British Swim School offers swimming lessons for kids and adults, starting as early as 3 months. Located inside LA Fitness, we're open year-round and welcome both gym members and non-members. You can learn to swim when you’re ready and continue until you’ve mastered the skills. We use gentle teaching methods and a survival-first approach to help swimmers of all levels become safer and more confident in the water. Our safe, fun, and effective teaching methods have made us the preferred choice for parents and students for over 40 years. Our confidence-building curriculum and small group swimming classes provide a consistent format and structure with one-on-one attention for each swimmer. Private swimming lessons are subject to availability.

British Swim School at LA Fitness on Bulverde Rd has been amazing for my four grandchildren, ages 11 months to 9 years. The coaches are patient, encouraging, and skilled with all ages. I’m amazed at the progress—after just one month, my grandson (who started at 10 months and is now 11 months) is already mastering impressive swim skills! All the kids love their coaches, and we couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend!

Our 2 year old loves going to swim class! He has made so much progress with swimming in just the few months we have been coming: starting to float on his back, much more comfortable and safe in the water as well as swimming independently with his swim ring. Very happy with his lessons.

My wife was looking for a swimming school and found the British swim school. My granddaughter started taking lessons and she got so good at swimming. We then took our grandsonbto prefect his swimming form and he has done awesome! So I enrolled at 67 years old I have always been afraid of water. Ms. Dominic my swimming instructor was so encouraging and gave the confidence to learn to swin and not be afraid of the pool. I am very thankful to the British swim school. Highly recommended!

We absolutely LOVE British Swim School! My 1-year-old daughter has been taking classes since February, and it’s been incredible to watch her grow in confidence and learn so many important water safety skills. She lights up every time we say it’s time for swim class and absolutely adores her coaches!
Sarah and Michael, the owners, go above and beyond! They’re always present, kind, and truly committed to keeping the highest standards in place. You can tell they genuinely care about each and every family. We’re so grateful to be part of a program that blends fun, safety, and skill so beautifully. To tell you that my daughter was afraid of the water is putting it lightly. She didn’t even like taking a shower, most days she would take a long time because she didn’t want to get the water in her eyes. The patience the coaches have is unparalleled to anyone I have seen anywhere. They have been hand picked by Michael and Sarah (owners) are these young women are amazing. My daughter has moved up 3 levels and swam backwards across the entire length of the pool! Wow! I was in shock. I am so proud of her accomplishments and can’t wait to sign up for classes for myself.

Overall, good experience. Think I would have benefitted more with more sessions (only went once a week). Not able to afford more at this time, but may continue later (the instructors were great, more comfortable in the water than before-I'm 68, goal to swim before 70 so still time!)
