. They have nice group classes for all ages. I really appreciated Dominic's excellent customer service skills on resolving an issue I was facing. Plenty of parking in this location. Crowd is a mix of all ages.

Cons: This location is a bit small, very cramped and crowded. Doesn't bother me much most times. They also need paper towels but they said they removed it because of covid.

Looks like I am not the only one trying to get scammed out of money. I canceled my membership a year ago because of the pandemic. Then was forced to go in in person to cancel again a month ago. Still getting billed and still getting emails of charges for months I have not gone to Blink. Overall location was not bad. Clean machines and plenty fitness options. However front desk had staff but someone always had to be called over for any account questions. Management not very informative or helpful. I will be escalating my situation soon.

Clean facility, not overly crowded but repairs are dismal. Machines that have out of order signs do not get repaired in a timely manner. Theres at least 2 plate loaded machines and pin loaded that had signs on them for 6 wks. Most are just loose bolts that just needs an allen wrench to tightened. Go elsewhere unless you are grandfathered in from fitness 2000 when blink took over. My membership is less than $50 a year is the only reason I'm still there.

I cancelled my membership with the Bedford location over a year ago. In the last few weeks I have received many text messages and emails stating that I owe money for overdue fees. I spoke to someone on the phone who told me that they lost the record of my cancellation and to go into the North Richland hills location in person to fix the issue. I went to the North Richland Hills and the girls at the desk stated that no one there was capable of fixing their inaccurate charges. They also told me that they did not have any records of *any* cancellations from the Bedford location.

I don't like to write negative reviews, but when its time to do it i do it. If I could, I would give them a zero, not happy! they never explained me about the membership and when I went to cancel it they didn't help me avoid the $67. They told me that they could not help me because they did not have the capacity because they were below other people. It would be good if the administration takes the time to educate its members so that they can provide a better service. Please! Apart from the negative experience I have, I can say that the gym is very clean and the people respectful. Honestly surprised at the bad reviews. Can’t please everyone I guess. I’ve lived in this area my whole life and have been at most gyms around here. This one is affordable and clean. If a machine is down it’s fixed within atleast two days. Plenty of equipment. It is a smaller location but has never felt cramped. The app lets you see the current gym capacity before you go. This is for sure a top gym for me! More variety on the TVs would be nice but that’s my only complaint!

Worst gym i've ever dealt with. Signed up with them before they were Blink. Somehow they locked me into a contract with Blink even though I never signed anything. Since I never set up a Blink account I have no member ID to set up an account. I've dealt with 2 managers who told me I wouldn't be charged. They sent my "Overdue charges" to a collection agency. Paid that because they wouldn't drop the charges and now they're still charging me AFTER I was told twice I wouldn't be charged anymore.

It took 12 emails 4 calls to which the managers said they would handle it and forward it to the person above me and that person would call me(they never did), all of which were ignored and replied to with a generic copy paste response.

I had to report them to the better business bureau to get any type of actual response, which ended up with them sending me a 'legacy contract' from the gym that I had signed up for who was originally at this location. The contract wasn't ever signed, they basically just typed up an excuse so they could claim they had a reason to charge me continuously. I have never dealt with a worse company in my entire adult life. All of the managers at this location are incompetent and you will get scammed if you sign up.

If you want proof look at the copy pasta response they put on my review. You can't tell people that you're transparent about your cancellation policy when you're ignoring the entire fact that I never even signed up for your gym in the first place.

Never got to go to the gym. Signed up right before covid and then the city shut down. Moved during covid so I didn't need the services anymore. Tried shutting down the account. I chose this gym because they have a kids club and I'm a single mother. When I signed the woman who signed me up used the kids club as a selling point. When the company switched names our son was told he could no longer workout here due to his age(and a different company policy) We understood and they canceled his membership. I've been going to this location for years b4 it became blink. At first I was hesitant, but a manager was very patient with me discussing payment and how things are pretty much the same.
I love the new row machines, ropes, and the water station was upgraded with a purifier. Theres a new snack area, and merchandise for ppl who forget to wear a shirt to the gym.
I havent had the chance to attend classes bc of covid hitting not long after the company changed.
Ps. The staff is super awesome for cleaning and helping the gym stay safe as possible during this pandemic. The yoga balls, foam rollers, and ropes have been taken off the floor for obvious reasons. I was told I'm more then welcome to bring my own. They check the mats out and ask that you return them to the front area so they can be cleaned. <3

This gym is a scam and it's really frustrating to see how complicated you make it for people to cancel their membership AND question me where I am moving so you can get me to sign up to another one of your garbage gyms.

I can't tell you how difficult it is to get out of a membership because I havent had to try, but I will say that if you want to get a good hard workout in a great space with lots of gear it's MORE than worth the money.

They have lots of cardio gear, weights, and nice open spaces for stretching and floor exercises which is rare at most gyms. I was a member before they became Blink and remolded and I have to say they did a great job. The place looks and is much bigger and enjoyable to workout in. Another nice thing about this gym is it's not a social gym in the sense that it's not a typical be seen, or meat market gym. You can go to Blink and not chat with a soul with your headphones in which is what I prefer to do.

A couple of small drawbacks with this location is the bathrooms are small, although they have several showers that are enclosed for privacy which is great. They also have separate changing rooms which is great as well. The biggest gripe I have with the location is the lack of tissue paper. I know this sounds crazy, but sometimes you need to clear your sinuses and they provide no tissue anywhere and I honestly have a small issue with this. If one of the managers read this and can tell me where it is that would be great? Maybe they have some at front desk? Not sure...

The only thing I wish they had that they don't is a sauna! If you guys had a Sauna where I could get my sweat on and decompress I would pay double the price! I'm actually looking to get another gym membership so I can have access to just a Sauna, so if you're reading this Blink, I know lots of guys whom would sign up if you offered a dry sauna...
