Classes typically don’t start on time. Some reformer classes don’t use the reformer. Instructors come up prepared. Difficult to cancel your membership. There are better options elsewhere.

Do not visit this location, they are rude and unorganized. I tried to host a small group class here with friends visiting from out of town and they messed everything up, didn’t make the reservations, never responded (extremely hard to get someone to answer the phone) I had to tell half our group they couldn’t come last minute because they didn’t hold the spots for us and 2/3 of us were denied entry to the class after we took a $50 uber ride from downtown (with 7 empty reformers!! So we actually all could have come!) Faith at the front desk was extremely rude and on her phone while we were trying to sort things out with the manager. Also refused to refund us, will be calling Corporate. Choose another location!! So disappointing as I’m a member in another city and have never experienced anything close to this, left an extremely bad taste in my mouth about Club Pilates in general. Do better CP! Would give zero stars if I could.

This place deserves zero stars. We were supposed to have a class for a group of 10 people that are our business partners. All information was sent a week ago. Information was lost or not input properly on the club’s side, so only three could come. Due to traffic, we arrived at 8:08 for our 8 AM class. We were told we could not attend the class due to their 5 min grace period and we are now 3 minutes past that. Three minutes!!! They then proceeded to refuse to refund for a class we didn’t take, basically attempting to steal our money. Faith, the girl at the desk was too busy scrolling on her phone to even ask the instructor if we could join, which we found out was as an option while we were on the phone with the manager, but because she sat and argued with us for 10 minutes we were 15 minutes late. This place is full of it…. Save your money. You’d be better off with a YouTube video of Pilates than coming here to have your money stolen and treated like trash.

I absolutely love coming to Club Pilates at the Quarry! This studio has become such a special part of my weekly routine, and it’s 100% worth the drive every time.

Kip is an incredible instructor—her energy is so uplifting, and she has a way of explaining each movement that makes it easy to understand while also pushing you to challenge yourself. You can truly feel her passion for Pilates, and it’s contagious!

I’ve also had amazing classes with Catarina, Jessica, and Alana—each of them brings their own vibe and style, but they all share the same commitment to helping you move with purpose and strength. I haven’t had the chance to take a class with the other instructors yet, but I can already tell this studio is filled with talent across the board.

The environment is welcoming, clean, and motivating. Whether you’re new to Pilates or returning to it, this is the kind of place that makes you feel right at home while also helping you grow. Highly recommend!

2 excellent teachers, Kip & Nancy. The others leave a lot to be desired. Hard to book classes bc they fill up & the way the system is set up, if you don’t use your credits (bc you couldn’t get into the class you want) you lose the credits at the end of every month.

I didn’t feel challenged at all, at most it was a stretch. Not sure if it was the class … I’ve been to other Pilates studios and felt much more challenged and felt it afterwards.

The instructors are first class. I really felt like I belonged and it was an awesome community, excellent workout, top notch equipment and facilities.

Unfortunately, the business, scheduling and red tape of it all was such a turn off that I ended up leaving after nearly a year.

It's impossible to schedule classes with consistency, and missing a class would cost $20 in addition to paying nearly 200 a month for unlimited classes. The class time and instructors are inconsistent as well, so at 10 am every day you would get completely different classes with different skill levels and instructors.

Leaving the gym also cost me nearly $200 as you have to pay for an extra month even after I gave 3 weeks notice of my intent to leave.

The prices have increased 3x since I joined.

It's a great workout and obviously targeted to more wealthy clientele. I truly loved it and would stay if I could afford it and if it were easier and more consistent to access classes I wanted. The business should put some more thought into their scheduling model imo, but that's just me.

I probably won't find a replacement which sucks because this was my introduction to Pilates and I really loved it.

This place is an investment in me now and my future self. I had back surgery a few years ago, and was starting to feel stiffness and pain after an event at work. I went to a doctor and they said I needed to do these stretches and exercises to help, but the reality is that if I’m home I might do them. At these classes you strengthen your core, your back, as you are getting the rest of your body strong. It’s not cheap, but neither is back issues and being unfit. The equipment is top notch and the instructors are excellent (I hope they get paid very well), so it’s worth the monthly fee. I feel healthy, agile, and no more back pain. I love being able to move around effortlessly and easily. I did just turn 50, so staying in good shape is a priority for me. I want to be fit for the next 50 years. I am putting myself first and this is an invest in me and my health.

Update: I cancelled my membership with zero pushback to try a cheaper program with 24 hour access, and it was a disaster. I lost all the firmness I had gained, my back was hurting, and my clothes were fitting way too snug. So I came back and on the road back to being fit. With their help, I expect to be in the best shape of my life by my next birthday! I am a super frugal person, but not going to skimp on my health.

My elderly mother and I bought over $100 in Pilates items from the Club Pilates clothing boutique in San Antonio (located in the Quarry, off Basse Road). When selecting the items, the sales person told us that we could easily exchange these items if the size wasn't correct. Then AFTER taking our money and completing the purchase, another person joined the conversation as we were leaving (presumably a manager) and told us that they would not accept a return. It's worth noting that nowhere was the return/exchange policy posted and changing policies after a purchase is unethical and an illegal bait-and-switch business practice.

None of the items fit. Since I was told I could exchange them for the right size with no problems, I brought the items back to exchange them per their instructions. Yet, the store did not have the correct sizes to make this promise good, so I left the items for Club Pilates to issue a return. They have the merchandise and I still have not received a credit to my account over a month later. I wish I had looked at the other online reviews as the illegal bait-and-switch, poor ethics and unfriendly business practices is an issue that has shown up repeated times on the membership side as well. Please beware and stay clear of this business.

