I came to this gym using a free trial I was offered seeking for an alternative option to planet fitness given that my husband and I are bodybuilders. I was very excited BUT ....as soon as I walked in kindly asked one of the employees at the front desk to indicate me how the equipment was distributed. The employe pretty much said " I mean everything is there... (Like if I'm stupid not to see it) Weights over here, machines over there , If you want a tour I can give you a tour but since you got a free pass might as well do whatever you want" I said it's okay thank you.... His attitude was awful showcasing he had no interest to actually give my husband and I a tour or be helpful at all Secondly, I noticed right away there's few machines of the same type meaning that if the gym happens to be packed I can only imagine how long I'd have to wait to use a specific equipment. The vibe was not inviting , looks more like an old warehouse that was turned into a gym. The restrooms smelled like urine. Simply not what I expected at all considering price is higher than PF. Terrible trial experience , wouldn't come back, wouldn't not recommend.

this is the dirtiest gym i have ever been to. there was blood on the treadmill i used, and i had to use several wipes to clean equipment before using because there was such a thick layer of grime.

I've been going to this gym on and off in between breaks from college for the past 2 years and have really enjoyed this gym. It has clean open machines, free weights, and squat racks, as well as a cardio and grass area - all very well maintained. Highly recommend, will keep coming back for affordable prices.

Gym gets super packed and they have this dumb sign that says please do not read and its a slogan for the gym rules….. and there is alot of people that bring to the gym floor BIG bags and the gym staff walks past them…….. The one time I have my Bag* thats not even considered to be a backback its just a small pouch i use for my chain and belt to do pulls ups…the gym staff tells me i have to use a locker for a pouch!!!and they dont tell the other people nothing…. Also the people that DONT need to use the handicapped park there and thats sucks cuz i seen people that need it struggle .Showers are always broken and restrooms dirty . They have a whole empty room for yoga🤣 and only 2 pull up bars…. Ep fitness had monkey bars connected to multiple pull up bars. Really unprofessional gym was better when it was EP fitness cant wait for my contract to expire and leave DO NoT come to THIs GYM!!

The owner says that “ By adding this extra space, we aimed to provide a more private and less congested space for members to achieve their fitness goals,” in relation to the lift lab being added to this location.
However, all of the people paying the premium to use it shouldn’t be because it is open to all members and has been since December. Why are some people paying more per month if everyone gets to use the space that was meant to be less congested? Will all of the members who have been paying the premium be reimbursed because we’ve been paying more per month than everyone else who has had access to the same thing? We pay extra to go into a quiet, less congested space and now it’s just as packed as the regular gym. If I knew I could use the lift lab for the basic $10 a month after all, I would have never upgraded.

This gym has been trapped in time since it was EP fitness, Chuze came to add a small room with Squat racks and doubled the prize in membership. Lacks of Ventilation/AC EVERY time you enter you get this Musky smell due to lack of ventilation, Horrible gym tbh Will cancel my membership as soon I get a chance to visit because they don't do it by phone.

Great gym! The equipment is well maintained. Additionally their staff is super friendly. Daniel, Michael and Frank are always super friendly. I always see them on shift and when in doubt of an exercise, I always feel comfortable approaching them. Very hardworking guys!! Please give them a raise. :)

This place is just like the other ones , they say cancel anytime but they don't tell you how hard they make it for to cancel , they make your jump thru so many hurdles....I don't recommend it...

Bathrooms are always dirty. Also ever since they close the chuze in paragon the traffic in the resler location had gone up insanely, you have to wait upwards of 15 min on a machine to become available. Only 2 leg pressers and only one hack squat machine for the amount of people is insane, that if the equipment doesn’t brake which usually it does with a sign that says “pulled a hammy”. Also the area where the treadmills and turf are at with some machines is extremely hot I want to guess about 95 degrees, no AC whatsoever, not sure if it’s been broken or they won’t turn it on but it’s been like that since the beginning of the year. And yet they want to increase the prices.

I have been to a couple locations and the one on Resler is by far the worst. It is in serious need of remodeling. The bathrooms are not the best and the wood floor is warped and comming up. I tried 5 different elliptical machine before I found one that worked. However they are one of the cheapest gyms in elpaso and don’t require a long term contract. So if you don’t care about the look give it a try.

