I loved the performances but spectators paid $15 admission and had to sit on the floor.
As a 70+ grandmother it wasn’t very comfortable.

This place went downhill since the change in ownership. It was like a mass exodus when it switched over. It no longer feels like a family environment where the coaches and owners want the best for your athlete as a whole. Since Dawn left the front this place is extremely unorganized and unprofessional. The pain they put my athlete through is unbelievable and a form of bullying from adults. Imagine a coach taking away your child's self esteem and love for cheer. This too can happen to yours if you choose to send them here. Thankfully she recovered and is blossoming at another gym where she is truly valued.

This doesn't apply to all CA locations-just this one. Very unorganized, inconsistent, and I had a very unprofessional experience with one of the partner stunting coaches who never refunded me despite never following through with a session. It has been impossible to schedule anything as sessions and classes consistently get canceled last-minute. After several weeks of trying to get the refund I gave up and let him keep it. Not worth the trouble. Just very disappointed in the poor service by this CA. :( Looking forward to returning to CA Plano.

I was a cheerleader a good chunk of years ago. This gym is (physically) smaller than others I was a part of, and I had issues with a coach being a little creepy (amongst lots of small issues but nothing major) so I left. I think he’s gone now anyway and I don’t even remember his name. I was on a team for a season, but then I had lost passion in cheer by that time anyway, and my joints began to give out on me (I have constant pain now at 20 years old) Cheering since you were 6 will do that to you.

I called as an interest and that changed very quickly from the first call I had with whoever talked me. They didn’t introduce themselves at all. They gave one word answers and gave “I don’t care about you or this program” attitude. This turned me off and I will definitely look somewhere else.

We have been to several cheer gyms. This one is by far our favorite. There is enough room for the parents to watch and communication has been excellent. My daughter loves it. It is extremely challenging though.

Some of these reviews shock me honestly...My daughter has been in competitive cheer for 5 years and we have been at CA Austin for 2 of those years...first at the previous gym and now at the new location in Lakeway. I am one of those parents that is there for every practice because we live in Dripping Springs so thankfully we go to a gym where they have plenty of space for parents and allow us to watch all the practices!!! I see nothing but happy athletes, parents and employees in that building and we truly are blessed to be part of something so great! The coaches are THE BEST...yes they are tough and make you work hard but that’s what it takes to win...my daughter has had some of the best memories of her life at this gym WE LOVE IT!
And yes the gym is still making many improvements since relocating, it’s not an overnight process but we definitely do have cold air and the gym is amazing I can’t wait to see the many new things to come!

Stay away. Definitely not representative of the CA brand. Owners do not care about your children, it’s all about money and trophies. Coaches verbally abuse children and they try to hide it by not allowing parents to hear or watch practices. Parents and children walk around on eggshells scared to speak up. The new warehouse building is an oven. Cheap AC with no insulation that can’t keep up with Texas 100+. Any other gym in town is better if you care about your children.

We are going on our 4th season here in Austin. We love this gym and the director. Being apart of a large world known gym isn't for everyone. This gym requires dedication and alot of your time, which is why I won't go anywhere else. Please consider that when bringing your child. This isn't Pop Warner cheerleading.

This cheer gym is amazing! The coaching staff really care about the athletes on and off the mat. They push and help you reach your goals. If you're looking for a great cheer gym it's totally worth the time. We drive from South Austin a couple if times a week just to be able to work with them.