I talked to someone on the phone who told me the price was $89 she said she wanted my card number so she wouldn't have to bother me by calling again. She said she was going to text me all the information but instead charged $138 without authorization. There was a membership fee added without mention. It's weird to charge someone's card without giving them the exact total. They also signed a contract for me on my behalf.

The new management is horrible and need to be replaced asap. I’ve been a member for over a year and loved this place so much for their previous flexible and understanding policies that made the premium worth it. However, this new management price gauges and offers no flexibility in catering to their members. So disappointed that I am cancelling my membership due to this new manager’s terrible and condescending style of management. Such a disservice to the amazing instructors, who I absolutely adore! This studio was better off without a Karen for a manager!

I love the instructors here, so much! They are the reason to come back. The worst part about this Club Pilates is the front desk takes forever to answer phone calls. I call 3-5 times before I either get an answer or give up on trying to call.

I purchased 4 classes in Late Dec 2022 at the front desk in quarry market location. The receptionist took my card and hurried me into class as it was starting. I sprained my wrist in class first day and could not attend again. In January my card was charged an additional 89.00 without my ok. I have paid 178.00 and got 0 for it. I am a human ATM machine and it looks like many other women have left negative comments. Be aware of what they have you sign.

BEWARE! They are a nightmare to end your membership with and even after you end your membership they still try to charge your credit card. Instructors are nice but trying to get classes before or after work at beginner level is hard- they are always overbooked!

It took me several months to actually cancel due to their "policies" and even though I signed paperwork and got email confirmation of my cancellation 1/24/23 they auto-charged my credit card a full month later in February on 2/24/23.

I ended up spending 2 months in fees after I no longer used their membership and initially tried to cancel it- what a rip off!

DO NOT FALL FOR the "freeze option" it will cost you $$$! I tried canceling my membership before my trial period was over locking me into a contract (or so I thought!) and let them talk me into freezing my membership for a monthly fee in NOVEMBER- not realizing that I couldn't then cancel my membership without having to pay a full month at regular price. They blamed a manager "who was no longer there" for what happened with my account but I suspect this is how they make $$$.

Poor management, customer service, and communication. The front desk will regularly not answer phone calls during business hours. Spots in classes are difficult to secure as there seems to be a shortage of instructors which is likely also related to the studio’s management issues. The instructors are beyond fantastic, but management detracts significantly from the experience.

The two most recent reviews (now three including my own) are also 1-star which is indicative of and really highlights the studio’s poor policies and practices.

The regional manager up in Austin confirmed these ongoing issues and communicated that there was a change of management in effect at the Quarry location, although new management is really missing the mark and seems to be dependent on regional management to execute functions.

The studio’s lack of flexibility, care, and understanding for customers ultimately led me to cancel my membership. Would recommend looking into different studios around town that prioritize customer retention and satisfaction over profitability.

Would do 0 stars if that was an option. I was using my Passport pass (allows you to go to any Club Pilates in the US) while visiting family in San Antonio. Having never been to a Club Pilates outside of CA, I was looking forward to my classes that I had booked. My first class was at this location in the dark, pouring rain—this studio is also located in a LARGE shopping center, so unfortunately I was running a bit late. I got to the door by 7:05pm, which was LOCKED with no one at the front desk. I finally got another member’s attention in the class, while I was still outside in the rain. She thankfully alerted the front desk girl, who I’m 99% sure took my spot in the class. I only say this because she was not at the front desk, had locked the front door (HUGE fire/safety hazard), appeared to be behind the wall where the reformers are, and was in a sports bra (aka appearing like someone who is participating in a fitness class). She softly came over to the front door to unlock it and let me in. Her demeanor appeared very guilty, also making me think she took my spot. She explained to me the late policy, which I am fully aware of having been a member for sometime, and clearly felt bad considering 1) I was coming from out of town/first time there 2) the weather was a mess/it was dark outside/cold 3) she most likely took my spot and 4) I was locked outside in the rain. She promised me that because I drove all the way out that she would “make sure I wasn’t charged the $15 no-show fee”. I took her on her word, and was charged the $15 fee and never got her name. I have been trying to call the studio for the past 2 days at various times, totalling 11 calls. You’re much better off booking a class at their Stone Oak location where their staff actually care to serve their clients and not their own interests.

Love this place! I've only been going for a month or so, but it's truly made a huge difference in my posture, flexibility, strength, etc. Everyone is so nice at the studio and every class is different which makes it feel like something new everytime. I signed up for unlimited classes because you can go to however many classes you want, and I always find myself wanting to sign up for more and more every week. Best fitness decision I have made.

Horrible experience with this place. Don’t waste your time or money. I literally had a c-section after cancelling my membership and they continued to charge my card $200 2 more times as I protested and told them to stop. I just had major abdominal surgery and can’t come close to doing Pilates…

Businesses that take advantage of lengthy contracts they make customers sign to squeeze every last penny they can get out of you need to be held accountable. As a business owner myself I like to focus on repeat revenue and customers leaving happy and returning happy… they got their last $200, good for them. Never returning and will tell everyone I know to stay far away from this place!!!! Also, super lame Pilates…. I’m not even saying that out of annoyance… they literally have signs around the studio trying to get customers to become instructors. Red flag when you’re trying to source your employees through your customer base.

I've been doing pilates for almost 4 years now and in several different places in the US. I have grown to love Club Pilates classical style and variation in classes. With Reformer flow and Cardio Sculpt you have everything you need for weekly balanced workouts that target full body. Kaylie, Hannah, and Victoria are soooo wonderful and I can't recommend them enough. They really stay true to the classic Joseph pilates style. TRY THIS STUDIO, you won't regret it.