I used to go the the Paragon location , which they closed down, and that location was much better than this one. It was cleaner, bigger and had more equipment and the energy and vibe was better. The staff was friendlier, especially Bella. I can tell Resler location never mops the floors because I see the same stains on the floor all the time. At Paragon, I would always see the ladies mop, here never. They should’ve closed down the Resler location and kept the Paragon location.

I've gone to dozens of gyms, and Chuze has exactly what you need. You have the cardio equipment, machine weights, and free weights. This doesn't include all the extra equipment Chuze brought in the past few months. Under new management, I have seen cleaning is a top priority. Give this place a try and you might be surprised.

Equipment lacks good maintenance. Dumbbells destroyed, don't weigh accurately causing lack of balance. Much of the equipment needs adjustment and isn't t balanced causing bad results during exercise. The gym assesses an annual fee designated for improvement of equipment and location

I went to the Chuze on Resler and there is this skinny black guy that works there, he was very commanding and rude when telling me about my backpack.
He said I give you 5 minutes or I am gonna terminate your membership.
I wasn't even arguing and he keep telling me dumb stuff.
I could work out anymore he kill my vibe.
PF is not a better gym but it sure has more vibe than chuze.

Please talk to your employees on how to treat and respect costumers or a costumer is gonna have to teach them

Those punching bags are really high up there too high I hurt my wrist trying to keep hitting up , the weighted part of the punching bags the bottom is almost at chest height of the average person , you guys need to hang those punching bags more down they are too exaggerating high more people are going to be injured

Was excited about going since it’s a new company and they offer group classes but was VERY disappointed. Too many high schoolers, guys trying to lift way more than they can handle and dropping weights every 2 minutes. This was by multiple people not just one . There wasn’t enough free weights or benches. Uneven surface in the free weights you could potentially roll your ankle easy. It was also extremely dirty and dusty in the weight area . I’ll be going to the other west side location to see if it’s any better. If not, back to the purple gym . The guy in the front was helpful though . They painted the walls and called it remodeled . 👎🏼

Wth? ...there's nothing wrong with this gym. Everything you need for a great price.
You don't wanna get "reprimanded" for taking your bag on the floor? Follow the rules... the same rule that literally ever other gym enforces.
$10 a month for literally anything you might need and you complain that you can't use the squat room reserved for higher paying members? Either use the racks in the general area, go to planet fitness which has zero free weights, or somewhere else that charges 50+ bucks a month.
There are plenty of sanitary wipe stations, idk wth that one reviewer is taking about.
Bathrooms don't smell like vomit... maybe a little bit like, oh, I don't know... a gym locker room? Otherwise they're plenty clean.
Staff is nice, any out of order equipment gets fixed in a timely fashion, there's equipment and space for literally any type of workout I wanna do (usually I do a push/pull/legs split fyi, but theres plenty for all other types of exercise), and although I'd prefer better hours during the weekend, I just kinda plan my day out a little better... you know, like an adult... and I got no big problems getting a workout in.

Don't let the complainers fool you, I have 3 gyms closer to my house, tried em all. I drive past each one on the way to Chuze and couldn't be happier.

I didn’t know this gym could get any worse that was until Chuze brought out EP Fitness. They promised to remodel the entire gym and ended up adding a section for the highest paying membership only. They removed paper towels from the ENTIRE gym forcing you to go use the old unsanitary hand dryers which I still don’t use anyways. The gym is very dirty. Bathrooms smell like vomit and need to be remodeled. The floors in the free weight area are uneven and have big gaps causing you to almost trip just by regularly walking . The bars are uneven and old. They only have a few plates so I find myself going across the gym to find some which are also very few old and have pieces torn off them missing.

Horrible new ownership. Got harassed multiple times for keeping my gym bag with me…hanging on my machines on the cute little hooks provided and off the floor…still got chased down and reprimanded making my gym going experience very uncomfortable and unpleasant. I will be cancelling my entire family’s membership today. Too bad. We’ve been clients for 7 years.
